DeepBlueFrog Posted December 22, 2013 Posted December 22, 2013 The sexlab frostfall mod (warm bodies) fixes the liability mentioned above. It makes it worth revisiting. Edit: if needed I could add a resist frost effect to hormones for high levels of sexual activity.

Edit: if needed I could add a resist frost effect to hormones for high levels of sexual activity. That might be a good idea. It would make sense.. i mean maybe like a 5% or something not huge but helpful .. Warm bodies huh? I will have to look that up, Edit it would go well with the color changing thing you have already i think.. make the cheeks really blush red or something...

Thanks! I didn't see that it was "Frostfall - Hypothermia > Camping < Survival"... I will then have to replace my Ranger Camping one with that one as it is much more immersive! Oh, and Dynamic Things is sweet! I love Realistic Needs and Diseases, and Alternate Start (I usually go with the "I'm an Imperial Soldier" one, because I do not like how the Stormcloaks treat people.) Thank you so much! I'm getting Frostfall and a few others right now, backing up my saves and making "Angela Wolf" my main PC.. If you haven't seen her, I've posted a few pics... Oh, and I got Cloaks of Skyrim too... that will be so fun to try.. Merry Christmas everyone, and thank you all very much!
jbezorg Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I agree that Frostfall is great for immersion, but for me it was just a little too much immersion after awhile, and I ended up uninstalling it. I liked that it kept me from just diving into frigid waters and such like that, but when I started getting into Sexlab mods, some of which can cause your character to be stripped naked right out in the open, Frostfall became a real liability. Sure, it's immersive for my character to freeze when stripped in the bitter cold, but the bandit raping her doesn't seem to suffer from the same issue. I tend to have this same opinion about mods that make nights and caves super dark... they're only dark for me, so that really isn't any fun. It's worth trying for sure, and maybe you'll end up liking it! I know I did for awhile, but ultimately decided to get my immersion in other ways. Latest version has Lite, Classic & Hardcore presets and a lot of features that can be toggled on/off. Not sure if that's the one you tried. SexLab - Warmbodies kinda stalled. I have a simplistic version posted in thread and available here.

Edit: if needed I could add a resist frost effect to hormones for high levels of sexual activity. My PC got ganged by bandits, and by the time I was able to run away, I was near frozen... Luckily, I came to a hunter's camp and there was a campfire. But there was definitely "NOTIFICATION" of freezing to death... lol. Immersively, I don't think the PC should have been AS cold, having just been banged 3 times in a row. I play immersive, so all she had equipped was stripped and tossed to the ground... I'll have to go back and kill them, reclaim my gear. Where do I get this "Warmbodies" for frostfall? The links I have found only 'talk' about it. I could not find a download file that works.. I found this: http://www.loverslab.com/index.php?app=core&module=attach§ion=attach&attach_id=46380 but it refused to download several times, and when I did get something, it wouldn't unzip. I use winrar, if that matters.

Well, in the side of make darker the locations i can say that it makes more challenging to live, now i made a new char and because she is beggining from the bottom she haves to live outside the city, cant afford to pay for a rent because she is selling wha she gathers, cant face a sabrecat or a wolf pack so, not so much income is there, one night she was at tanning rack and heard a howl in the distance, suddenly the engage music began and i had to run without know what was there, shw was hitted a couple of times and have to ran to the city, almost die there, or whorse (if u know wha i mean ;D) my point is that i hear shit from the whiterun guards like they fear the night because vampires and werewolfs not XD now i do, is the feeling of play silent hill or somthing like that, now im thinking in prepare more night vision potions and rent a room in days not convenient because skyrim is to harsh yet for the motherhood XD
laz0r Posted December 23, 2013 Posted December 23, 2013 I think that Frostfall is a good thing to have in order to promote immersion in the game, if that's your thing. When combined with realistic needs and disease, it makes Skyrim into a much more "believable" experience. Then again, if you're just a casual type of player and just want to do basic things within the game then you might find it a little bit annoying at times. Most of the more "annoying" things can be turned off in the MCM configuration though, so I'd say definitely go for it.

dinomagick Posted December 23, 2013 Author Posted December 23, 2013 Try this it might solve some issues http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/514-sexlab-warmbodies-frostfall-plugin/ THANK YOU!!!! Works great. (downloaded and installed), now to go play test and I'll let you know. I'm off this week, so getting all the immersion I can... I just finished the Imperial war (for the first time) and am about to go after the Vampires... Edit: 12/23/13 I don't freeze after sex acts/rape outdoors. The indication bar doesn't move or warm up, but at least it doesn't drop me to zero during the acts and then give me 2.2 seconds to try and gather my clothes before freezing me... Now with SexLab Warmbodies, I have a lot better chance for survival.... (and I nice reason to use bedrolls out in the wild_)

Perhaps with more configuration and enough attention to your own statistics, but I'd say the issue isn't so much mod compatibility, but mechanical compatibility. Using Frostfall certainly does preclude you from using other mods, and in some cases, it even interferes with the base game. I found myself freezing to near death frequently inside the blackreach caverns, and that place has a complete lack of ice as well as an artificial sun. On top of that, the prodigious fungus implies it's a warm and damp environment. Blackreach aside, you can also freeze to death in cutscenes and conversations, even when dressed very warmly, I was using the cloaks mod and a full set of warm armor when I froze to death on top of the throat of the world. Had to do some guesswork to find the right places to plant campfires for the pre-altercation scene up there.

I don't spend much time in blackreach so I don't know about that but I do know there is an option meant specifically for that last problem of yours to turn off freezing mechanics in conversations. I also leave that option turned off and never had a problem except one time when I was rushing to get into high hrothgar a courier stops me... I was pissed I had taken to long fighting the troll on my way up and knew I was getting close to freezing. I made into the doors just on time for my character to fall over dead once it finished auto saving
kajn Posted December 26, 2013 Posted December 26, 2013 Yes of course.I set it up to easy difficulty mode to make it less intrusive and it didn't gave me any problem.I would suggest to run those ones behind it:Wet and Cold (its perfect companion) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/27563/? Camping Kit of the Northern Ranger (Because it have a much better camp to me) http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/10573/? to not count there is also a sexlab frostfall plugin now around here.
Ishayu Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Doing a minibump here. I've just tried to move SoS just above Frostfall in my load order. It worked. Exposure W.E.A.R works and SoS works.
gooser Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 So I have a couple of questions: 1. Frostfall or RND? If I had to choose between the two which would you pick? 2. Are Frostfall and RND both script-heavy?
bleagh Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 So I have a couple of questions: 1. Frostfall or RND? If I had to choose between the two which would you pick? 2. Are Frostfall and RND both script-heavy? I would ditch rnd. Go with eat and sleep by kuertee. It works with all food items, is highly customizable, and has a sweet hud feature. When you sit down it will also build a menu with food and drink options from your inventory. I cant play without frostfall and eat and sleep together. There both script heavy but all the really great immersion mods are. I refuse to choose just one. If your going to let cold exposure affect your character they might as well need to eat drink and sleep. Otherwise id just roleplay those features and not have any mods.

I use Frostfall and RND with no issues. They definitely add to immersion... especially if you use the Alternate Start: Live a Deviant Life mod. If you have to choose one, I guess it depends on what kind of immersion you want. If you want to have to becareful of the weather and wear cloaks and clothes all the time, then Frostfall is probably the one you want. It definitely makes the game harder and more of a game of survival against the elements. RND is immersive but slightly less likely to cause your death if you are ill-prepared as food is generally very easily available around the world. Unless you are wearing one of the Devious Device gags that prevent eating until you get them off
gooser Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I guess I'm more interested in being required to sleep and eat. I've read that FF can cause some inconvenient classes with SL - particularly the way it can locate animations sometimes partly in water (based on a comment from Ashra) . I use Dangerous Nights, but I never really sleep because I'm not forced to. I don't eat because I'm not forced too. The weather stuff may be a bit too extreme. And I'm also worried about adding more script pressure to the Papyrus engine.
sapho888 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 I guess for me FF, builds more immersion. For FF, you worry about whether you have enough firewood or a tent because if you don't, you can and probably will die in some of the colder climates. While RND is nice for forcing you to eat, drink, and sleep, the consequences are much slower to be felt and it is much easier to fulfill the needs. If there wasn't bread lying around every 10 feet or so in game, it would probably be a bit more immersive for me.
nutluck Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 The only problem I have had with FF is with Submit really. The reason being is when you are captured you are left tied up naked and if you are in a cold area you can die before you get untied. Especially if you want to use hardcore escape where you have to run naked till you get someone to untie you. Other than that I had no real issues with it.
Pinute Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 So I have a couple of questions: 1. Frostfall or RND? If I had to choose between the two which would you pick? 2. Are Frostfall and RND both script-heavy? I run both, along with quite a few other script heavy mods. Best suggestion I have is to install convenient horses. A good mod in its own right, but the reason I suggest it as a testing tool is it has a script latency test you can turn on in the mcm menu. Turn on the latency check and go play for a while with all your scripted mods running. You'll see regular messages telling you just how much script lag you have. When I'm running at 50-55ms average or lower everything seems to work well. Aroused is the killer. If I had to choose I'd go with rnd. I can always mentally role-play that skyrimites don't consider cold-resistant enchants to clothing 'magic'. I mean, how else can they walk around in blizzards dressed in thin wool dresses!
Sweatington Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I use frostfall with sexlab framework, romance and sexlab warmobodies frostfall plugin works like a charm! Also, Waaaay better alternative to RnD is ZF Primary Needs since it apperantly don't use script I heard, and it does a lot of what RnD does better imo, particulary animations.
gooser Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Hey thanks for the Zf Primary Needs suggestion. I will give it a try. Looks pretty good!!! +1
Annelise Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I had the same questions and this thread answered them all. Working on installing FF and other immersion mods right now. My interest in FF was first general immersion, but also making my starting PC more dependent on NPCs, too. She's just a petite, little thing. And being short and curvy in the right places means she's not so good at chopping wood. How is she supposed to travel around in the winter, hunting and killing her own food? At least until she has mastered magic or dual-wield ninja-murdering, maybe. The truth is, people often grouped up to make it safely from one place to another, each member of the group providing expertise in what they were best at, such as scouting, path-finding, hunting, defense, gathering, cooking, or back-massages. That led me to wonder if there is a mod like this: A traveler NPC (many throughout the game, or somehow generated) is FF aware, and moves from towns to cold destinations, and back, hunting, chopping wood, camping out, etc. Obviously, my PC would wish to follow this traveler to our mutual destination, perhaps help him or her with whatever needs that he or she might have... at least if my PC wants to sleep in his tent, eat his food, and not freeze to death or get gang-banged by a group of trolls. I'm not saying she would be happy and willing about it, but it's not like she would have a choice once a blizzard hits. The more my PC can provide for herself and the companion on the trip, the less likely she would have to submit and put-out to stay alive, though it is always an option to satisfy the FF heat requirements, or some of the needs mods. Perhaps, the less modest she is, the more likely demands would be made. The stronger she is relative to the NPC, the more likely she can make the trip unmolested, if that is her wish, and she doesn't want to get a swollen belly again. At least it wouldn't be a half-orc-bandit baby this time around.
