Did something happen to the "WuWa: The Safe Zone" server?

I was on the Discord as recently as yesterday, but when I went to check the modding chat today, the whole server had vanished. I know I don't interact much there, but I've been a member for a little over a year and used to post edits of mods I made. It struck me as odd that the server simply disappeared today, and the link that always worked before no longer lets me join.

I know I shouldn't be laughing, I just feel slightly vindicated knowing that my read was correct, this was an inevitability I wanted no part in. (I'm still salty at that one guy who fucking goaded me after I spent like 10 hours on my birthday cracking a mod only for him to be like "Actually we had it all along but just didn't share")

 

If you're looking for alternatives for Safezone, then Huihui and Kekehxl are the largest mod aggregators right now. Pawchive is an option as well as a kemono replacement, though it's still very much in the process of being built (missing quite a lot of creators).

I don't know how they compare to safezone, nor do I know if they relied on safezone for their archives, but if you only had safezone as your sole source for mods, then it's better to diversify since NOTHING is guaranteed to stay up forever. Lesson learned.

I have 3 actually, my main account is what I use to host WuWa mods, my secondary (which I made for school back in the day) hosts the UI mods and my third (which I made for NSFW stuff) hosts some old archives of mine from back in my Genshin mod archiving days. I keep those mods hosted for those who still play even if I've long since quit, it feels like the right thing to do.

 

My issue with multiple accounts is just convenience for sharing purposes, like I could use my 2nd account to store mods, that still has space, but how do I present that? How do I do the split between the two accounts? Which mods go where? I'll be forced to make those decisions soon enough though, since I doubt deleting mods from my current archive would be a popular option.

Not gonna lie, I thought I got banned from the safe zone because I shared there my small changes to a retexture mod yesterday that wasn't mine.

Sad to see thesafezone is dead. it was a convenient place to share and look for all kind of mods as everything was clearly and properly organized. It was also a good place to learn about mods that aren't on GB, and ask for help getting particular mods. I'm honestly really annoyed by that....
