It's like the exhaustion from the past 3 weeks is hitting, I took a look at one of the Suisui mods in my backlog, entered her forte and my soul just fucking died on the spot.

I knew this was coming, I knew it was gonna be broken, but somehow just the sight of it alone made me want to go jump out my window, like... will it ever end? 

 

It's knowing that it's yet another piece of bullshit to deal with on top of the other pieces of garbage that modders wrongly stuff into their mods. I can't just download a mod and be done with it, I have to convert it to TSR so it doesn't break during the next update, I have to fix the myriad of issues left in because the average modder doesn't know what errors even are and I have to fucking manually fix the texture slots because these characters are stupid.

Rabbit doesn't have a solution for this and knowing Rabbit, he might just fucking disappear for 2 months or something as he crashes out just as hard as I am right now...

 

I don't like modding anymore, it's become more trouble than it's worth.

This mod somehow is the only mod I have that didn't break during her forte, maybe it you can find something useful in it?

I know how to fix it, that's not the problem, it's just exhausting.

I'm so far beyond the threshold of burnt out that just seeing an issue like this is enough to piss me off, I thought a few days break would be enough to bounce back but my mental is totally crushed, I need ACTUAL time off and not this half-measure shit where I'm still peaking in and occasionally helping out.

ahhh my fav body model  sooo hot. I love this mod but after 3.5 update there is a problem with one of the parts of her outfit. It covers her shoulders and a part of her back and it lost its transparency and I cant fix it  I tried everything. Of course I changed keys in mod.ini for my liking so maybe You will have to set it for yours

yyzj is one of the only sensible individuals who took one look at Suisui's comp 3/5 and just went "Nope, fuck that" and put all of the custom parts on comp 4, bypassing the forte issue entirely.

This is the frustrating thing about modding sometimes, there ARE solutions to ALMOST EVERY problem that arises, but the average mod maker is too stupid unaware to actually take advantage of these solutions.

Hopefully this catches on and Suisui modding can become simple like Yangyang modding, comp 3 and 5 exist if you WANT to use the effect for something, comp 4 exists for everything else.

 

Once again, yyzj has fully shifted to using TSR, so this mod requires RabbitFX.

 

Thanks to the dress being basically skin tight, there was a LOT of clipping, this is where my rewrites begin to shine vs the original since I can condition out all of the clashes to stop things from looking off, it does make the toggles a little stiffer, but they operate logically so if something is covering something else, then remove the top layer to reveal what's underneath, better that than a hilarious amount of clipping.

LAST. ONE.

MorningStar mods take it out of me... Fitting finale to this nightmare I suppose. I expect this to get an updated version and I expect to be asked to add the stockings toggle and whatever the fuck else gets included, my answer will be no, I've had enough.

 

MorningStar does do some cool things, they were one of the first to adopt a slot replacement based texture loading method before it was cool to do it and they use multiple texture swaps within the component block to manage textures for individual draw calls, which in theory is cool as an optimisation function to allow for cross-component texture sharing without duplicating pixels and UV space, but MorningStar isn't using it for that so in this case it's totally pointless.

 

For those upsides, there must be downsides to counterbalance them and of course MorningStar sits among the MANY modders who don't know that errors exist and among the few who love to mindlessly copy 'n paste shit from mod to mod, leaving a bunch of clutter and making the mod unreadable to the point that I just default to wiping the whole thing and starting from a fresh ini every time, it's just more mundane work in the end...

 

I did try to port across the stockings toggle from the Yangyang mod since both use the same base body, but MorningStar fucked some of the UVs on this one and some UVs for the neck are taken from where the left knee is, so applying a stocking texture creates very obvious blotches on the neck which isn't fixable so I gave up on that after far too much time. 

Quite a tiring one to finish on, but my backlog is now empty, I can put together my Suisui modpack and fucking rest for real this time.

 

REQUIRES RABBITFX (The mod already had it to begin with, don't blame me.)

I might upload a mod or two if I come across something interesting that I feel like modifying, but don't count on it.

 

I'm not helping anyone out anymore until at least next patch, Leo said I didn't have to help out skill issue users, that it's a waste of my sanity and most people asking for help here fall into that category. (Lack of reading comprehension, refusing to use the search function or read posts other than their own or straight up refusing to listen to direct advice.)

 

I've already answered basically every single 3.5 related question since the patch dropped, including multiple write-ups both explaining the issues and how to fix them, they've been linked in my FAQ which is in the signature of EVERY message I post, as long as you have a semi-functioning brain, you can probably solve your problems with that alone.

Only suggestion I could think of is to make an alt account (or two) specifically for GDrive, but that's a hassle, too.

Hmm I dont know about shoes  Didnt change anything that deep. Your version is the SFW unfortunately no toggles to undrress her  I tried to copy keybinds from that old mod.ini file to your cuz your mod is ok and works well (I mean that broken part of her outfit I mentioned about is ok) but those keys dont work.
