I play with Dangerous Nights, I'm pretty sure others do as well, and it can conflict a little with this mod sometimes. I've not had it do anything terrible, but I would guess the potential is there. Is there a way to make this mod aware of DN's events and not trigger if the character is awoken by DN instead of regular sleep? I'm not a modder by any stretch of the imagination, so I don't know the complexity of what I ask, I'll apologize in advance if this is one of those "That's a stupid suggestion" suggestions.

It would be nice if goonerbomzh could do that. But no need to put on pressure. Like I said in an earlier post, just set your FD delay timer to at least 3 seconds. Your night attackers will spawn before you enter the dream and they will still be there when you get back. Worst case, they don't do anything and you can just kill them to get rid of them.

I checked DN's script, there is no easy way to do it I can think of. One thing I can try to do is abort FD's teleport if the player is during combat or sex. But, if there is a big script delay, it might require putting FD delay timer to 7 seconds or something like that, which would be annoying. Alternatively, the way to go would be to patch DN's script directly so it will have some global variable that FD can read and know when to abort. Anyways, it is good that you write this request. Always just remove the older version from the mod manager menu and install the latest file (in the future this might change, but hopefully not). No other action is required. As a general rule of thumb - if the file size of the 'hotfix' is much smaller than the main mod, assume it goes on top of the mod. If the file size is similar, it's probably a replacement. 1

I assume this isn't intended. It's a little hilarious since it's always somewhere completely inappropriate, like the middle of the whiterun market.

It might be that appropriate lighting is also needed. (I was thinking about maybe adding a blur + a purple tint to the lighting. This might still end up not looking good because each dream has a completely different scenery) About whirlwind, I think it is possible to play a video on screen because the vanilla helgen starting scene has one. I'm not sure what would be a good video for this (and whether we need to account for different black screen times). I assume it's just something particular to my mod list and mod settings since no one else has mentioned it. I'll do some poking around and if I can narrow down the cause I'll let you know. Fwiw, it's happened on new game start, after configuring all mods and MCMs.

Khajiit no longer disappear, but they stopped wandering - Risad is sitting at Whiterun, Madran at Solitude. A small bug with the main quest. Hardvar comes to Riverwood and... that's it. He doesn't go to Alvor's house, so they hang around on the road.

I just went through the entire vanilla helgen sequence (with alternate start, using a new character). For me, Alvor and Hadvar went inside to discuss the dragon. GranthookTheBarbarian Posted October 31, 2024 Posted October 31, 2024 I'm fairly new to modding, but despite doing everything i can think of, whenever i get a dream that has a creature, it always says "Failed to start animations", and on dreams with what id assume is multiple creatures (such as the Iron maden dream) it says "Failed to start animations (Variation=1)" and crashes the game.
