...0... Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 Come, here you have total freedom all welcome we dont stand in your way. Do you think that works? I think not bit naive thinking we make a internet thats total freedom and acces to all. I think criminals, terrorist and other scum of the earth love that, sure but who protect the innocent then and control those groups? Or is it like russian roullet you enter and hope for best A system with no rules at all will never work. But im not yet enough educated what this meshnet exactly is so maybe im wrong and they thought about that threat also? But im very agains control by goverment or shadow organisations also so maybe its good development and see how that go?
Lodakai Posted November 6, 2013 Author Posted November 6, 2013 Information and thought do not need to be controlled by government. Education and upbringing are the tools we need to use to protect the innocent. Censorship can be handled between people on a personal level. This site for example. The moderators handle the content and features they want available on this site. You as a member of this community abide by their guidelines, but you have the opportunity to go elsewhere if you wish for something else. Your parents decide what language you are allowed to use in their presence. They have a personal investment in your upbringing. Corporations and governments do not. Handing over this responsibility to entities that potentially have ulterior motives is, in my opinion, a severe mistake. You will never be able to stop those who wish to cause destruction and harm. They will always find a way around established systems. Your best option is to speak out against them. To raise your voice and educate those around you. Control over the internet will not stop terrorists. It can only help them.

gregathit Posted November 6, 2013 Posted November 6, 2013 One thing that everyone (including the fucking idiot judges) has lost sight of is that WE THE FUCKING PEOPLE paid taxes which in turn were used by these same phone companies to run the fiber optic trunk lines which the internet uses. For us the end line consumers to then have to cough up more money to pay for using it is so fucking retarded that it boggles the mind. If phone companies are allowed to charge fees for traffic you can damn sure bet those fees will be passed on to you and I. This is just one more reason there should be a loser pays court system in place in the US, coupled with felony indictments for frivolous lawsuits. This is a frivolous lawsuit if I ever saw one. The only way I would go along with "fees" charged to sites is if 100 percent of the money was returned to individuals for financing the fucking trunk lines through our taxes in the first place. SO WHERE IS MY FUCKING CHECK!!!!!
gregathit Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Exactly, the whole ball of string starts to unravel as you follow the money trail. This is nothing more than an attempt to double dip. The "lines" that these fuckers are wanting to charge for use of were paid for in many cases by government grants (anyone remember all the fiber optic cabling grants and hullabaloo that went on some years ago?). Maintenance of these lines is already being paid for by phone\cable\internet customers (if it wasn't then all these fuckers would be bankrupt). So this is just a pathetic attempt to garner yet another monopoly and fuck over the public. If these fuckers want to make money in a legitimate way they can start up their own facebook or other web based site and "strike it rich" instead of attempting to leech off of others. This whole thing will ultimately fail regardless of any judges decision as the politicians will be forced to take up the matter by the outrage that consumers will have if they start getting slapped with fees and slow downs.
HeavyDude Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 I see a pattern. Verizon Wireless with 118.194 million subscribers Headquartered in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, the company was formed as a joint venture of American telecommunications firm Bell Atlantic (renamed Verizon Communications) and global British telecommunications company Vodafone. Verizon Communications holds 55 percent ownership and Vodafone holds the remaining 45 percent of the joint venture. On September 2, 2013, Verizon Communications announced that it had agreed to buy Vodafone's stake for $130 billion in a deal expected to close by the first quarter of 2014. With this deal the company becomes a division of Verizon Communications. with that control in U.S and U.K In December 2011, the non-partisan organization "Public Campaign" criticized Verizon for spending $52.34 million on lobbying and not paying any taxes during 2008–2010, instead getting $951 million in tax rebates, despite making a profit of $32.5 billion, having laid off 21,308 workers since 2008 and increasing executive pay by 167% to $20.3 million in 2010 for its top 5 executives. In areas where Verizon has installed FIOS service, the copper lines are disabled. A customer that has switched to FIOS no longer has the option to switch back to regular copper service. In addition, because the FCC does not require Verizon to allow competitors to use the fiber lines, a customer with FIOS service will have limited options with regards to switching service providers for voice and internet service. In August 2010, the chairmen of Verizon and Google agreed that Network Neutrality should be defined and limited. At the end of September 2011, Verizon Communication appealed the FCC’s ruling regarding net neutrality. Is there a pattern here. And we won't even go near the shitstorm of the NSA's Collection of Phone Records which by the way has been going on sinse 2005 and wholeheartedly indorsed by Verizon. there were NO warrants or court orders for any of this. Anytime i read anything like this the first thing i feel is desperation. So much power and control, how can we battle that? Any protests look like little "get-togethers" to me, ones that accomplish nothing. On the of chance they do have some weight behind them and make a change or preserve the status quo, their accomplishments are short-lived. And the mega corps. attack the public again, and again, and again... I don't see the end of this, the devils circle we're spinning in. I really have no clue how to get out of it, hence the desperation.

Even though it was there own arrogant that got them to look bad they don't even need anyone else for that Btw is it me or is this new ?? England 3 intelligence agency ?? Sounds too me like that is bit of overkill right there.

Guest airdance Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 First you must understand what a corporation is and how is has existed historically. There are many types of corporations, but the most common one we hear about is the S Corporation. S Corporations, have a special tax status with the IRS( every tax agency in every country). Instead of paying taxes at both levels, S corporations are required only to tax their dividends--the corporation itself does not need to pay taxes. Historically this was the domain of the church during the dark ages in Europe. Then as kingdoms grew and formed infrastructures, banks started to take over this role. This continued until the early part of the 20th Century. We had big banks and big companies battling it out for supremacy with the common man taking casualties. In the early part of the 21st century, Companies have banded together to become corporations, and it is they who are making the final assault to control the masses. Can you win against a corporation?... no you can't. At least not with the apathetic populace that exists today. They have unlimited resources now that they control the Governments as well. Their mission is easy, keep the population fed and mind numbingly entertained and they will give you their souls. Years ago it was easy to spot the thugs and bullies, they carried weapons and would prey on the weak and helpless. Today it is harder to spot them as they often wear suits and carry either a briefcase or a laptop. Although nowadays they have opted for the lighter more deadly iPhone. These people have the same moral compass as their ancient counterparts, they would sell their own mother to a butcher if they could make a profit. Time and time again we have seen big corporations exempt from the law of the land, now they are making the final push where they become the law of the land. Yes, we could win, but it would take the ultimate sacrifice, we would all have to give up our phones, TV's, credit cards, debit cards and any other form of non personal electronic communication. We pay for everything in cash and we don't run debts, and last but not least we do not allow ourselves to be owned any more. A return to simpler times maybe, but it would bring the giants to their knees.

Guest carywinton Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 It can all be summed up in a word "Greed". It is as simple as that.
AKM Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 Education and upbringing are the tools we need to use to protect the innocent. Err... Mother was an educator, and I asked her once as a young'un if Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall had any truth to it. Specifically the lines "We don't need no education. We don't need no thought control." Basically, if we're raised, and taught, to believe one thing, how long is it (if ever) until we as individuals will start to think for ourselves and teach ourselves and question the validity of that education? Not what others want us to learn as "the truth", but the reality and truth as it really is. I had the unfortunate experience of coming back from a college visit, as a high school senior, and, having missed a mandatory test, been told that I'd have to take that test, regardless of why I'd missed it. The kicker? The test was absolutely pointless. It counted for nothing, zero, zilch, and was simply a test run to be decided if the test were okay to be forced upon the upcoming grades. It's a system called "standardized testing" and "state tests", and let me tell you, I'm damn glad I got out of the education system when I did, because while I value education highly, I'm absolutely unconvinced that what is being taught in our schools today (in this state of the U.S. at least), is even remotely close to what children need to be learning to survive. (Case in point, as a male, I was not given the choice to attend a home economics class. If it weren't for my mother and the Boy Scouts, I'd have had no clue about cooking when I hit college). And colleges have complained about this. "What the hell are you teaching these kids? They aren't ready for college!!!" (Not just the cooking, but general knowledge.) So, sorry, but I disagree; on the principle that so long as your education is controlled by someone else, what you know is controlled by someone else. That's not in any way "protection of the innocent". As for getting rid of the things they use to control us, I agree wholeheartedly. Having recently read a book by a guy who realized the predicament he was in (the same we're all in), and did something about it, learning the survival skills to operate virtually on his own both for a mid term, and "in the field" for an indefinite term, I've discovered, as he did, (some of) the skills that I've never needed because I've been too connected. Should that connection ever fail, as it stands, I'm truly in a bad spot. Scouts training helps, but it's nowhere near everything I need to know to survive on my own. Just so you're aware, those "in the know" refer to major disasters as not "if" events, but "when" events. It will happen, eventually, and the government won't be there to help when you need it most. Case in point: the response to the Katrina hurricane. Oh, the book: Emergency by Neil Strauss http://www.neilstrauss.com/emergency/

Not realy last i want is control by some goverment and i know im doing a good job prefend that, do you? Open free internet don't work eather thats delusional, thinking it will work for many reasons. There are more evil forces out there then goverments alone that wanne control you. Control Do you have phone/smartphone? Tablet connect to provider? Do you financial transactions or any on internet? Do you register any social network or other organisation? List go on, on how they control have over you if you do any of these. Unless you go to some other planet its almost imposible to be coomplete invisble in this world as long you take some part in it i know but you can prefend alot so they can't collect and track you easely.

HeavyDude Posted November 8, 2013 Posted November 8, 2013 The Corporation - a documentary about it. One of the biggest mistakes they have made is to give the corps. the rights of a legal person. You should really watch this.
Lodakai Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 @AKM If you look at the first post in this thread. I already mentioned that it is important for you to educate yourself. You are referring to public school systems. They are only one tool in your arsenal in a battle for the truth. You cannot build a house with a screwdriver alone. Yes.. question what they teach you. But do not disregard the method they provide to learn. The information you pick up in schools and universities are not as important as the procedure they provide to perform your own studies. Many parents make the mistake of thinking they can trust the schools to educate their children without any further input. It requires active participation and interest from the parents and other interested parties to make sure and correct anything they feel is in error. @Evasiadutch Open and free internet is not a solution by itself. But it provides something that is lacking. An option. You would still be free to be treated as cattle. You can still be fed, raised, and milked without question if that is the lifestyle you prefer. I am not suggesting taking that away from you. I am suggesting that I personally want something else.
