Gudulba Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 I am currently playing Thief. So far the voice pack is working fine. However I have found a few instances where the NPC dialogue is not voiced:  - all lines spoken by the NPC "Vilgen" (example: "Ah, one of the ones who thinks she can rope me into marriage with her magic cunt..." - all lines spoken by the NPC "Traka", a riekling (example: "Girl want know Traka story? Is long story. Traka tell if girl listen." - all lines spoken by the NPC "Tulvar" (I have forgotten to remember an example...)  Is it somehow possible to find out why they are not voiced? I have made a few tests with xVASynth. Maybe I could help with do the voices for them, provided we can find out how.
poporaltemporal Posted September 9, 2024 Posted September 9, 2024 I would request updated voice pack for Bimbos of Skyrim. For several reasons: - Existing voice pack is weird mix of different voices with skyrim vanilla voices mixed. Some of the voices are pretty good though. - BoS lines and quests have been updated quite much why the pack is quite out of date. Its really nice mod with tons of content and not sure how some of the old voices have been done since some of it is really good. Most of the lines are though quite cold and without emotion.

Tulvar and Vilgen have a custom voice type added by the mod (bd_Silent_VT). This would need to be changed to some other voice type so that their lines can be voiced. Not sure what the implications of changing the voice type from this mod to something else are (if any). Voicelines weren't generated for this npc because I didn't expect to generate riekling lines. There is a model for the riekling voice so the missing lines should be straightforward to generate.   15 hours ago, poporaltemporal said: I would request updated voice pack for Bimbos of Skyrim. This has been requested a few times now, I guess I should consider doing this. Ultimately I've been hesitant to do this as I think the previous voicepack had quite a few lines voiced by elevenlabs which should be generating voices superior to xVASynth. However, a small benefit of recreating the voicepack with xVASynth is that all of the voicing will be consistent. I assume that the voicing that is really good is probably the output of elevenlabs. I will add making this voicepack to the queue. I'm pretty busy at the moment so haven't been able to work on voicepacks for a couple weeks now. I should have some time to start looking into voicepacks again at the end of the month. @Gudulba I would appreciate if you are able to help out. Generating the riekling voice lines should be straightforward. Perhaps it would be worth asking the mod author what the reason behind having the bd_Silent_VT voice type is? Or just change it to something else like MaleCommoner (or something else appropriate) and see if anything breaks? Otherwise I can look into this when I have some time. 1

I have now tried to set their voice entries to a vanilla male voice, but they stay silent. I have asked in the Thief forum about this, see link below.  The mod is also interesting in as it has an "invisible" NPC (in DogmaEngine.esm -> dft_speaker -> VTCK - Voice: dft_dummyvoice), which voices the PC in cutscenes. With the old Thief 1.0 voice pack and me playing Thief version 1.7, the PC's lines were indeed partially voiced in cutscenes (the non-voiced ones were maybe because of added lines in-between versions).  With the new 1.7 voice pack, the PC always stays silent. I have also asked about this in the Thief forum to find out more. Setting the dft_speaker voice to a vanilla female voice unfortunately did not help.  I noticed these entries regarding the dummyvoice in the old 1.0 voice pack:  I will also have a look at the riekling voice in the meantime 🙂   1

Do you know which voice was used for the player in the previous voicepack? Here's what I have found out in the meantime: Â - Player voice: I was able to make it work by adding an additional folder named "dft_dummyvoice" and copy all the files from another female voice folder into it. Maybe FemaleEvenToned or FemaleYoungEager would be suitable. The 1.0 voice pack had FemaleEvenToned in it I think. As I use the Ciri DBVO voice, I generated a xVASynth voice pack with the Cirilla voice from the Nexus Witcher xVASynth voice repository to use as dft_dummyvoice. Of course it is nowhere near the ElevenLabs quality, but for me it's ok. Do you think we could add it as an additional voice pack (Ciri player voice for Thief), overwriting the dft_dummyvoice in the to be created new Thief main voice pack? Â - Tulvar and Vilgen with voice type bd_Silent_VT: I set them to MaleCommander in SSEEdit. These files are definitely in the voice pack. Still, they stay silent. I haven't found out why. Maybe we also have to add an additional folder named "bd_Silent_VT"? Â - Riekling Traka: his voice is already set to DLC2RieklingVoice in the mod. I created a voice pack using the attached scriptxVASynth Dialogue Export - Riekling voice only.rar: https://we.tl/t-C9tHKOYxwU. However he also still stays silent. I haven't found out why, either... Â By the way: when creating the voice files, I get about 0.73 lines per second with GPU enabled (RXT 3080). Using 44100 Hz and NOT using SR (because this option halves my performance). Which xVASynth settings do you use and what speed do you get? With 0.73 lines, it takes forever... Â Edited September 12, 2024 by Gudulba

I also don't delete lip and wav files. Batch size is set to 20. With these settings I range between 2.1-2.9 lines per second, where 2.1 is processing lines that are full or compound sentences, and 2.9 are brief sentences that are a couple words. I hit ram limits long before any other hardware limit, I think with 4 processes I get up to ~55GB ram committed. Edit: I forgot to mention that I don't use SR. I found that it doesn't make a huge difference on most voices. Its somewhat noticeable on some voices like MaleArgonian but I don't use it as it can be very slow. Ok, so here's my summary so far: Â -> Ciri player voice: seems to work fine so far. Sound quality is sometimes good, sometimes not that good. Maybe add a note on the description page to load it below the main voices files in MO2. -> https://we.tl/t-ZU9VE0fsbC Â -> Vanilla player voice: to make it work, vanilla female voice files (maybe EvenToned or YoungEager) have to be copied into a folder named "dft_dummyvoice". Maybe you have to reupload the main voice pack files with this folder? Â -> Traka, the riekling, has the vanilla DLC2Riekling voice type assigned. I generated his lines, but most of the time, he nonetheless stays silent even with a generated riekling voice. To make things more complicated, sometimes (mostly during cutscenes), his voice is working...! No idea why. As it is only a minor character with little dialogue, I am not sure whether it is worth it to add his lines to the voice pack. Important note: about 90 other NPCs seem to use this voice type. According to their description in SSEEdit, most of them are males and a few females, but it is not clear whether they have dialogue or not. Maybe add a note on the description page that it is kind of experimental. -> https://we.tl/t-HB4lJK9Hm3

HiddenHari Posted September 26, 2024 Posted September 26, 2024 (edited) Hi 51! Thank you for making and sharing these voicepacks! I have been using and enjoying a few of them, and they really make the gameplay much more engaging!  Edit: just checked the thread and saw you have added Valerica already recently. I will try it out~ Thanks again!  I am wondering if you will consider making a Submissive Lola voice add-on for Valerica. I don't know if the voice quality will be as good since unique actors might not have as many lines for AI training? I just imagine she will make an execellent mistress, and if traveling with Serana and Valerica, having Valerica as the mistress seems more appropriate😅.  Again thank you for making these voice packs! Your work is bringing unmeasurable joy to me and many others! Divines blessings on you! Edited September 26, 2024 by HiddenHari 1

leking Posted October 8, 2024 Posted October 8, 2024 Request:  We are lacking a voice pack for animal mansion plus the previous avilable pack seems to be dead right now
51offthescale Posted October 24, 2024 Author Posted October 24, 2024 I've been absent for quite a while now, been very busy with IRL stuff. Annoyingly my GPU has died and its out of warranty so can't get it RMA'd. I'm not really in a position to buy another 3090/4090/whatever so I won't be making any more voicepacks for now. While I haven't tried it I doubt my ancient rx 470 will cut it for generating voice lines. I'm very sorry to anyone who was waiting on packs in the list of upcoming work.
