SO... Is this how Loverlabs Moderates ?

Someone made a thread titled "Is it just me or is this site really slow lately?" Which did start up a discussion which led to on of the staff pretty much saying if you don't pay money you have no opinions.. then the thread was shut down ... vey interesting way of doing business, not really a good way to convince people that they should spend money on a  site that had people with terrible attitudes as Moderators. Also if that Moderator took 5 seconds to red the initial post they would realize that the thread was about how the site seemed to be a bit slow of late and they were wondering if anyone else noticed, it was not a complaint in any way... now i know this will prolly get the mod to ban me but heck please do prove my point

Thread was shut from what i can tell due to the threads author having there question answered

That said LL isn't a business, its essentially a free site with some ad's (which peeps block) and a subscribestar so when discussing capacity issues (LL has like 2 million members as i recall) you are going to run into the issue of what can be provided for free (with a little bit of paid support) verse what would be required to support good bandwidth at all times

Are threads normally locked because the author's question was answered? I don't browse the general discussion board much, so I don't know. I don't see many user created threads that are locked, however.

It is possible the moderator used a poor choice of words and did not intend to imply what they did, or came across more condescending and hostile than they meant to, so personally I'd give them the benefit of the doubt. Unless it's a pattern, anyway.

It's worth pointing out that the thread wasn't deleted. Locking it after making comments like that is a bad look, though.

Yet another drama queen.

The moderator in question, namely @Psalam, posted this:

"Given the OP's statement Above - Thread locked. Feel free to post similar issues on the Site Feedback Thread instead." which is perfectly reasonable. The Site Feedback Thread has long been the place to post about the performance of the site. The OP, Aki K, was asking, not complaining, about the site's performance.

On a side note anyone who complains about the performance of this site obviously isn't a member of Larian's official site, or Gateway Timeout city as I like to call it.

No, I don't think they are.

I'll just point out that the thread wasn't immediately locked after Psalam hinted at the site's finances, but after another page of chit-chat about the weight of metals and some related snark. Given the OP's statement they didn't intend to complain I guess it made sense to wrap it up.
