A good hobby is one that's very different from your day job, and mod making has always been uncomfortably close to mine. (Probably why I seem to enjoy it more when I'm making tats or furniture, but I digress). And the whole thing is hard enough work without having to fight against Bethesda hiding documentation and dropping caltrops in your path so their revenue-generating modders can look better by comparison. I won't rule out a return if I find myself suddenly Inspired (or with a lot of unexpected free time on my hands) but as of right now - I'm done. 4 hours ago, Blehbreh said: I think it's best to be prepared for Bethesda to close its doors within the next couple of years permanently. Well, they#re not going anywhere before TES6 drops, and unless that game is a disaster on the scale of Concord, we'll probably see Fallout 5 following. After that ... we'll see how long it takes Microsoft to leech the remaining individuality and creativity from the company.

I doubt this will happen. Alongside funding from Microsoft and active Game Pass users that are paying much more into having access to this and other games than those of us who have bought the full product, they have a few mobile games and two MMOs keeping them alive right now to easily make up for any sales lost from Starfield, and that's on top of the fact that people are buying paid Creation Club content for Skyrim, Fallout 4 and Starfield as well. 3

We got lipsynch? (Link to tutorial?) That would be very good. Almost as good as having a working way to add new Wwise sound events into CK.

Djlegends Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 WWISE is more versatile than the way it was before when implementing Audio for Skyrim/FO4
Gray User Posted November 20, 2024 Posted November 20, 2024 2 minutes ago, Djlegends said: WWISE is more versatile than the way it was before when implementing Audio for Skyrim/FO4 Versatile I believe. There are many interesting things inside Wwise, but if I cannot get the CK to see new wwise events, they are not useful. I would be very thankful for a tutorial on this. The CK documents, Audiokinect tutorials and Youtube videos about replacing existing sounds (gunshots) or adding voiced dialogue are not getting what I need to add new effect sounds. 1

yewm0n Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 The game just needs to release LooksMenu bro and the mods will start rolling in, nobody wants to play a chunky face lookin ass female in the game bro real talk, btw this is my char on FO4 that I really want in Starfield but yeah, the game's hype is already gone the game has gone to shit

In other news, has anyone noticed there's a new update for the game? Comes with some bug fixes, and they're linking it with a couple of free Creations; a new vehicle and a quest mod. The lack of excitement has been palpable. 1

It requires a restrictive license, especially it you plan to create a bigger project. The Papyrus integration comes with zero documentation. The audio error messages in Paprus log showing no details beside than "error occurred". WWise middleware provides a complex layering of audio effects, channels and filters but why shouldn't I adapt and filter the source files with powerful tools like Audacity? I created hundreds of audio effects for Skyrim - it was way more straight forward than what CK offers now. And unlike the Wwise integration, it simply worked Edited November 22, 2024 by zaira

But a good companion that has some life instead of the robotic game ones would be a great addition to the game. Good luck with your modding!
azvampyre Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 Bethesda released the latest CK update to allow anyone to flag their mods as achievement friendly, but as we soon found out, you must be a Microsoft employee, employee of Bethesda, or have a portfolio with a well established publisher such as Arkane. Bethesda never wanted third party mods for Starfield, so they disabled the creationkit.com website just before releasing the CK and offered no SDK/GDK or backend information on the game, making it is nearly impossible to create a good mod so 90% of the mods released are console commands and a few texture mods.

MF I just released a NG+ framework that allows you to have infinite huge universes with no need of the wiki lmfao Edited December 7, 2024 by Djlegends
Djlegends Posted December 7, 2024 Posted December 7, 2024 plus literally this exists https://ck.uesp.net/wiki/Landing_page and the whole purpose for achievements flag was for paid content nobody and I mean nobody have asked bethesda to make that flag work for free mods since it was never created for that purpose

Originally only Bethesda Creations were applicable but last update enabled it for verified creations since Bethesda gets money from them. Xbox users seem to want achievement friendly more than Linux users. 1
