Strange things with the Companions

So I was in the Bannered Mare in Whiterun and things got a little ruff. Not fully sure what happened I did not see it start directly but heard a ruckus and came to see ( I was cooking food ). My followers where kicking the ever loving shit out of almost everyone. Simmir is tea-bagging the ground Mikael is dead Uthgerd is dead then the guards show up and they are getting picked off faster than a used band-aid. So at this point bodies are everywhere and who shows up Skjor and Aelan .... never see that before and they jump into the fray and got a serous beat down all the while I am just watch wondering what in the actual fuck is going on.  Anyone every seen the Companions show up to a fight?

No, I've never seen them come to such a fight BUT they are part of the Whiterun Guards faction and so I am not surprised that SOMEONE finally saw them act like it.

Often outdoors - but not yet in a bar fight.

Yes @outdoor encounters ...

But overall:

@Strange things with the Companions?
You mean the warrior caste that doesn't intervene in the civil war or when the dragons appear?

No, I'll have to pass, I haven't noticed anything strange with them ... 😁😇

Aber überall:

@Seltsame Dinge mit den Gefährten?

The fact that the "Companions" as a warrior guild stay out of political battles - a civil war, after all - is canon in the "Elder Scroll" universe - I've known that since "Morrowind" ... and it was no different in "Oblivion".

In the "Online TES" too, the warrior and magician guilds were neutral in the "War of the 3 Alliances" - that's why they were able to carry out the invasion of Coldharbour.

What is striking, however, is that as a herald of the companions you have to/can actively support one side or the other of the civil war ... but that is also due to the "sandbox-RPG"-concept

Never thought about that make me wonder if they are the last resort as my followers killed all the guards.
