It's good if someone continues Tigersan's legacy, because this modder most likely has no interest in Starfield =/

Is there any update as to whether there will an CBBE type body or not for Starfield?.

Caliente has been silent. However I think someone said is they are now retired and will only come back if there is enough interest.

We getting a proper body mod for SF real soon

I think the vanilla bodies are not bad as such but the female one especially looks like it could be a transitioned male to female trans person. I think this is part of the design as the game is very LGBT+ friendly and they want people to be able to roleplay as such.

However we are used to playing modded Skyrim and modded Fallout and there we have hyper feminine female bodies with 8k textures. Tbh I think this is what most of us want. We want to escape into a world where things are a bit idealized.

I am hoping we get CBBE bodies, but what we really need is bodyslide and outfit studio so we can get great outfits that conform to the bodies. The Robert male body looks great but the female ones are wanting, unless you are really into huge dump-trucks. Basically what I am looking for is a more idealized female body and bodyslide, and the mod that replaces all the potato NPCs with some that actually look human (both male and female)

Vanilla female body does not look like trans at all, it has proper biological female features like wide hips and overall body/muscle structure.

I do find it a lot easier to make sexually ambiguous looking characters than ones that are strikingly male or female though. The default female body may be anatomically correct, but it has all the allure of a sack of potatoes.

The vanilla body (centre of the circle) is far more alluring than the average real world female in my location. There are always the outliers and exceptions of course, but the average actually looks like that proverbial sack of potatoes.

Note: I too am far from alluring. Old, thin legs and arms, pot belly. Like Urgh dude, do something about that already ffs.

And I suppose if every NPC in the game walked around with their sliders at the center of the circle and without wearing those ridiculous designed-to-be-unsexy outfits,I probably wouldn't mind so much.

And yeah: I'm in my 60s so I'm no oil painting either. Nevertheless, I have no interest in seeing the game populated by people who look like me.

Which is why we gravitate to replacers like CRT (wish that would get some love) and why CBBE is missed.

I only commented after that ridiculous assertion that BGS created the vanilla body as some Transgender conspiracy.

I would love to see CBBE coming to Starfield. It is my favourite body system in Skyrim and Fallout 4. Was really really nice. I hope the mod creeators read this thead

author isn't interested your hope lies in TMD or Dr.P

When has the author said that?

Their discord. They don't outright say but it's heavily implied they are not interested, at the very least they're tinkering with Outfit Studio but really don't expect anything for awhile. It seems most of the Skyrim veterans are not interested in Starfield and instead relying on new talent to continue modding. Just like the gaming industry as a whole. Personally I found CRT to be my replacer for cbbe, I just wish there was physics.

Oh i see, i had no idea. Well hopefully we get some sort of body mod because i couldnt get CRT to work for me the first time i tried it.

Actually CRT works fine  - just delete existing body mod files, drop CRT files (latest mesh pack from Nexus) in MyGames\Starfield\Data and force recompile shaders. Last one is essential. And new KZ outfits work fine with it.

Body\clothes mod with CRT as base would be awesome.

How do you force recompile shaders?

Is there a way to port cbbe to starfield? Not the mod the 3d models of the body mod?

Importing the models and textures is easy  ( see below ).

But thats just were the problems start.

Instead of just layering clothes on top of the body like previous games, most outfits in Starfield replace the entire body with an outfit ( just keeping the head and arms ).

The arms and neck/shoulders of cbbe are very different to the Starfield ones so your going to have a hard time fitting things together.

You either try to modify your cbbe model so the arms / head fit which ends up looking bad or you modify the arms/ head to fit cbbe and none of the outfits match up.

Your also going to have to do the morphs to get the Thin/Fat/Muscular sliders working.

And If you have the time and skils to do all that then why bother doing a port?  You would be better off making your own body.

It seems you have experience porting the CBBE body. Maybe, to avoid all the problems described, you can make all the clothes in the game with a naked body model? As a temporary solution. For example, I would be satisfied with this, if the CBBE body worked in other respects

So despite what I said above and despite having zero artistic skill ( 3D or otherwise ) I thought I'd have a go at converting 3ba.

As expected the head and hands are nothin but trouble.

I don't understand why with the same hands and body Sarah's hands look ok and mine look like they have been mangled in a press?
