Outfit Studio/Bodyslide 2 CBBE Conversions

@NIND (jimmyyu) Hi, I wanted to ask you about oiled/glossy body, so i've been changing Glossiness and Specular strength in nifskope everytime after I build outfit in bodyslide which is kinda annoying, so I was thinking is it possible to change default value of Glossiness and Specular strength so i don't have to change it everytime? Thanks!

Do not edit specular or glossiness in the nif. You would then also have to edit the hand, feet and head nifs AND you would have to recreate all heads of all NPCs (CTRL + F4 in CK).

 

If you want to change specular, edit the specular maps. So the dds _s for head, body and hands. You can do this with Gimp, PaintDotNet or Paintshop. Make a backup of this 3 dds before. Gimp and PaintDotNet are for free, but you need plugins (also free) for dds files.

Ok so I have a question. You see , I recently downloaded an LE backport of saints and seducers creation.

 

Would it be alright if I maybe upload just the golden saint, dark seducer, amber and madness Armor here for a cbbe bodyslide conversion?

 

Or would that get me and the thread into some kind of trouble?

You would have to regenerate all of the heads of the npcs by editing the glossiness of the femalebody nif?  Why is that?

nope you're gucci, assuming one of us wants to convert it lol.  Please include and image or two so we can see what it looks like!

Why?

Because the head nifs of the NPC's ( Data\Meshes\actors\character\FaceGenData\FaceGeom) have the specular / glossiness values that are set in the femalehead.nif (Data\Meshes\actors\character\character assets) at the time when they are created.

 

If you only work on the body-nif you have a shiny body, only naked because you have to do it for ANY armor that has the body-mesh. But hands, feet and head are still as before.

That is why editing the nif (for this purpose) is the worst of all solutions.

 

See these mods if you don't want to edit nif or dds.

There is an issue with the Madness Armor Mesh that Causes instant CTD.. i hope someone can look into it... (opens perfectly well in nifskope).

 

I'll try uploading just the Armor, hands and boots meshes for all 4 armors and the esp. ( Cause the whole mod is pretty f*****g huge )

 

if you wish to download the whole thing then here it is (this is where i got it from)

 

Edit: sorry, looks like cant even upload the mesh and textures of those armors.. they come to some 130MB. I'll keep trying tho.

The link i posted previously does not contain the quest... it just has the armors and weapons (there's a lot of them and hence the massive size)

and as for the guy who converted it. I'm pretty sure its Captain Heimko . He's been doing a bunch of other ones too.

 

the reddit modpiracy had CC LE stuff too...until they took it down.

I am in agreement with you that its not very revealing. And I dont do heavy armor. I'll most likely pass on them.

Thats a HARD no from me, fam. 

 

Two Reasons:

 

1. He doesn't like modifications to his stuff and my rule is to expose and sluttify wherever possible (in addition to providing originals of course)
2. A recent interaction over another mod (see below) where I removed his textures from the mod at his request, but he still reported me to the admins and got the post pulled.

Note that the post is back, lol.

 

I'm sorry because this was most likely not the answer you were looking for, but your best bet may be learning how to convert.

 

If you do decide to embark upon that sacred path, feel free to pm or ask questions here......we would love to bring more into the fold.
