Trails through Daybreak II (NIS America, English Language release)

To those whp have played Trails Through Daybreak 2 & 3... Is it possible to skip over 2 and go straight to 3 if you already played one? I've played all the Trails game but found Daybreak 1 to be a bit of a slog and had burnout by the end and was just thankful it ended. I've hear 2 is more fillerish and that 3 is a return to form? With both the Remake and Trails through Daybreak 3 coming out in 2025... it's a lot to get through so could I skip over 2?

The new update added some new upscaling option called Intel XeSS 2, with DX11 support.  Not like it will do me any good, since the current version I'm running (1.2.8) is fine and can run the tables.

I just finished daybreak 2. Its actually a far darker story than daybreak 1 with many named characters dying. Plot wise, you finally complete all the 8 genesis, discover more on the backstory of renne (her final companion point gives her something she lost since trails in the sky II). swin, nadia and lapis story continuation, new members of ouroboros enforcers, twisty final boss. Mechanics wise, the 4SPGS ARE A SLOG. Them being unvoiced never helped. The main story tho is pretty intense, i dont wanna spoil that at the least. They also added that dungeon crawling mechanic same as reverie even comes with gacha rewards again containing skill stones (you can upgrade craft and s craft now and has passive additions upon completion).  I just skipped a lot of the grind using cheat engine to be honest so i can focus on main story including LGC alignment, orbment/sepith/gacha token duplication etc.  Overall id say its good if you skip most of the green 4spgs (unless you care for spriggan rank. i did tho)

Free Camera and Purchase Override tables updated for v1.2.10.  My other tables did not require updates to work with v1.2.10.

Good to know the other tables still work.  The kuro2.ct table from Fearless Cheat Engine Forums still works too.

I appreciate the detailed reply. I'll likely play through it with high speed mode and skipping all side quests possible as my game library is huge. I'm really excited for the remake and the nude mods that will come out for it (including Tita.... don't care what anyone says.)

I checked my 1.2.8 table against 1.2.10 and it seemed to work...  what's the issue?  I'll try to reproduce it.

User error. Strangely, I did not see the update before today. I cleared the LL site cache yesterday, so perhaps I was previously being served a cached version of the page. Or maybe I’m just unobservant.

I put together an archive of all my Daybreak II Toned Bodies mods and gave it a home separate from the Daybreak I mods.

• All Z1 Pit Girl costumes. For some, I include an option to remove the cross over the chest. For some of these, I filled in some gaps left behind and altered the texture mapping to remove the white and colored fabric. I am working on these improvements for the others.

• Shizuna’s swimsuit
• Towa
• Feri’s Towa disguise now has proper hair physics
• Agnes‘ outfit
• Agnes’ lightweight outfit

IIRC you can get the data for it in Marchen Garten at the final chapter.

 

...Or you can use the Purchase Override table to get the costume at any shop.

Annnd Force Pause Animation for the Daybreak II camera script doesn't work all of a sudden.  The game hasn't updated, either.

 

I had to build a new Cheat Engine because I accidentally threw my old one in the recycle bin.  With some other cheat tables in a folder. 

Was deleting some uneeded stuff and accidentally picked that one folder with it.  

 

So far the Reverie and Daybreak 1 camera scripts work; it's just this one that doesn't.

 

 

 

Edit: I rolled Daybreak II back to 1.2.8; Force Pause Animation works now.

 

Weird.  It was working fine in 1.2.10 before I built that new Cheat Engine...

While testing a P3A port for gggnog's Kai nude Z-1 Queen mod for this game, I came across this.

 

 

Feri's nipples and areola are gone.  Since the Z-1 Agnes and the Z-1 nude mods have the same dds image, I just picked one from one of the folders out of random.
