Devious Devices & DD Mods - UBE Patches [Skypatcher]

Note: As of version 2.0 this mod now uses Skypatcher to achieve the automatic patching solution that ADM solved for previously

 

Please take the time to read everything, especially the caveats and requirements, if you do something wrong you will have missing/invisible meshes. That said, if you have questions or there are opportunities to make the things clearer please speak up ❤️. Thanks, and enjoy you deviants.

 

The Caveats and Changes:

 

Slots (53->54)

  • Devious devices default slots overlap with UBE's, specifically with slot 53 which DD uses for leg cuffs and UBE uses for part of it's body mesh. These have been moved to slot 54.
  • Slot 53 items for 3BA have been updated to slot 54 as well, so NPC items are still visible.

Skypatcher

In order to reduce the amount of infinite patches this version uses Skypatcher there are zero conflicts!

  • Armor Addons are automatically handled
  • Slot 53 items are automatically updated to slot 54

 

Meshes

  • Belts + Crotch Rope + Transparent Zipsuit - have a ZAP or slider for those that are using schlongs
  • Some meshes have been refined

 

Included Patches 

Only mods that add new `Armor Addon` Records will require patches, this is generally devices with unique meshes or textures

 

  • Devious Lore
    • (NOT Compatible with the `Devious Devices - Lore Patch.esp` - Please remove this from your load order, it also breaks stuff with DDNG)

What is missing?

  • RopeBinder_Fingers and still needs work (if anyone is willing to help with this please reach out!)

Installation Notes:

  • Make sure you have ALL of the requirements, including Skypatcher
  • In Protondrive first download and install Devious Devices UBE - DDNG - Skypatcher
  • Then download and install the Devious Devices UBE - Patches - FOMOD
  • Make sure nothing is overwriting my esp's, following the load order as shown below
    • *Except for the Unforgiving Devices synthesis patcher

PG_1/Requiem for the indifferent/Synthesis/Dyndolod

Compatibility:

These mods are known to cause issues:

  1. Corsecs Non-Devious Devices - Has armors that use the same EDID as core devious devices, this may cause  some armors to be invisible. 
  2. Devious Devices - Lore Patch.esp - The main Lore mod is fine, but remove this esp from your load order, it breaks stuff with multiple mods

 

Troubleshooting:

Crotch is invisible

  • One of my esp's is very likely being overwritten by another mod, triple check your load order. Load your entire load order in Xedit and check for conflicts

You followed the direction and still have invisible meshes

First of all, thank you very much for this conversion, i really hope UBE takes over in the next few months, it's amazing.

I have the latest version downloaded from the UBE discord, is this different or updated?

I noticed an issue with the restrictive neck collar which doesn't follow the head rotation of the character while i remember that the 3ba version did.

  • UBE shall take over the world! 😁
  • There were some minor changes from the last update I made in discord, mainly minor cleanup like inclusion of a slider group file and cleaning of some sliders. both Discord and LL point to the same proton drive folder, the `LL Release` version is the most recent.
  • I can take a look at the bones for the restrictive collars, thanks for letting me know!

AFAIK no mods are actually utilizing the new devices and they are still somewhat wip? I may tackle these eventually...

 

no short term plans beyond patching and maintaining for UBE: DD, DDNG, and any mods that need patches that utilize (at least for the most part) meshes that come with DD+DDNG. 

 

I may do DCL if there is a demand for it, I did a couple of its meshes but lost interest since I don't use it myself.

Use the first link to join the server, then once joined you should be able to use the second to open the message. Worst case if you are still having trouble, in the `ube-content` channel search for "Armory Data Manipulator"

I am having trouble recreating this issue, Can you confirm if this was the leather, ebonite, or transparent restrictive collar, and are you building the static or HDT version in bodyslide?

ADM is not my mod,  I can't reupload it. Can you provide more details beyond just that "it does not let you join"? Are you getting an error?

I can't seem to get the Meridia's Beacon plug in the deviously vanilla conversion to show up. Guessing it might be related to Deviously Vanilla Re-Upload being slightly different? (The esp has a different name, but even after changing the masters for the patch to the new name it still doesn't show up)

Thanks! Just uploaded a fixed version of the deviously vanilla patch. issue was the mesh path on the ARMA, though I went ahead and added a new mesh for the butt plug that aligns a bit better with UBE. Let me know if it gives you any more issues but worked for me :)

thanks for the mods but could you please add another host other than proton drive? it keeps failing to download for me on large files

There seems to be a wrong master required set for deviously vanilla. The one that is is deviously vanilla is deviously vanilla - AIO.

I used the non-AIO esp for my patch which should better support more load orders. The Deviously Vanilla FOMOD includes a merged version of the esp for those that use both confabulations and solutions, mine is made for the non-merged version. Select "Deviously Vanilla" on the first FOMOD screen then solutions and confabulations as needed on the second.

 

in theory you can also just change the master in xedit or wrye bash if you really want to use the merged esp

Can you use this with a UBE PC and 3BA NPC's? I just tried installing it and all the requirements and the devices dont work on the body. I built the NG bodies for UBE -zeroed sliders-, but I left the DD 3ba devices the way they were, built for 3BA. I didn't want to mess up NPC's being able to use them but clearly I did something wrong.

Ahh ok Thanks. I didnt know it changed the esp so it makes sense why'd you do it the way you did.

Yes, this mod doesn't change anything with non UBE NPCs. if it is invisible on PC that generally would mean that either you didn't build bodyslides or you are missing ADM. I assume that by "don't work" you mean invisible, but if you mean something else please elaborate.

if you are using zeroed sliders you can build them all at the same time, they are totally different meshes and wont overwrite each other.

 

If you are using non-zeroed meshes, you can filter to just the UBE items using the group filter or just entering `DD - UBE` into the outfit search to only populate the UBE DD meshes

There is a conversion of that available on the UBE discord already done. babo's mods don't use DD though, I believe most of his mods utilize ZAZ, which there is also a conversion for.
