Darkening Demise Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Can't figure out what might be causing this. Tried unchecking little by little and what not....but no go. Nite_Star Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 have you got SKSE in there, I use NMM to run my game with mods installed..And I started having problems with smallertalk CTD on trying to start it up.. Also with mods that require SKSE yet ya trying to run it from the desktop shortcut m8. Edit:NVSE not SKSE
myuhinny Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/36901/? Fallout Mod Manager - FOMM download it and install the mods to it I wouldn't use NMM for fallout NV. If you have nvse installed you have to launch the game with the nvse_loader.exe and not the falloutnv.exe or those mods will not work and may cause CTD's. New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) http://nvse.silverlock.org/
zippy57 Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 have you got SKSE in thereConsidering this is for FNV I certainly hope not. As for your load order, why are you running FNV as a mod for the Caravan Pack DLC? Why is everything in alphabetical order instead of the order the instructions specifically tell you to use?
Darkening Demise Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 I launched via nvse and have FOMM
bjornk Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 Try loading all those mods into FNVEdit without changing the order and see if you'll get any errors.
ChancellorKremlin Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 We don't serve NMM's kind around here. Seriously, we ask users to use FOMM for a reason.
KainsChylde Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Why is there any response to this other than about it being in alphabetical order? I mean, seriously? Please tell me this is a prank. You know about NVSE but not load order? I...I need to go lay down. SMH.
ChianasGeek Posted December 24, 2013 Posted December 24, 2013 Thanks, hehe... would've figured it if I wasn't so tired right then!
Deadbrother Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 HI I have the inverted problem, NV crash when quiting the game.
KainsChylde Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 Crash on quit is a very common and incredibly easy to fix problem. Step 1: Search Nexus for "New Vegas Stutter Reducer" Step 2: Install per instructions on the page. Step 3: Run the game. Play or not, just load the game and exit. Step 4: Return to the folder where you installed NVSR and look for sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini. Step 5: In sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.ini, look for the line "bFastExit = 0" and change the "0" to "1". Save and close. Step 6: Profit.
