[Animation] NAF Surrender (Updated 05/28/26)

Are you running the latest version of the game?

The mod won't work on the latest game version because NAF doesn't work on it. NAF has to be updated first. (it's being worked on).

Sorry i can't help myself sometimes to give maybe too much details that probably make my posts confused and too long for sure lol.

Let's try to be more concise lol : my request is could you enable fast travel from surrender cell just like in seduce cell as it's working perfect there.
I remember you saying you didn't remember if you enabled fast travel from test cells, i presume it is on seduce cell but not on surrender one.

If you can do it on surrender it would be a welcome QOL thing.

I am the one who should apologize. I did miss that. 🙃

This is good idea and something I should have added. I will make sure it is in next update.

Is there any timeline on when we might see more animations, more bad endings, or creature support?

More animations and endings probably, but not soon. Maybe 2-3 months?

Both of these I am waiting to see if NAF will keep updating or if something else replaces it.

Creatures I do not know if will be possible. I can not make creature animation work in NAF. Plan now is to fake creature by having a tentacle animation using custom 'armor' on a human skeleton, but having trouble making custom 'armor' mesh show in game.

Next update I hope will be fake creature outcomes and some more devices (this will need re scripting of current system so that users are not breaking game by loading 10 different timer devices with 10 different timers). But to make this I also need to be able to make new armor meshes.

Hi I have a weird problem. Everything works, but when the animation happens, both the player character and the npc mouth gets kinda deformed and sucked inside the head. After the animation it stays that way forever. It is a creepy bug and only happens when a NAF scene happens either via surrender or the basic (pheromone) thingy. I also have Gergel Ebanex and with that mod when using NAF animations the bug does not happen.

Using SF skeleton and SFF female body Roberts S male body replacer. Could this be looked into please?

Gergel Ebanex adds :
"faceBone_C_MouthPivot",
    "faceBone_C_LipsTop",
    "faceBone_C_LipsBottom",
    "faceBone_L_Cheek",
    "faceBone_R_Cheek",
    "faceBone_C_Chin",
    "faceBone_C_UnderChin"
Nodes to humanRace j.son file. The difficulty is that NAF supports only race-specific skeletons and not mod-specific skeletons. You'll continue to have problems using Gergel Ebanex because it adds these bones for the blowjob animation and they aren't going to work with the regular skeleton which is being manipulated by this mod. Essentially, until NAF allows for mod-specific skeletons, you will have to pick between Gergel Ebanex and this mod.

Thanks for the info it is good to know.

Everything @wicketter said is right but if you manage to get the Ebanex humanRace j.son getting overwritted by NAF one or SnuSnufield mod one if needed (i use Mo2 so it's easy for me i just put Ebanex above Naf and Snu) you won't have the "npc mouth gets kinda deformed and sucked inside the head" anymore.

The "big" downside is you won't have anymore mouth opening on Ebanex blowjobs animations but as i said in linked post it can be enough evocative and at least way better than having deformed mouths when using this mod and/or Snu along with Ebanex.

Been a long time i didn't had Seduce mod installed but reinstalled it to be sure, don't have Surrender mod anymore atm (both are great mods huh!) but i presume it's the same story= they use NAF original .json file.

NAF mod author is currently working on Starfield support, i asked in Nexus comments if mod-specific skeletons was possible/easy to implement so let's wait&see

So as someone who isn't tech savvy, I've read the instructions but i am still confused. Is there some sort of tutorial? Or perhaps someone could help me with it? I am asking because i am a hands on and visual learner so reading it doesn't really help at all

I can maybe answer your question about how to install, but there is no youtube videos or anything. Hardest part of install is making sure you have all required things (because mod depends on other mods).

Questions so I can help you (kind of help depends on what step of process you are at)

Do you already have other mod installed/are you able to install the other mods manual way (where you copy folders into starfield data folder)?

Do you have NAF installed? (Right now, you must roll back to old game version because May updates breaks NAF)

It is on page 8 (sorry, thought I put in file description but did not because I thought was only a short problem. I did not think it would be end of 2025 and still have to rollback for animation system to work.)

You can follow directions here to rollback to version 1.14.74

https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/106?tab=posts

(Directions in top post)

Also, to stop starfield auto updates

(directions by user redbreasted have full directions).

I am sorry this take some technique. BGS updates are known problem, but modders cannot make BGS not push broken updates.

Animations from User Animation Pack should go in folder as it says in that download description (data/NAF/). This is only folder that NAF can look for animations in. You must copy/paste them, I do not think vortex or other bullshit fake installs will work with them.

Hello! Where can I find the configuration settings? I'd like to reduce the base chance to trigger surrender scenes from 30% to 5%.

You must follow directions to use console and coc aaSurrenderCell

There will be terminal that let you change options.

Hi!  Many thanks for this mod, it's one of the top reasons I dived into Starfield.  Bethesta owes you 50 bucks.

I downgraded my game install and got the mod working.  About half the time anyway.  When my health gets below the treshold, I get the popup, and then either it works and the animations start, or I crash to desktop.  About 50/50 chance of either.

The log seems to point to "resource deadlock would occur" when playing standsurrender01.glb.

I didn't see any other post with that error, is that common?

Did I install something wrong?  Mod conflict maybe?

Hahah. Yes, I will tell Todd he owe me a drink. 😁

Error sound like something that might happen if animation being called more than once at the same time. Like somehow there is more than one copy of main script running. Of if some other mod is applying second hit to your PC at the same time(?)

First question:

How you install mods? If mod installer, maybe check that there is not 2 copies of script or something weird (like one manual copy and one virtual mod installer copy?).

Probably will need to do troubleshooting:

I think release version has a function to stop the main quest (this would be in the debug terminal). You could try to do that. Then save, try combat and make sure surrender does not trigger. If not, can probably re install mod and try again.

(I would quit after stopping mod, then load the save just so game engine reloads. Maybe also save/quit/reload before reinstalling mod).

Or, you could uninstall mod (and delete the surrender mod scripts in data/scripts). Load game. Wait for maybe 3 or more days in game. Save. Quit. Reinstall mod. This has higher chance to actually stop all mod scripts, but if it does not, also has higher chance to make *another* duplicate mod script.

Other option is to download a clean no-mod save from nexus and try on that with your mods. If problem still happen, then it is probably conflict with another mod (and please tell me so I know :). If that fix things, probably somehow game engine decided to start duplicate copy of mod quest?

Sorry this has many option that might work. Tell me if any do?

That second solution seems to have fixed it!

Uninstalled through MO2, load game, wait 3 days in-game, save, quit, reinstall through MO2.

As you said, I must have had a second copy of the script running somehow.  I probably uninstalled and reinstalled the mod at some point without waiting in-between when I was figuring out how to downgrade the game and dependencies early on.

Thanks again mate, you deserve that drink!

Hello, is there a way to make the scenes shorter? Or a hotkey to auto-end the scene or fast forward to the end?  Right now the scene seems to go on for like 4 minutes...

Yes, if you read directions in mod readme or at mod description, there is cell you coc to (aaSurrenderCell) that has console that you can set number of stage repeatings. Each repeating is 20 seconds.

Yes. If you cannot coc to cell, mod is not installed. Please post your plugins list (showing what is enable) and your /data/ folder to show esp is in correct location.

Likely non of files from this mod are install (you need this mod and User Animation Pack).
