i also remember seeing this successfully done somewhere, but i can't remember if it was in billyys, FlufyFox, or NCK30's support thread that someone was doing it.

I only know that Maxie, the author of SAM, converted some pose mods of skyrim for FO4, but it should not be done with just one tool, and this includes any ad hoc scripts/tools created.
If you really want some specific explanation, you can join SAM's discord channel, which should be available through the SAM page on nexus.

It was not in my thread. But I would like to see Fallout 4 get better.

So You have my blessing to port. But please contact me first.

I still have Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4 that I need to play at some point. Just waiting to be installed in Steam.

If only the bodies were as good as Skyrim then. From what I have seen there is little boob bounce.

What about HDT vagina. Does it even exist in Fallout 4?

These things could compel me to animate for Fallout too.

FO4 has OCBP physics.
But no HDT, and certainly no SMP, so the opening and closing of female vaginas in FO4's adult animations are part of the animations that the animators handcrafted.

Okay. I would not be opposed to do these.

For me it would look perfect. For others that use different bodies/dicks not so much.

Only the sheer differences in size will make this a nightmare. I assume You have some kind of Bodyslide alternative.

Best choice for me would be to use a pretty big dick on my male. Then at least all that use smaller sizes will benefit from this.

But first. Let's see if anybody can port the animations.

There is a bippy script for 3ds. The script allows for motion capture and, accordingly, retargeting. Thus, Mixamo animations, for example, were transferred to fo4. The problem is that for sex animations this is still a huge amount of fuss. All animations must first be exported to fbx, then rewritten in real time, then manually finishing a bunch of bones, filling out annotations... In general, I think it’s easier to make new animations.Obviously, it is impossible to batch convert sex animations. Different mechanics in these games.

well fuck, i can't find it at all now. but i do recall this was being used in part of the process:

https://github.com/Backporter/SSE-Fallout-4-Animation-Converter

there was another step that involved converting the nodes to make them work but i have no clue what the hell was used.

I remembered that Bad Dog was also working on some tool related to animation.

I use "hkxcmd" to convert xml files from 3DSMax to hkx in Skyrim. But another program named "hktcnv" is also needed.

I open a "CMD" prompt in my animation folder. Write the following commands.

"hktcnv.exe FurnitureFemale1.xml NCK30_MountMILF_A1_S1.hkx"

"hktcnv.exe FurnitureMale1.xml NCK30_MountMILF_A2_S1.hkx"

A female and male hkx file is converted and can be used with Skyrim after running FNIS/Nemesis.

I started this thread because Fallout 4 desperately needs more good animations and Skyrim already has them. Unfortunately, it seems like all attempts at paired animations are failing and there is no suitable tool yet. It will probably take more time, or convincing some animators to try to create some animations for Fallout 4 as well.

I'm very happy that RohZima has started creating animations for Fallout 4 and I hope more animators join in future.

I sympathize. Would be another great settng for sex animations.

I will wait and bit and see how this plays out. I don't even know what tools are involved in Fallout 4.

The game is 4 years newer than Skyrim. Something else must be needed to make them.

Did Leito make animations here too? - He was one of the pioneers in Skyrim animation. Rohzima is also a known name in Skyrim circles.

I have no experience with creating animations, but I think the most widely used is 3ds max 2015.

I found an older thread with some information, I hope it's still up to date.

I think, if you decide to create an animation for Fallout 4, there are sure to be plenty of people here who will be happy to advise you.

Yes, Leito created some of the first animations here.

It's best to use 3ds 2013-2014 + hct2014 (I have it if anyone needs it) + bgs_nif_exporter (comes with ck) + nifTools (in the f4ak package on the nexus) + rigs for 3ds 2013-2014 (I have it). This will give you the complete fo4 developer package. With this, the creation of all game resources is possible. For example, you can do not only havok animations, but also bryo-havok scenes... Scenes with furniture, any animated objects.

I would imagine the process of making the animations is very similar to Skyrim.

I know niftools and Havok Content tools from Skyrim.

But it also means that I have to find yet another version of 3DSMax somewhere. I have 3DSMax 2012 for Skyrim.

To do furniture in Skyrim You only have to add the nif to an esp file. Then use SLAL to call the nif from the esp.

Of course then there are invisible furniture sets where You use an existing furniture in the game and start the animation from there.

There we have the advantage of Sexlab which asks for bed use. Then I have a reliable coordinate to animate from.

For now I will be skimming the forums to see, what I am dealing with.

I just want to ask, did you manage to find the information you needed?

For now I am invested in my awesome new Skyrim SE build.

Then in February Kingdom Come 2 comes out.

I got to be honest and say that Fallout 4 is not first on my list at the moment.

If I do get started I will let You know.
