Things you think are Odd about Skyrim. LE/SE/AE

I think it's odd that none of the elves have Elven Arrows! I have killed lots of them trotting around behind the Thalmor Overlords and they never have them, Elven Armor sometimes with Elven daggers, axes but never a complete Elven equipment set.

The places I find Elven Arrows are mostly in Bandit Camps, or on Roaming Bandits.

I find that Odd.

Edit; I forgot to post my Version...Doh         Skyrim SE v 1.5.97

No, that's completely plausible = they simply don't give a damn whether their customers are really ill, they just always say they are, because only the sales figures are important to them. Alchemists and healers? HA! Quacks and money-grubbers, that's what they are. 😁😇

Agree on the elven armor debacle (although I don't like the base game style of elven armor and weapons, but it's odd!
+ another weapon/equipment debacle:
There are no Forsworn daggers! (Then again, I almost certainly wouldn't like them any more than the basic Forsworn sword ... )

People think of the Falmer/The Betrayed as mindless monsters yet they have willing servants of other races working for them, fighting on their behalf in Blackreach. It is even odder that the Dragonborn has no option to spread the word that they are at the very least capable of 'domesticating' other sapient races so that Knight Paladin Gelebor does not feel as if his efforts are for naught, even if nothing else came from it.

Also, the Falmer have no Elven Arrows. The last pure Snow Elf, Gelebor will convert regular Elven Arrows into Sunhallowed Arrows, however, so he still has some connection to them.

Meta: It is odd that there is no Skyrim Version 2, by which I mean a remake that makes use of what was left unused as of 11-11-2011.

It could have been a test run for The Elder Scrolls 6.

Of course, the reason is most likely that they are are moderate sized studio despite the AAA funding they receive from Microsoft so assigning any members of their A-team to side projects will push their already ungainly bloated projects release dates back even further. They may have very good reasons for being reluctant to take on more talent to spread around more evenly around various ongoing projects.

I have to collect Elven Arrows to get them enchanted into "Sun Hallowed Arrows" for the stupid Dawnguard.

Or "Bloodcursed" whichever route one plays.

I agree on the armor, the only armor my Character uses when Male is the Blades armor, any better suggestions out there?

Yeah I regularly get horses, elk, Giants & people falling from the sky when fast travelling. I pretty much quit and walk/run everywhere I go now.

True, I always did wonder about the fact that they have slaves when all they try to do with me is Kill, Kill.

Like you said where are the pieces of armor and weapons left from the earlier times, don't get me started on Gelebor, lazy slacker that he is, and why wait as long as he has without sending word he needs help with the "Betrayed" as well as his brother.

I have never played the Vampire route, do you still kill Vyrthur as a vampire??

There is the Forsworn Ebony Dagger, Forsworn Ebony Sword,  Cinquedea Sword, A Double Bladed Copper thing, and a couple of other copper blades, I think they are not Vanilla though. Can't remember where they came from.

Will get some pics of them.

Enchanting: the better you get at enchanting things, the cheaper they get. You don't even meet the price of the same enchanted vanilla item

(i.e. Elven Sword of Leeching 1220 G, done yourself 995G)

Tempering: You cannot find a single smith who is able to temper your weapons or armour. And of course no mage can ever enchant your weapon.

Crime: You unsuccessfully pickpocket a Bandit and he rats you out to the Guards.

Even worse: your blade skills are so bad that you inadvertedly kill a Vigilant of Stendarr, and the Atronarch from the planes of Oblivion is a witness for the guards...

Tripping over bones, skulls and all that clutter make worse damage than a dagger.

Sneaking: Your fellow bandit falls dead with an arrow sticking from his throat... must have been my imagination.

What is great about daggers is that they are easier to conceal not to mention everybody within a 10 kilometer radius has one. Now if you had a forsworn dagger that you forgot to conceal a local Nord Karen might rat you out to the local guards. That is why leeks are the ultimate weapon.

What I think is odd about Skyrim is that Invisibility is an expert level illusion spell yet master level trainer Drevis still can't do it. I think he may be trolling me.

Maybe he's invisible by default and uses the spell to make himself visible?

I think it's odd how the Dragonborn (if the player chooses these paths in their playthrough) saves the world from Alduin, becomes a thane in all holds, helps the people of Solthsteim get back on their feet while also stopping Miraak from destroying the island (or whatever the hell he was trying to do), saves the College of Winterhold and becomes its Arch-Mage, destroys the Dark Brotherhood, stops a megalomaniacal vampire from blocking the sun, becomes the harbinger of the Companions, assists the temples of Mara, Kynareth, and Dibella, helps put an end to the civil war, gives money to homeless people, adopts orphaned children, among many other things.

Yet, if you steal a potato, everyone wants your head on a stake.

May be. Sounds a bit like a disease, though.

Not technically murder if the person is already dead.

It was the best thing that came to mind. You could call it attempted murder, if you will.

Bursting into the discussion, seeking attention ...  😁

1: desecration of corpses
2: disturbance of the peace of the dead
3: lots of fun 😇

try to whistle innocently and then stroll away before there's a danger that someone can rather rudely transport a non-dead person into the circle of the undead just for fun ...

Only you my friend...only you.  ;)

Why do all the rabbits, foxes, goats, deer, etc. run right to the bears to sacrifice themselves to it?!

Not the natural actions of an animal.

That's Odd.
