Sidenote: another reason I think it feels slow is because last year we had ZA launch which naturally brought more traction to all things Pokemon. Right now we're sort of in an awkward downtime between Pokemon games, hell even Champions release was still a couple months ago now. The main reason for the major traction during the beginning of the thread is just the natural momentum from the new project. When we finish projects and start new ones, the same thing usually happens too, its just how internet traction and momentum works sometimes

Also, Jesus, I cannot believe that I started on Platinude in July of 2024.

Update 5 was the first update I could find since that's the point it was renamed to nude platinum: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/89222-pokemon-hacksgames/page/21/#findComment-4419812

We've come a long way since then.

Also, remember that the pink sprites are edited sprites that I feel still need edits to be perfect. Those are fair game for everyone!

When I did edits for the platinude project, I often found it easiest working with already edited sprites. This is a good way to start!

I mean, in generation one he literally had a non-pokemon bird on his arm.

This was back when real animals existed in the pokemon world. Early installment weirdness.

That's what I already kinda do at the end of each project. I share the file system of all the sprites as they're entered into the game in the final update.

I suppose I could combine all the sprites together at the very end!

a very long, very fun wait. i'm not trying to be weird when i say this but i really enjoy the mods and feel a lot of potential even from future games. heck even some of the switch games have working nude mods(my fave is legends arcus but i want one with nude npcs too its only the main character so far). soooo much potential for pokemadness and fun times ahead

thats pretty funny and well done

we aren't doing pokemon for this project, but i think its funnier to imagine that for pokemon with clothes (jinx, machop line, sawk & throh), the "clothes" are actually part of their anatomy somehow.

See, thats why i think something like this is out of the scope of this project lmao, like what do we consider "Clothes" for a pokemon? The most comprehensive way to do this is to just alter every pokemon but, that sounds like a whole nother project

I guess making them anatomically correct would just be the only way. I imagine things like Meowscarada's mask and scarf to be detachable, or Jinx's clothing to be removable. And those are few and far between in what could just be clothing. Maybe ones like Delphox can have their "dress" just trimmed up, since it is just fur.

 

As much as I would love a anatomically correct pokemon version, the scope is very big. Some would need less work then others, that's for sure. People like me certainly find the idea of male bits on pokemon weird, since it wouldn't be anatomical and just look off imo. And it would be wrong to ask that sort of thing if some feel uncomfortable going the mile to keep it anatomical. That, and there would need to be double the work for both male and female pokemon. A lot of effort for something I don't imagine a lot of people, other then me and other furries/therians, would want or use. Could be wrong, who knows.

I say we go all in and remove their fur, hair, and feathers too. Anything that the pokedex implies could be removable without harming the pokemon gets taken away.

we could mostly ignore the male bits and double work by saying every pokemon has genital slits for one reason or another, technically. they all lay eggs and irl most creatures that lay eggs have a genital slit on males so...

The fact that we often discuss sprites in DMs also does not help matters. Although it does let both of us get our thoughts out quicker, it means that the thread gets less activity and only really gets personmcguy's final versions after Mx. Downbad and I have given our thoughts on them. So, you don't get the progress shots like this one:

Maybe I can try to convince Personmcguy to post more in-progress images here for you guys?

 

 

It is definitely possible that people are moving on from nude mods. They're a niche when you really consider it. You have to actually participate and play a game to see the "sexy stuff", just like with nsfw games on itch.io, newgrounds, or some sort of piracy site. 

I really wish I could have done more towards the projects you guys are working. I must admit I've been really distance from both this thread and my Nude Moemon one and that is something I really have to apologize for. I really should've help you guys and personmc upkeep the spirit of the thread and updates, especially since I'm fully capable to do so. It's just that I've been really sluggish with my life entirely, leading to me not even drawing and practicing art that much outside of these hacks also.

So I would like to apologize to everyone for not commiting to my work, the community to the best of my ability. I really do want to help you guys fully realize your works ever since Platinude, it's a project that doesn't exist elsewhere on the vast internet and I want to continue to be able to work on it with nothing but passion behind it. I promise to be more active here myself and work my art to the best of my ability.


Beside that I pushed myself to finish the Rangers and the Beauty this morning, it's a bit sloppy I admit, I haven't drawn anything in like a month now so my pixel art definitely regressed a bit. I will try my best to get the Fossil Old man the Lass and the Artist done soon, and search for their overworld sprites and get those too.

Reminds me of the weird amount of pokemon with dicks and pussies and boobs Viewer kept in the motherload folders, eventually i had no use for them and just deleted them to make organizing the Nude Moemon stuff easier for my incompetent in organizing ass

It seems all of them are pretty much done, so I'll focus on the undone one

I'm kinda proud of what I did with Grandma's overworld sprite

honestly i see it going the way of palworld mods where its just putting titties n dicks on everything willy nilly(pun intended). like as much as i love what the community did for nsfw mods for pw it felt largely like just slappin huge genitalia on em that fit their headcanon and no other rhyme or reason. to each their own though i'm fine either way lol. i'm just glad the characters are nude at least

Middle aged woman could use more work on her south walking sprites around the legs, though.
