Hello! Its me, making a new cool thread to talk about creepy things in skyrim.  If you have any good stories or anything you find creepy please tell!

Now for me, not much has happened that was creepy just yet EXCEPT for one thing....

Now I dont know if this was a mod I had installed or something but I just had one of the most creepiest things happen to me...

As I was walking back to whiterun, I heard a little girl whisper... "Wow".

Not kidding, I heard it. Creeped the hell out of me. Dont know where it came from, there was no one there. I was in the fields so I would be able to see if anyone was near by.

Of course I had to buy the haunted copy of skyrim..god damnit..

You too!! I have that happen all the time, usually it is insults or taunts.  But I had the little girl voice too.

At first I thought it was one of those orphan kids, and I search a field for over an hour real time, but I found nothing.

Haunted copies of Skyrim.....please say it is not so.

I always feel a bit uneasy in Dwemer ruins. It's the cold and lifeless, hostile atmosphere. It's the same feeling I had in Ayleid ruins in Oblivion.

Apart from that, I don't find Skyrim creepy at all.

EDIT: What is that about a haunted girl's voice? I want that, too! I played that game bazillion times now, and NEVER had that.

EDIT 2, semi-OT: I found the vanilla Skyrim children so ugly that they really made me shudder a bit. So, Thanks Jiitek, bagserk, Glouf and all others that are / were working on making them look better.

I actually do too dwemer ruins always have me on edge. Especially the ones that have Falmer creeping around in them, and Ayleid ruins always kinda had me on edge in Oblivion too. Especially after playing through one with Cava Obscura when I started modding oblivion.

Another thing that kinda creeps me out in Skyrim are Falmer. It's just something about knowing that they're deep underground in Skyrim, creeping around. Abducting unsuspecting travelers, adventurers and villagers from time to time.

UPDATE

So I was doing a mission for Skjor and I was making my way there until I found this random...uh...house?

enb2013_11_13_19_41_45.pngenb2013_11_13_19_39_40.png

(I dont think it has anything to do with the voice but still creepy finding it here). I was unable to get in the first few tries until out of pure luck I made it in, nothing really happened, SO i tried getting out, but I was stuck so I used TCL. And as I was walking away I heard this.

"Wow"

"Woah"

"Wooow"

I thought It was the wind to be honest but Then I heard the Woah and the longer Wow. Its words. I don't know why but for some reason randomly Out in the wilds Theres these distant voices coming from nowhere! I'm gonna try and make a video of it happening!

EDIT; Damn..no wonder my game has been looking so freaking weird. I have had Sweetfx on with enb series. @_@ was wondering why my game looked so damn colorful

It's just a bug. Like dead dragons following you around or invisible NPCs/disembodied voices talking to you. I sometimes have a bug where a voice follows me around, commenting on me killing dragons or saying that "huh?!" line NPCs say when you bump into them. Though it can get quite irritating when it sounds like the NPC is right next to you and there is no one you can see.

It looks like the crabber's shack, just wrong location.   Where exactly on the map was it?

Just a little way from Whiterun. If you go to the road that leads to the watch tower and take a left its there. But I have a lot of mods that add trees and such so it could be just something put there by a modder.

Belethor.  That NPC just creeps me out everytime I hear him say "Do come back..." after bartering with him.  Not sure why, but it has creeped me out from the very first time I heard him say that, and it still does nearly 2 yrs later.

I agree with Otakaiser as well - the Falmer are pretty creepy.  Surprisingly the Frostbite spiders don't creep me out very much at all, and that's with having near-phobia reactions to living spiders.  Strange.  Maybe it's because I can set them on fire in Skyrim and not worry about burning down the house :P ...

When I play the game I am usually alone in my condo and it is close to midnight.  I have my headphones on and I am totally relaxed.

If someone touch me I would shatter windows with my scream, and have a concussion from hitting the roof with my head.

Oblivion creeped me a lot more than Skyrim did. Then again I was way younger back then.

Well to be fair Oblivion had the creepier enemies.

They don't look that great now, but back then the zombies were quite disgusting, imo. Also Skyrim lacks any kind of hellish nightmare realm, the realm of Mehrunes Dagon was quite unsettling when you played the game when it came out. Of course, later on it became boring when you visited the same maps over and over again and now no one would really be scared by Oblivion anymore.

But I remember that one time when I realized that the wraiths in Oblivion actually had faces. One of them buggers sneaked up upon me and attacked, I turned around and I almost had a heart attack, looking in that face.

I think Skyrim really needs something equivalent to the Oblivion gates/realm, not only for it's creepyness but also for the complete shift of tone that brought a bit variety into Oblivion's copy pasted but calm and bright looking forests. Skyrim consist pretty much of nothing but snow, rocks and trees.

Oh and Skyrim's vanilla children...creepy as fuck. Now just imagine slapping the zombie texture onto those...things.

This is very true. Those ghosts used to freak me out a lot. And the textures helped a lot in making them creepy x)!

Well we have the Soul Cairn if you have Dawnguard installed. The soul cairn isn't really creepy though, it's just a bit eerie and... bleak. Like, really bleak.

And Herma Mora's realm, though I must admit my biggest disappointment with Skyrim dlc was how it didn't stray too far from Skyrim. One of the reasons I loved Shivering Isles is because it brought a big change in landscape and Cyrodiil was already a very versatile place.

One of the playing girls in Solitude say something like " my uncle says i'm gorgeous. But i don't no what that means." maybe i misinterpreted it ( i'm not native english), but my first thought was, "what a perv! "

I was a little bit disgusted by that cannibal cult. why are they eating their victims raw? they not evan use knifes and bite directly in the skin...
