If the sprites actually look good (and sane) then it's a lot easier for people who don't like seeing it to tolerate it

Like, there's a difference between seeing another dude in a locker room and being approached by a manstitute in a parking lot, that kinda thing is how it feels

Platinude Version 7-2-6 is upon us!

This is probably the biggest single update ever.

It took me like 4-5 hours to get all the sprites edited and added. And I know there are still some sprites that have problems with the broken feet, so please be sure to tell me if you find any.

I also added a credits image for @iamnthan to the credits now that they have a profile picture and mine was moved back.

Down below are the added sprites (white) and then the normal progress document.

Also, you'll see down at the bottom that I found some sprites from Diamond and Pearl that are unique.

Most major trainers got overhauled in Platinum, so the Diamond and pearl ones will need edited eventually once we finish Platinude, which will likely be soon.

Also, don't forget the overworld sprites. We need those done eventually too.

Green means it hasn't been edited and should be edited

Pink means it has been edited but it needs more work/polish in some areas, though I couldn't really tell you what the current pink sprites need, except Caitlin's vs portrait needing to get Daroach/Darach nude as well.

Yeah that's what they mean.

It's a case by case basis with the pink sprites. sometimes it's just because I personally think they are in the most need of improvement.

You know how sometimes people go back over already added sprites and make adjustments to them.

• Breeder and Policeman: Dicks could use a little improvement.
• Dragon-tamer: Needs more than just his dick poking out.
• Waiter: It has gotta be painful to just have a bow tie on without a shirt underneath. Usually you have to attach a pin on it to the clothes, which doesn't work if it's just skin.
• Roark: His legs aren't aligned properly with the third sprite. Miner problem.
• Candice: Her waist looks a little wonky in her third sprite.
• Flint: His neck doesn't sit right with me.
• Cyrus: His head looks off without a neck in his second sprite.
• Caitlin: Darach needs to be nudified and added eventually, even though I am not looking forward to needing to edit Caitlin's sprites again.
• Mira: Her front sprites have no back pack while her back sprites do.

Where did you get Daroach from? Isn't it Darach?

Wut if Team Galactic all had their pubes shaved to look like their team emblem? Another idea would b just tattoos, but that seems like a bit of a cop out, imo

Where did you get Daroach from? Isn't it Darach?

Well, the sprite sheet says Daroach instead of Darach, and I never saw this guy before I came upon this mod, if I DID I probably forgot him since the battle frontier isn't really my thing. His name IS Darach, I just went with his name on the spritesheet, which is Daroach.

the same goes for this one, tho i'm not entirely sure what's exactly on Flint's neck, a choker of some sort... im not sure why I left it on tho 🤣 but I think I decided to leave it on for consistency since his VS image looks cool with it on...

speaking of consistency, I realized that Mira's Back sprite has her backpack while her front battle sprite doesn't... additionally, i think she's better without her backpack for clarity, too...

 

anyway, I'm extremely ecstatic that the project is nearing its completion. we are indeed so close and I can't wait to play the entire thing! ❤️

Even though I had previously stated that I like leaving accessories on, I do have to agree with this one, seeing as when I was beta-testing a while back, I accidentally mistook her backpack's straps for the straps on a dress, and even made a (embarrassingly) big stink about it on here.

I'm personally excited more for Deltarune Chapter 3. It's finally coming out tomorrow!!! Deltarune tomorrow. Can you believe it?

I might be able to get this update finished today, but if not, I'll get it done once I finish my Deltarune playthrough.

You are such a legend, @iamnthan. We'd definitely not have close to this many sprites if not for you.

Now, I think we just need the overworld sprites and any DP exclusives.

Do we want the unused sprites back?

Rowan is replaced by me but clothed, Bug Catcher is replaced by me but naked, and Scientist became a girl.

Regardless, I think I'm bringing Looker back and making the bunny suit sprites someone different, like maybe Professor Oak, even though he doesn't walk.

I was struggling so bad adding them so I decided to not include them anymore 🤣... if anyone can make it look good, they're free to do so, mine completely sucks when I attempted it 😭

here in our country (PH), we won't get our hands on the Switch 2 until the 26th, so yeah, i guess I have plenty of time to spare and make further sprite contributions... tho as a first-timer, it'll definitely be a challenge for me to make/edit OW sprites as they're too tiny for my eyes and I know that I would struggle keeping the details at a minimum with that miniscule size of sprite...

I think I would need a refresher on Deltarune, I can't remember if I was able to play Chapter 2, so might as well start from the beginning.

 

For now, I'm gonna continue my remaining days of vacation... I really need to take some time off, I shouldn't have brought my laptop with me. 🤣

Personally, I love those new sprites. They are adorable. 

 

And yeah, I, too  will be spending tomorrow night camping out in front of Best Buy, and then spending the entire next day setting up the system, doing system transfers, downloading mario kart, etc. Good thing I took off work Thursday and Friday.
