Hi, they just released a new update for AGOT, also I could see some people complain about crashes on reddit, maybe the submods need to be updated as well.

Started doing the CBO Patch, but might take some time, they added a bunch of female meshes, could take a day or 2 to do all of them.

 

And EK2 also was just updated, going to be busy weekend

I never was able to get AGOT working with CBO, so I might have to put that on the back burner for now. But I also noticed that at least twice the "AGOT CBO Patch.mod" file (from the merged Base+Animation+Mesh patch) has disappeared from my Paradox mod folder, without any apparent action from me. It's just the .Mod file that's disappearing, the "AGOT CBO Patch" folder and all its files are still there. Is that indicative of some larger problem?

Do you have the .mod file on one drive (like is your document folder on one drive)? I think only the launcher touches the .mod file (to change the path in it from relative to absolute)

 

AGOT + CBO is rather heavy on resources, you might have better luck using only AGOT Base, and maybe Animation.

Nope, the mod folder is on my local disk, C:\...Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\mod

The CK3 launcher had an update today, so maybe that had something to do with it. Who knows

 

Overall, I may be trying to do too many things at once. Like, Paradox released the major 1.15 patch, so they usually need a week or two for all the hotfixes to unfuck everything they broke. And all the modders need to update their mods. And I'm trying a giant total conversion mod for the first time.

Does this mod (full version) have high system requirements? I’ve been using it for two weeks, but since yesterday, my game became unplayable. After a lot of troubleshooting, I found the issue was with CBO and CBO AGOT. I updated both CBO and CBO AGOT to version 1.15, and it worked until today when I couldn’t load again. Do you know what might be causing this?

Hi, they added more clothing in 1.15, and then CBO patch also adds blendshapes for these, all of these require more resources.

 

You can try play without CBO Mesh and AGOT Mesh, or just remove folders from these mods, like you can remove

"CBO Unofficial Mesh\gfx\models\portraits\f_clothes_rev"

"CBO Unofficial Mesh\gfx\models\portraits\f_legwear_rev"

"CBO Unofficial Mesh\gfx\models\portraits\m_clothes_rev"

 

to remove the revealing clothing, these are like 1-2GB so maybe its enough to reduce the resource usage.

I deleted these files, but sometimes I can still enter the game, and sometimes I can't. Every time I delete some mods, I can enter the game, and I think I've solved the issue, but then the second time, it starts crashing again. The only thing I’m certain of is that deleting CBO guarantees that I can enter the game without crashes. I'm sure it's not a problem with my computer's specs because I still have plenty of available memory after launching the game.

Hi, I think memory usage jumps up after loading into the map. So could still be that it looks like you have enough memory, and then it tries load something else and its not enough.

Can you try with just CBO Base and Animation, and AGOT Base and Animation?

 

For example, I was having crashes with AGOT + CBO + LOV with 32GB memory, and that seems to have been solved after upgrading to 64GB memory.

When using PA plus PA Barbershop extension with agot the game always crashes 2-3 seconds into entering the bookmark screen. Only happens with with these two mods enabled and only when playing AGOT. Base game and other conversions are fine.

Hi, it works for me, does it work with just AGOT and not PA? Not sure how PA would make things worse.

I am an idiot. Somehow I managed to copy the CBO AGOT Patch inside the Phaze Other Worlds mod folder, in addition to having the CBO AGOT Patch in the main Mods folder 🤦‍♂️. Apparently I'm terrible at drag/dropping files from WinRAR. I haven't playtested with other mods, but at the very least I can get AGOT/Carnalitas/CBO/Other Worlds to run.

Hey CBO patch devs, would you be open to making a compatch with SUNDRY on Steam or giving me advice on how to prevent incompatibilities? The mod changes default outfits to be more lore-accurate, but it also seems to have made slight updates to Robert and Ned's armors (the option of dynastic-colored highlights on the armor). As a result, the bodypiece of the armor displays pure black instead of House Sigils. I would really appreciate it if this mod could be made to work with CBO. Thusfar, I have only loaded it above CBO. Let me know if I might be able to fix the issue by loading if after CBO/CBO-AGOT. I have yet to try that so far. I'm hoping it would be an easy compatch to make, but I don't understand modding enough to accurately say.

Can you share a load order, and error log?

I think those look more like some history files related issues, I think PA shouldnt even take effect this early

Hello, I'm having an issue where there are only 2 added clothes from AGOT shown in the Barbershop. Otherwise everything (Cloaks, Legwear, Headwear) is working correctly.Screenshot(54).thumb.png.de8641130c130e48144cc9b59ceaa154.png

Hi, I think the issue could be you have too many mods after CBO, you should try move them before.

The custom clothing file is probably overwritten by one of those mods loaded after.

 

So maybe try move #29, #30, #31, #32, #35, #39, #40, #41, #42 to before #15

If that doesnt work, maybe also try spouse designer before CBO, not sure if that could impact it.

 

Do you see naked characters? The other possibility is that some mod overwrote the gene files, then you would see any character that tries to use AGOT clothing naked.

No naked characters. Just tried what you suggested and the game crashed.

Can you share an error.log? There is a log folder next to the mod folder

Hello @csirke128, I was curious. What is the size of your RAM? Have you run all of your AGOT sub-mods all at once? I'm asking to gauge how much I needed to upgrade mine, Taking into account the already demanding AGOT requirements. How much do you recommend?

Hi, recently I was at 32GB, and I was having crashes at AGOT + LOV + CBO, I upgraded to 64GB and that solved it.

Also I have 24GB vRAM

 

I measured out this usage with AGOT + LOV + CBO:

 

At start:
RAM:
43GB system total usage
12GB CK3
vRAM:
12GB total

After 20 min in observ mode, switched to a character
RAM:
44GB system total usage
13.8GB CK3
vRAM:
14GB

Opened barbershop:
RAM:
44GB system total usage
13.8GB CK3
vRAM:
14.7GB

Spent 5 year or so, switch around characters:
RAM:
45.2GB system total usage
14.6GB CK3
vRAM:
14.9GB

 

Not sure if reaching the vRAM limit would be an issue, in theory DirectX can map in things on demand.

That is almost insane to me, I was planning to go for 32, I seems even that high isn't even close to optimal, to what I was goin for. Thank you for sharing.

I think 32 is doable, just need to make sure, you dont have other things eating the ram while you are playing CK3. Or you can go without CBO Mesh and AGOT Mesh, those together are like 5GB. Or dont play with LOV
