Wouldn't it just use base game textures? I'll try including the texture in the p3a to see if that changes anything but my issue is that the meshes just aren't being included in the mdl

Here's the steps I used

  Hide contents
  1. Extract chr5008 model from the base game
  2. Load the .vb and .ib files into Blender
  3. Move the model off to the side for easier comparison
  4. Load in the .vb and .ib files for Mare from lakovic's 3DM mod in the Kuro 2 thread
  5. Compared visually to see which meshes overlapped
  6. Deleted the files for the parts that overlapped (ended up being mesh body 0-4 plus 9-10) (meaning the .fmt, .vb, .ib, and .vgmap files)
  7. Copied in the Body and Dress files from lakovic's mod
  8. Reopened everything in the work folder into Blender to make sure it looked good
  9. Repacked into .mdl, then put that in the right folder hierarchy and repacked it into .p3a
  10. Put the p3a in the mods folder and tested in game with a hacking trial

 

The thing that confused me a bit, and probably what the problem is, is that the base game files have a .vgmap file while lakovic's files have a .vb0-7 plus a .ini

Not sure if I need to do anything with those?

I didn't mess with any of the .json files either

 

Edit: I re-extracted my .mdl I generated to see what was in there. Looks like it somehow regenerated the .fmt and .vgmap files for the meshes I deleted (though I don't know if that's important), and also didn't include the files I had copied from lakovic's mod

 

Edit 2: I tinkered around and found the export option in Blender would generate the .fmt .vb and .ib files for lakovic's body and dress models. Unfortunately the mdl import python script still didn't pick those new files up into the mdl file

 

I hope someone will correct me if I get something wrong.

 

1. You need the weight groups and bones to be the same in the donor and recipient models. In simple cases, use File > Import > “Apply 3DMigoto vertex group map to current object” on the 3dmigoto mod mesh, and select a vgmap for a recipient mesh that would have the same bones.

 

2. Don’t copy lakovic’s files directly into the recipient chr5008 folder. Instead, either

  • export lakovic’s mesh from Blender, overwriting files for an existing mesh or
  • copy the files for a recipient mesh and rename them, incrementing the number by 1 (for example, 1_mesh_body_11.fmt, 1_mesh_body_11.ib, 1_mesh_body_11.vb, and 1_mesh_body_11.vgmap) and then export lakovic’s mesh from Blender, overwriting the new iv and vb files

 

3. The mesh and material need to be listed in mesh_info.json and material_info.json. If you overwrote an existing mesh, the mesh should show up in-game without any changes to these files (although the textures will probably be wrong).

Hrmm, that. An be for a lot of reasons then. First I’d check if the import script gives errors or says it is skipping meshes. Then I’d check weights.

Thanks all. I'll take another look this weekend. Yeah I had tried renaming the meshes and they did get included in the mdl but the textures were indeed messed up. I was planning to try again using the guide for transferring weights but didn't have time last night.

Sounds like your main issue was solved! In the future, you can get more helpful output by running kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py from the Command Prompt (or PowerShell) with `python kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py` rather than by double-clicking the script.

Toned Bodies update

How to use:

 

NOTE: Turn off the cheat after purchasing. The game engine uses the same instruction to buy items and unequip items! (Actually you can use this cheat to get items by unequipping if you are not near a store but of course you will lose what you unequip.)

 

Do not ask me to add more things (like Sepith etc), I have no interest.  I only made this because I made an UnSkirt Mod and I want you to be able to have all the costumes to enjoy my mod!

I followed the instruction but still can't  checkmark the override box in my cheat engine (v7.5), any idea why it's not working ?

I got a little over-excited once I figured out the textures and went overboard making variants 😅

 

The pure nude version is just a straight port of lakovic's original nude mod for Mare (taken from this mod here)

For the variants, I took his partial nude body and combined it with the vanilla outfit where I went in and removed various parts.

[Removed the preview images, they're included in the download]

 

All credit goes to @lakovic for the body and huge thanks to amorrow and NotAZebra and everyone who wrote the various guides and scripts and such. 

All the variants are in the 7z file, only put one in your mods folder. It replaces her default outfit since that's the only one she has

all these updates and the game still crashes using arts with mods :((((

 

anyone else? i'm on 1.2.8, and packed lakovics elaine mod into a p3a without modification through renaming

 

EDIT:

so ive tried a few things and i think the mods have to be remade from scratch using the existing in-game daybreak 2 mdls and also you cant just swap mdls from other in-game mdls or it will crash when casting arts. In my frustration, I extracted and made a very simple edit of elaine's in-game c10 mesh and it never crashed over 10 battles using arts.

 

I have already tried replacing her c10 outfit with other in-game mdls through renaming or using other modders mdls and they all crash when casting arts after a couple of attempts.

 

i'm free to be corrected however!

Hi for some reason most of the mods posted here are not working for me.


EDIT: I think for somereason I can only use one mod at a time. Only one mod will how up in the DLC tab at a time. If I remove that mod a different one loads on the next boot. 

so I think the combined tables is not working....
 

I tried merging the tables as specified  here 


I think some of the mods are overwrting each other as for example none of the mods where working with UDW celebration (obviously I used the table for UDW when using it) was being loaded, but upon deleting it the kai costumes work.


Can mods override are break each other despite have merged tables?

Hmm it seems all the mods use unique IDs so not sure what could be the problem

EDIT: Nope just tried on windows laptop kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.py and the kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe make the exact same zzz_combined_tables.p3a

and both don't work

not sure then. All your files are from daybreak ii? And you’re using the latest version of make tables? And you have all the dlc unlock keys in your dlc folder?

 

EDIT: I just realized, are you playing in Japanese? script.p3a is for Japanese and script_en.p3a is for English.

I am playing in english.  edit: oh I think I just saw my mistake lol

EDIT2: yup I was using script.p3a instead of script_en.p3a that was my issue

I copied the mod and DLC folders from all the mods I am using and placed it in the same folder as kuro2.exe
which is looking something like this

I then gathered all the kurodlc.json from all said mods and placed them into a new folder alongside  the script.p3a from the same folder as the exe and the kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe  from https://github.com/eArmada8/kuro_dlc_tool/releases/download/v1.0.11/kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.exe

note here I also got kurodlc_make_zzz_tables.py and all its nesscicary libraries in this folder as I was also trying with the python script 


I tried repeating these steps on my windows machine to see if it was maybe something specific to linux and I still can't load more than 1 DLC mod at a time 

so for example with this current mod list only UDW_Celebration loads. If I delete that Kai_Costumes_for_TTDB2_1.02 loads and if I delete that the JudithSwimsuitTopless loads

its almost as if  the combined tables mod isn't working

Feri’s Towa disguise

Toned_Feri_Default_Towa.7z

Replaces Feri’s default clothes.

Includes Towa’s hair bones. Damn it. I forgot to transfer the physics for those bones.

I’ll include this in a DLC pack when I have more content, but I think amorrow deserves immediate Towa.

Not sure if it's me only, but 猫タビ's mods causes crashes. Yes I've only used the non dlc files, but that still crashes the game, specifically when you're on the last cut scene of a sub event, it immediately crashes before you can continue with the cutscenes. Experienced it in act I A, at the stalker sub event. I know it's that mod because not using it runs normally.

I havent gotten any crashes but im only using the DLC mods

 

so the judith swimsuit topless and the MainFemaleMods(agnes, feri, and rissete) P3A  along side the 4 DLC files (1 for judith and 3 for the MainFemaleMods)

Agnes topless swimsuit seems to work at the very least (haven't gotten any of the other characters yet)
