yeah, seen alot of people say that the translation is pretty bad, dont have it so cannot confirm this myself

Worth what? You should pay the modders, not the publisher who hired clowns...

For now no one is thinking about a fan re-translation. I am all in favour of using a pre-trained AI for this work, because this game has multiple languages, not only English, and only AI can translate everything in no time.
I'm sure it will come out a better job than what the clowns in the localization team did.

As a translator myself, some people need to learn the difference between localization and translation.

 

Also rules exist for every translator in a project, and sometime they can not go out of their way to change that rules.

 

The more advanced stuff is each translator usually follow a certain style.

Translators or localizers butcher the culture and change everything if "they dont like it", why would we not dislike translators!? Also it doesn't matter if there's a difference between these and those rules you mentioned, are they ones that ruin culture, ruin the meaning of what its about because that's what the so called translators does!? They're all jokes, would be happy if AI takes over their jobs, at least it will be accurate....

Well I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you're clearly imagining things in a delirious conspiracy theory sprinkled with a bit of victimization delusions, because that is really not how things work in the real world. I won't even comment on the AI nonsense.

I have to disagree. This problem is being talked about all over social media right now. It's not just him and it's not just a couple of people either. We have at least one admission of someone actually going out of their way to ruin a translation. I know the news stories are really early but, we'll eventually get all of the facts. And if we're right then, will you be able to accept that there's actually something going on or will you continue to gaslight everyone to say there's nothing happening?

I strongly disagree that he had any delusion and while there's no fact that what's happening with this game is the same as the example given, that person is smart to bring it up because similar things are in fact happening. Whether you believe it yourself or not, I just think it's disrespectful to call people delusional. although to be fair i guess adult modding for this game is now well underway. stuff is getting uploaded to nexus. the previously mentioned modding discord is filling up with uncensored mods that are also getting uploaded to nexus. stuff that isnt allowed here or on the discord is being made on patreon it looks like. theres no modding work being done here,so people dont have anything else to talk about except garbage.

I find it absurd that users who defend official localisations have appeared out of nowhere right here on LoversLab. Are you bots that use search engines by triggering specific words?

 

Fan-translations have always existed. I don't see why we have to reject them today in order to promote the dirty work of clowns working in localisation teams, forced to follow rules or ideals, but very often it is the localizers themselves who have these ideals, see the case of Katrina L.

I'm also a translator. I know the difference. I'm asking for a re-Translation mod, not a re-Localization mod.
