I have lost the original scripts. Does anyone know how to unzip issuesofspacefarer - Main.ba2 back? Or even better, just send it to me.

I might need to buy Starfield specifically to play this.

Me too.  It is good to see that this mod author has continued their work in Starfield.  I have very much enjoyed Problems of Herione for Skyrim and Problems of Survivor for Fallout 4.

Are you working on a NAF version?

I'm a bit busy right now. Plus the Creation Kit is taking an indecently long time to load. I'd rather follow the beaten path with tutorials and other mods.

I asked Grok 3 to brainstorm ideas for BDSM mod with humiliation thematic (I'll say right away that I won't be doing settlement mechanics (although in principle I can try to ask for clear instructions from the AI...)):

Core Concept
The player character (PC), a bold Constellation explorer or freelancer, starts as a rising star in the Settled Systems, only to face constant undermining by NPCs, factions, or even their own crew. The mod explores dominance through control of resources (credits, ships, tech), verbal power plays, and societal hierarchies in a futuristic frontier. Humiliation comes from being outsmarted, indebted, or publicly shamed across planets, flipping the power fantasy of a spacefaring hero.

Outline for Mod Development
Theme and Tone
Deconstruction of the space adventurer: The PC’s skills and reputation are challenged by cunning rivals, insolent crewmates, or bureaucratic overlords.
Power dynamics: Factions like the Crimson Fleet or United Colonies exploit the PC’s ambitions, while crewmates test their authority.
Sci-fi edge: High-tech sabotage, interstellar rumors, and alien influence heighten the stakes.
Core Mechanics
Reputation Flux: A new "Standing" stat tracks the PC’s clout with factions and colonies—low standing means higher docking fees, hostile NPCs, or crew defiance.
Resource Leverage: NPCs demand credits, ship parts, or outpost labor as "tribute,” tying into Starfield’s crafting and ship-building systems.
Unique Gameplay: Hacking (slicing terminals for blackmail), stealth (sneaking through orbitals), or ship chases (dogfights with saboteurs).
Setting
New locations: A shady asteroid casino, a corporate-run orbital station, or a lawless fringe planet.
Factions like Ryujin Industries, Freestar Collective, or alien entities (e.g., Va’ruun zealots) play manipulative roles.
Quest Structure
Multi-stage quests with branching outcomes: Submit to demands (lose autonomy), resist (risk escalation), or subvert (outwit the dominator).
Tie-ins to Starfield systems: Use ship combat to escape pursuers, outposts to pay tribute, or persuasion to flip power dynamics.
Brainstormed Quest and Story Ideas
Idea 1: The Insolent First Mate

Premise: The PC hires a sharp-tongued crewmate, Kael, who quickly oversteps—mocking the PC’s piloting, demanding a bigger cut of mission profits, and overriding ship controls mid-flight.
Quest: "Who’s the Captain?"
Gameplay: Monitor Kael’s actions (hacking ship logs), sabotage their personal gear (crafting), or confront them in a tense dialogue standoff (persuasion/intimidation).
Twist: Kael’s secretly feeding intel to the Crimson Fleet. The PC can pay them off (submission), expose them to the crew (regain control), or maroon them on a hostile planet (dominance).
Deconstruction: The PC’s command of their own ship is questioned by a subordinate.
Idea 2: The Galactic Doppelgänger
Premise: A con artist uploads a digital clone of the PC’s identity to the galactic net, racking up debts, signing shady contracts, and tarnishing their name across systems. Colonies start locking the PC out of ports.
Quest: "Echoes of the Signal"
Gameplay: Track the clone’s trail (hacking comms buoys), interrogate spacers (speech checks), and chase them in a ship-to-ship dogfight (space combat).
Twist: The clone’s an AI construct hired by Ryujin Industries to ruin the PC’s freelance career. Options include deleting it (restoring rep), bargaining with it (splitting profits), or letting it run (sharing infamy).
Deconstruction: The PC’s interstellar legend is hijacked by a ghost in the machine.
Idea 3: The Mind-Linked Artifact
Premise: The PC finds an alien artifact that links them to the psyches of its past owners, now scattered across planets. To sever the link, they must enter these minds—some shaped by dominance and submission fantasies.
Quest: "Voices of the Void"
Gameplay: Mind-diving via the artifact—navigate virtual worlds (e.g., a starship where the PC is a servant, or a colony where they’re mocked by holograms), solving puzzles or fighting psychic echoes.
Twist: One mind belongs to a Va’ruun priest who revels in controlling others and resists being freed, forcing a moral choice: liberate or trap them.
Deconstruction: The PC’s explorer status is mocked by the very relics they seek.
Idea 4: The Corporate Overseer
Premise: A Ryujin exec, Ms. Vora, “hires” the PC as a contractor but treats them like a lackey—demanding they build outposts for free, deliver rare tech, or grovel in holo-meetings.
Quest: "Indentured Orbit"
Gameplay: Use the outpost system to meet her demands (e.g., a mining rig), sneak into her orbital HQ (stealth), or rally other contractors to rebel (charisma).
Twist: Vora’s testing the PC’s loyalty for a promotion—submission earns a cushy job but chains them to Ryujin; defiance risks a corporate bounty on their head.
Deconstruction: The PC’s freedom as a spacer is shackled by corporate power.
Idea 5: The Pirate Blackmailer
Premise: A Crimson Fleet captain records the PC in a compromising situation (e.g., losing a bar fight or botching a heist) and threatens to broadcast it galaxy-wide unless they run errands—smuggling contraband, raiding rivals, or kneeling on camera.
Quest: "Holotape of Shame"
Gameplay: Steal the recording (lockpicking/stealth), sabotage the pirate’s ship (crafting explosives), or bluff them in a standoff (speech).
Twist: The captain’s a former ally who feels betrayed by the PC’s rise. Submitting keeps the peace; exposing them flips the humiliation back.
Deconstruction: The PC’s reputation as a tough spacer is weaponized against them.
Idea 6: The Alien Diplomat
Premise: The PC is assigned to escort a quirky alien envoy (e.g., a Va’ruun defector) who doesn’t grasp human norms—trading the PC’s ship for scrap, insulting faction leaders, or wandering into restricted zones.
Quest: "Guide to the Stars"
Gameplay: Protect the envoy in combat (grav-jump ambushes), barter to undo their chaos (trading), or hack their translator to curb their antics (science skill).
Twist: The envoy’s chaos is deliberate—they’re studying human submission. The PC can play along (become their “pet”), outsmart them (gain their respect), or ditch them (risk diplomatic fallout).
Deconstruction: The PC’s role as a galactic hero is undermined by an oblivious outsider.
Additional Gameplay Twists
Standing Meter: Low standing raises ship repair costs, triggers faction hostility, or makes crewmates more defiant—restored via quests or bribes.
Public Shaming Events: Random transmissions mock the PC over ship comms, requiring a quick response (hack the signal or shoot down the source).
Ship Power Plays: Dominant NPCs demand custom ship mods (e.g., a gilded cockpit) or take the helm in combat, forcing the PC to wrestle back control.

Of course, I will make a quest for men too.

Hopefully someday the NPCs can be turned into true companions

I think that they can already be made as companions, but it was just difficult for me.

Precisely what I meant, in a future update.

Edit: Consider making the NPCs essential, such as currently when they aren't companions yet.

On looking through xEdit, I noticed numerous differences in records with The Last Nova Backrooms. I don't actually know what that means for the function of mods that require TLNB, though.

Edit: If other items (wpn, armo, clo) are equipped on Brute, these items are taken from his inventory when you pay fines and surrender stolen goods. They will be placed in the same chest with all stolen goods, and are thus marked as stolen afterwards.

I have a question. I use Mod Organizer 2 for my modding in this game. One thing it always says is that Starfield does not support esp mods, but it does support esm mods. Esp mods will and can break saves. Do i have any thing i can do to make this an esm mod? or should i even be worrying as i REALLY want to use this mod but i am scared of somewhere down the road it breaking my playthrough simply due to the game having a fit about it being an esp. LOL. Any advice?

It's strange, but not surprising, I made the mod practically by touch, not knowledge.

I have a question.

Steps to convert an ESP to an ESM:
Use xEdit (FO4Edit or xEdit with Starfield support):
Load the .esp plugin.
Right-click the plugin in the left pane > "Add Master Flag".
This will essentially mark it as an .esm - but there’s a catch...
Rename the file from .esp to .esm manually after doing the above.
You may also need to adjust your load order in MO2 to reflect this new filename.
Check for conflicts.

any info on the next update ?

I'm currently working on the Nuka World add-on for POS. Then, I want to write an TOH add-on for Skyblivion. By that time, the Spaceborn update may have been released. I'm currently playing Starfield, but I can't come up with any ideas. I don't know how to create locations on planets or ships in space, such as prison ships. I should do some research.
