Is there a link for the one that doesn't crash with jiggle?

I've tried to install mods with guide by replacing the pak files etc. Everything was working fine, except every match I had to wait for a minute for all models and abilities to load. After reinstall everything works correctly. Did anyone else had this issue?

Followed like 2 or 3 different tutorials to try and use mods but to no avail.

I first tried to do it when manually deleted the required .pak files which I did using Fmodel. The Mod Launcher "worked" but all of the characters and sound were missing which you could see when you went to the "heroes" tab. After which it would consequently crash after a little while.
Then I did a clean install and let the game do the unpacking instead. This was also unsuccessful and the result was essentially identical all the characters and sound were missing

(logically so because that the .pak files we got rid off or renamed) Here's the error it gave:

Fatal error: [File:H:\workspace\S1_1_release\UnrealEngine\Engine\Source\Runtime\Renderer\Private\ShaderBaseClasses.cpp] [Line: 250] Failed to find parameter collection buffer with GUID '1E898B9744BB18A5538627B8735B15B0' for /Game/Marvel/VFX/Materials/Characters/1018/MasterMaterials/M_LightNexus_6_007.M_LightNexus_6_007. Anything obvious I'm missing or?

Update: Third time is the charm I guess, doing it 100% manually did work I guess something the Mod loader did was "not good"

When you did the unpacking of the files did you add back the backups it had created like the pakchunkWwise-Windows and pakchunkVFX-Windows ? Also would try re adding the character pak in as well and see if it runs.If it doesn't crash instead of deleting the character pak just rename the last bit to .bak for e.g pakchunkCharacter-Windows.pak.bak and see how that goes I had a similar issue.

What Scarlet Witch mod is that?

A UI elements mod that also changes some other sprays and nameplates.

Overall the Scarlet Witch elements are awesome.  We need a matching model for the calcium cannons though.

Bro, I haven't seen anyone post that the mod loader helped yet, just sounds like a hassle.

Manually doing it with Fmodel is super easy and works every time.

Well it'd be easier if it worked easily or correctly but I just don't think it does. Manually doing it does "work" but the hassle in that regard is created by swapping out mods and stuff like that. Whereas if the mod manager worked you could deactive and active a mod with 2 clicks. Now I would have to replace that particular character files with the original, and then replace add the new mod on top of those. Which sounds just as easy but that's definitely a bit more clicking. It also requires you to have the original files all on your pc well I guess at least the ones for the characters you want to mod or swap mods in and out for. Which again isn't "a big deal" but it's just "another step."  But yes you are right the modloader works weirdly and it seems like it overcomplicates things if anything. After doing it manually I think I understand better what it's supposed to do, so if I tried again maybe I could get it to work as intended but I might not try tbh. Especially considering I'm not even sure why it's so insistent on removing/changing the name of "pakchunkVFX-Windows.pak" and "pakchunkWwise-Windows.pak" especially since those can't be the ones you need for UI mods as I'm pretty sure that's : pakchunkLQ-Windows.pak, pakchunkHQ-Windows.pak, and pakchunkUI-Windows.pak.

But I anway, yeah might check later if I can get it to work now I get what I was doing wrong.

I think basically what I didn't understand yet, is that I had to make the backups and place the Wwise and VFX back in (I had actually used the .bak method btw) . It certainly wasn't quite clear from the mod manager page nor 2 of the videos I watched as neither of those videos did that. Only when I read another post on this thread/topic from Morrowind1030 (Despite the slightly broken English) did I realize you were supposed to do that. But at that point I figured I might as well just do it completely manually instead as that didn't require as much initial hassle. Though longterm, the modmanager could still be good, so I might try getting it to work now that I basically fully understand how it works. Just wonder if it will work for UI mods as that would require pakchunkLQ-Windows.pak, pakchunkHQ-Windows.pak, and pakchunkUI-Windows.pak (I think) which even if you do that manually I am not sure if the Modmanager can do anything with that.

But yeah I dunno I feel like it ironically kind of defeats the purpose of a modmanager a bit with how even now I'm not 100% sure on how it would work even though I am 100% sure on how I could get it to work manually.

if the game crashes at the end of a match, could any mod be the cause even if the character isn't on that end screen? or if the game crashes only the characters that are on the end screen could be the cause for it ?

You're correct, the only .pak files you need to remove for UI mods are LQ and HQ.   Character is the only one needed for models.   wWise is for sound mods.

I've never touched vfx.  That should be for the 3d effects like lasers, bullets, and lightning, etc. etc..

This is usually a mesh or physics based mod with the old methods that didn't delete the bone in attributes.

That said, I have gone 10-20 rounds stable and then will sometimes crash after match with the same teammates so I haven't been able to pin down the mods entirely.

The game is unoptimized on pc. Have a friend who crashes every 3-5 matches and he doesnt use mods.

About that picture : I didn't manage to find those two mods about Peni Parker and Mantis. Is somebody have any link to download them ?

PS : Is that peni mod compatible with the blue skin from the battle pass ? Unless this one :

blue.webp.c16f0f1e93044f415a64828a4d4b923d.webp

Curiously, this one works well during the end game screen, that's weird.

PS2 : Oh, and is there any list like a google doc or something that reunite all the nsfw mods ?

Anyway, thank you everybody :)

i did everything you did, but when i try enabling the mod, it says they system cannot find the path specified

Is the mod a compressed file? Please make sure the format in the zip file is correct. If it still cannot be enabled, unzip the file and overwrite it to the specified path.

Tell him to turn off Low Latency Mode in the settings if it isn't already.
