Verrikan Posted September 23, 2024 Posted September 23, 2024 Very recently (19.09) a mod was released (BBL - Female Body Morphs at Starfield Nexus - Mods and Community (nexusmods.com)) that makes use of vanilla body and allows quite a lot of customization (even though descriptions on sliders are sketchy). So CBBE or basically any mesh mod may turn out to be completely obsolete, with vanilla being able to cover it all.

The butt sliders are a little disappointing but you can make good boobs and body with it. The author has also gone through and updated all of the vanilla clothing to work with then new morths so you can actually see the results without running around naked.

It's a nice stopgap, but I don't really see how these edits of the vanilla body can replace a proper nude mesh. Especially for potential future sex mods. The detail and quality just isn't there still.
MysticDaedra Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 The problem with the vanilla system is that it won't necessarily be compatible with custom skeletons, which historically have been required for advanced body mods and animations. I haven't personally delved into the code to see if that is the case, but until we get body mods out there (aka presets I suppose), I would imagine that a future skeleton mod would still require something like the traditional Bodyslide, or at least a re-coding/scripting of the body morph system to remain compatible. I'd love to be proven wrong, of course.

Allnarta's Robert S male body utilizes both an extended skeleton and custom body morphs (iirc they've even added physics). Depending on how performant the vanilla system is (I imagine it should be fairly good in that regard since it's built into the engine), it may even be possible to animate body morphs in Starfield. 7
MysticDaedra Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Well, there ya go. Well on the way! Mod authors, assemble! (wish I had time, talent, and skill to do so myself, but I have none of those... I'm a filthy leeching mod user...) 3
djay135 Posted September 29, 2024 Posted September 29, 2024 Looks like bodyslide is actually coming soon! 1

How does it help to change all NPCs around except one by one with applying presets through chargenmenu? Also, and most importantly, how does it change the fact there is no normal nude body mesh in the game? Or does it add it, too? 1

Here are a lot of posts about replacing bodyslide app, but nothing about the most important thing -- female body model (at least, at the level of the CBBE model) that replaces the bodies of all female NPCs. Awsonaut Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 Zone79's ZBB is out: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/11832 2
Faustus Posted October 3, 2024 Posted October 3, 2024 (edited) ^It's quite good, but you can only make NPC skinny or muscular manually. And no nipples (no 3D, only by textures). Also, textures are still shitty, huge chest seam. Edited October 4, 2024 by Faustus 2
Vortec Posted October 6, 2024 Posted October 6, 2024 Check out the new Body Slide /Outfit studio by Ousnius. look at the huge changelog, limited Starfield support!. " OS: Partial Starfield support: " 2
Plumppy Posted October 10, 2024 Posted October 10, 2024 Does anyone use Body morph console? Chargen hasn't been updated sinnce Shattered Space came out so I made a BMC config. It only supports 50 morphs though. How do I choose which of the 38 Boobie sliders to include? 3

nIn nIn nIn Posted October 11, 2024 Posted October 11, 2024 3 hours ago, djay135 said: Whoa this is great is it suppose to replacs body slide? No. It uses the console to do what chargenmenu does with additional sliders like the BBL mod has. Bodyslide would be used to create new body shape templates and universal body varieties for the NPC's. This console solution only edits the selected player or NPC. 1 at a time.
Kraven12 Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 I wonder if Caliente will return for one more run. So far some good ones, but Cal just had it and created a studio and body mods to boot. 2

It's more likely we'll get something out of the UNP ecosystem before we see a CBBE body. 1

She made some stuff for starfield but then lost interest and Onisus(sp?) never published it because he also "got bored" and isnt making bodyslide for Starfield. So while there are meshes out there they aren't coming unless she decides to come back. 1
yewm0n Posted November 22, 2024 Posted November 22, 2024 Guys is the game cooked? It's been years and there's no decent mods out there yet 1
