Something like that but even less. Few mediocre CC items, some minor bug fixes here and there and that's it. More noticeable issues such as braindead AI, horrible pathfinding and bad hitboxes will remain untouched from what I can tell.

It looks like they're updating it just to show that Fallout 4 still gets updates. I have no idea about the consoles part, I'm completely unfamiliar with them. I don't know what bugs they are going to fix, they might be so minor it barely makes any difference or it has been fixed by mods already.

Bethesda needs to stop updating games that are almost, if not over, a decade old and just make new games. Just saying.

Was? Fans lieben New Vegas mehr als Fallout 3 und 4? Lasst es uns in unseren neuen Fallout-Shows auslöschen ...

Was? Fans machen ihr eigenes Fallout 5? Lassen Sie uns ihre ganze Arbeit unterbrechen, indem wir eine neue Version von Fallout 4 erstellen ...

Fans have already closed the gap between "Fallout 2" and "Fallout NV" with "Fallout California"... supplemented the story of the NCR accordingly and provided a viable (plausible) backstory of the "Kurier" (F NV).

Ultimately, this "Total Conversation" can be viewed as a supplementary prequel to the Fallout TV project... at least to me, it plausibly explains why there are still parts of the Enclave on the West Coast!

Bethesda muss aufhören, Spiele zu aktualisieren, die fast ein Jahrzehnt alt sind, und stattdessen einfach neue Spiele entwickeln. Ich sage es nur.

If it hadn't been for the Fallout London project, we would never see an update to Fallout 4!

In my opinion, the whole thing is a deliberate sabotage of this fan project and only serves to save Mr. Asshole Todd H.'s executive chair... because how could he explain to his bosses at Microsoft - that fans can do something better for free - when he manages to do it with over 100 million dollars!

In my opinion, the poaching of one of the main project managers served exactly this purpose -> delaying the release date of "Fallout London"

Hopefully FOL makes it out to the world - Would be good to showcase what could be done with Toddy's games with a competent crew and no Toddy.

Well, that's corporate greed for you.

If they would stop focusing on games that have been out for years, and put their money focus into new games, that wouldn't happen. Actually, it likely still would, but you get the idea.

That's exactly my suspicion too.

Dont you think the release of a multimillion dollar show had anything to do with it?

Not really. The show does not need the update to the game to be successful.

If they really wanted to align it with the show, Toddy could of released it at the same time or just before the show to drum up interest, not a few weeks after...

there is a thing called Marketing, making an update for the game as the show get released generate new sales, they could care less about releasing an update just to mess with some mod. Sales is what's important to them as hard as that might be to understand.

its in the steam folder where your games get installed. Steam/steamapps & those 2 specific files. if u cant find that directory, browse the games local files through Steam & work backwards from there. if the files arent there somehow, only things I can suggest is verify integrity of installed files or reinstall the game entirely cuz idk how else to get em back if they were deleted somehow

Ah thanks, I was looking in the program files (x86)/steam files, not in the steamapps where the game itself was placed. Thanks!

The FO4 update is out and ready for installation. I wouldn't do it right away if I were you though, mod authors have to play catch-up first. It'll break your saves for sure!

I must have done everything right there

Which now brings me to the question: what do you do if you have to reinstall the game? Then the update will be installed automatically, right? Sounds to me like if there's a crash that requires reinstallations, the good old days are over. I don't think I'll want to play the game again without my mod list.

Some few minor bug fixes, apparently it runs a bit faster, and it still looks way worse than modded old version with a few retextures and lightweight ENB. Oh and some free CC content. Paaathetic.

If it can avoid breaking everything, I will happily take pathetic. ^^

What happens when you try start the game with ACF put at read only? I am in the same situation but not gonna click fo4 in steam. Making a copy while typing just in case :)

Download the 3 depots and paste the contents of each into your FO4 folder. I do this with Skyrim if I need a reinstall and roll back to 1.5.97:

Depot 377162 (.exe)

Depot 377161 (content_a)

Depot 377163 (content_b)
