ModderWhoModsThings Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 (edited) View File Vanilla Framework Continued Read the installation instructions before installing What is it? Vanilla Framework tries to replace ALL vanilla portraits with pornographic versions, except for most of the machines. This includes portraits for crises and paragon leaders as well as all playable species. The only portraits from the base game you should see with this mod installed are the machines (though they may sneak in through events that need to be patched). There is a non-replacer version available that adds new portraits without overwriting any base-game files. Species added by this mod include futanaris that may be accessed using the traits from Lustful Void or by the gender traits included in this mod. In addition to portraits, this mod adds 3 new traits to help control the gender of your species: Male-Futa (+10% pop growth, replaces females with futas), Female-Futa (+25% pop growth, replaces males with futas), and Tri-Gender (+10% pop growth, females portraits will include futanaris and full females). What does it do? At present it adds; 7 Aquatics sets 7 Arthropoid sets 7 Avian sets 3 Fungoid sets 29 Humanoid sets 7 Lithoid sets 13 Machine sets 19 Mammalian sets 5 Molluscoid sets 11 Necroid set 5 Plantoid sets 12 Reptilian set 8 Toxoid sets 9 Kemonomimi sets 3 Hyper-Size sets (optional submod) Crisis sets Pre-Sapient Enclaves Event Races Unique character/race instances Total Mod Images: over 6,000 Requirements No requirements other than a copy of the game Stellaris, but check the installation guide as the mod has to be downloaded in parts. Lustful Void is highly recommended for use with this mod as the gender traits work with VF species. All species may be accessed without DLCs, however you will need the relevant DLCs to access certain species classes such as aquatics or necroids. If you lack any species DLCs, you can access the species as a non-DLC class from the DLC Species category on the empire creator. Compatibility This mod is designed to be fully compatible with Lustful Void's gender traits but can still be played without them. Other mods that tamper with coding for certain base game events, crisis, and paragons may cause issued. This mod overwrites 00_portrait_sets and 00_portrait_categories with a blank file to remove base game portraits. This game also overwrites the code for most paragons, crises, and some events. Base game portrait sets and portrait categories are overwritten to remove them, but other mods that overwrite them should work fine if they are placed BELOW VF in the mod order. The base game machines portrait set is technically overwritten but no changes are made, it is included in the VF machines portrait category so any changes other mods make the the base game machine portraits will be reflected in the category labelled "Machines (VF)". This mod includes the following mods (they are part of VF Continued and should not be installed separately): VanillaFrameworkPortraits+ by EnviousEll, Vanilla Framework Events Updated by Railgunner2160. This mod includes portraits (but not code) from the following mods: Furry Dickgirl Portraits by Nightsail, VF Inspired Themes by Railgunner2160. These mods may be installed alongside VF Continued in order to use the species created in those mods, as the portraits in VF Continued are all integrated into the VF species. By default, each species will use the Male and Female image sets, but when used with Lustful Void, you can also use the Futa images. When creating a species, select their appearance, then a gender trait (All Male/Female, Futa), then change the rulers appearance. The rulers image won't update itself in the creation menu when you choose a gender trait, so you'll need to do that yourself. Submods REQUIRED - VF Portraits: contains the image files for humanoids, mammalians, and reptilians. Optional - VF Hyper-Size: contains species tailored to the hyper-size fetish. Should work fine on its own without other VF versions. Alternate Versions Standard: downloads that have no special designation are the regular version of VF as described in the "what is it" section. Non-Replacer (NR): this version of VF adds the portraits without overwriting base-game files. This means that you will see base game portraits for all crises, events, and paragons, and that base game portraits may be used by randomized species (or by the player in genemodding/empire creation). This also maximizes compatibility with other mods. NR versions still require VF Portraits. Legacy: older versions of VF may be available for download for people who wish to stay on old versions of Stellaris. Versions older than 2.4 do not require VF Portraits. Installation Delete any old versions you might have installed Download the latest Vanilla Framework.zip and VF Portraits.zip. These are only separate mods because the mod was so big I had to split it up. Both Vanilla Framework and VF Portraits are required for the mod to work properly. Extract their contents into Documents/ Paradox Interactive/ Stellaris/ mod Make sure there is a folder named "Vanilla Framework" and a file called "Vanilla Framework.mod" as well as a folder named "VF Portraits" and a file called "VF Portraits.mod" This mod should be the last active mod in your launchers mod load order, with VF Portraits above Vanilla Framework. Troubleshooting Missing Human, Mammalian, and Reptilian portraits: these portraits are now stored in the VF Portraits submod due to size limitations. Download VF Portraits (which can be found in this Loverslab file) and install it the same way you installed Vanilla Framework. Ensure that it is enabled in your mod list. Base game portrait appeared: while the goal of the standard version of VF is to replace ALL portraits in the base game with porn, this is difficult to achieve with my limited understanding of Stellaris scripting, and I cannot personally test every event and galaxy generation. You will likely encounter some species that still use base game portraits due to a bug or oversight. The only way to change the portrait once it has been generated in your game is to edit the save, which I cannot help you with. If you encounter any base-game portraits, please report it in the mod's forum so I know to fix it. Before reporting, make sure that you can replicate the bug with only VF (and optionally lustful void) activated to make sure its not another mod breaking things. Contributors Railgunner2160 (coding, additional portraits) MalikilsHere (additional portraits) Xenodragon54 (additional portraits) EnviousEll (additional portraits) Giorgi200 (additional portraits) lolman6978 (additional portraits) Nightsail (additional portraits) nonething55 (additional portraits) Yourmamu (additional portraits) Luthenin (additional portraits) How to Contribute Vanilla Framework Continued is always looking for new images! If you have some images that you think would be a good fit for the mod, or if you want to get started as an image gatherer, review the following section: Spoiler Preparing Image Files: Images MUST have the background removed, however some prop objects are acceptable. Images MUST be 500*320 px dimensions. Make sure you are not distorting the images when resizing. Portraits should be in PNG format. Images must be named in a way that describes their gender, and if you have multiple species in the same folder the name must also describe the species. Naming portraits submitted for review in the finalized VF format is actually detrimental to my workflow. When sending me more than 10 images, you should have them in some sort of zip file or drive. I (ModderWhoModsThings, the mod author) do not want to click through a bunch of files and download them individually. Watermarks are usually acceptable, and you should not remove them with the background. We cannot take someone's artwork and remove their name from it, however moving or resizing a watermark is acceptable. If a watermark becomes illegible when resizing, you should erase it (it won't do any good if nobody can make it out anyway), then write whatever the watermark said into the image manually. GIMP is a free image editor with built-in dds support, and I can walk you through the image editing process if you are having trouble. Image Quality: While I appreciate the effort of all image contributors, not every image will make the cut. I try to remain as impartial as I can, but somebody needs to ensure that VF portraits are high-quality. Images may be rejected for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to: blurry image quality strange art style (VF is based around 2d drawings, things such as highly realistic depictions would look out of place) extreme fetishes such as gore or excrement too many characters (Portraits in this mod are supposed to be depictions of a specific leader, so each image should be centered around a single person, though secondary characters are acceptable if it is still clear who the leader is) not being sexual enough (this is a porn mod, fully clothed images should be avoided) containing background not fitting any existing species theme (the image may be set aside for future use if it is otherwise good) gender not being clearly identifiable (there should be penis, vagina, boobs, or balls visible even if they are covered by clothing) I will always provide an explanation for rejecting an image. If you are unsure if an image is usable, discuss it with me. You may send me unedited images in bulk and I will sort them into ones that will and won't likely work for VF. If an image has fixable issues, you may redo the image and send it to me again. Creating a New Species *if you are only collecting portraits for existing species you may skip this section If you want to contribute images for a new species, take the following steps: Do a quick search to see if there are enough quality images to make the species. A minimum of 5 portraits for each gender, including futa, are required to add a new species to the mod. If you believe that the species would be feasible to add, contact me, and if I think that the species could work in VF I will reserve a number (such as Mam32) for that species. If your species is approved, collect and edit the images. Send the images to me for final approval and make any requested changes. Once I have the finalized images I will then add them into the mod. In some circumstances, I may implement new species as a submod. For example, if someone wants portraits tailored to a specific fetish, I may separate them into their own submod so not everyone who uses VF has to have the fetish stuff. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want, I'm happy to make accommodations! Thank You For Reading! Don't let all these requirements intimidate you, this is a community-driven mod where every contributor (including myself) is just someone who found this mod and wanted to help out. The whole process is pretty informal and forgiving, this guide is here because the number of contributors kept growing and we needed to start organizing things a bit more to keep track of everything. Changelog Remember to delete the old version before installing the new one 6/17/2026 - VF 3.4.0 Updated for Stellaris 4.4. Gender traits are now mutually exclusive with LV's "Androgynous" trait. Latex Wolf species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits. Latex Wolf (64F, 82H, 96M). Spoiler 12/14/2025 - VF 3.3.0 VF Portraits is 2.9 is now required. This update may break savegames if the lava dragon or murderdrone species are in use. Added the DLC Species category in empire creation, allowing for the use of species that normally use DLC classes. As of Stellaris 4.2 you can no longer use species from a DLC class unless you have the DLC, so the DLC Species category has copies of all the species under the closest non-DLC class, for example plantoid species can be accessed as fungoids. These species should not be used for random generation, but keep an eye out for DLC species being generated with the wrong class in case it isn't working as intended. Murderbots species renamed to MurderDrones, as they were apparently characters from a show called Murder Drones. New Basitin and Black Uniform Human species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits. Basitin (109F, 97H, 80M). Black Uniform Human (54F, 52H, 53M). 10/7/2025 - VF 3.2.1 Updated event code to match the current version of Stellaris. Species generated for Shadows of the Shroud events should now use VF images. 7/22/2025 - VF 3.2.0 Fixed bug where robotic event species used the default portrait for planet pop icons. Removed VFpre_robot from code, should fix bugs where they spawn with no portraits. Revamped portrait greetings sounds, they will now be more diverse and species-appropriate, and all species have functional sounds. New axolotl species from Luthenin. Also an additional slime portrait. Axolotl (25F, 19H, 20M). Slime (1H). New WH40K traitor legion species, CyberFemWarriors (cybernetic female warriors) and RobotSlavers (machines that have enslaved humans) from Railgunner2160. CyberFemWarriors (27). RobotSlavers (53). WH40K Traitor Legion (92F, 14H, 23M). WH40K imperial species expanded, some imperial portraits replaced to move some existing portraits to the traitor legions. WH40K Imperial (11F, 3M). New MLP Changeling species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits. MLP Changeling (36F, 37H, 28M). Image formatting standards changed. Current and prospective image contributors should review the revised "Preparing Image Files" section of the contribution guide. 6/10/2025 - VF 3.1.1 Fixed paragons not being replaced. Update is only for standard VF as NR version does not replace paragons. 6/9/2025 - VF 3.1.0 Event code overhauled, non-stop event popup bug fixed. Murderbots robot/machine species created with portraits from Luthenin Murderbots (45) 5/29/2025 - VF 3.0.2 Pop portraits (seen when managing planets) have been fixed (thanks humoiww). Old code for VFmardak species removed. 5/18/2025 - VF 3.0.1 Standard (replacer) version has been updated to work with Stellaris 4.0. New Magic Pony species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits Magic Pony (32F, 30H, 21M). 5/11/2025 - VF 3.0.0 (Non-replacer) Non-replacer and hyper-size versions have been updated to work with stellaris 4.0. The standard version is still in progress and may take up to a few weeks to finish. The futa policies allowing users to replace certain portraits with futas have been replaced with a new trait-based system. This will seamlessly integrate with Lustful Void's traits (once LV updates so I can test my code) and provide gender control at the species level. The mod now adds three traits: Male-Futa, Female-Futa, and Male-Female-Futa. New Lava Dragon (lithoid for now, will be moved to infernal once the dlc comes out) species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits Lava Dragon (30F, 31H, 32M). Deathclaw species expanded using Yourmamu's AI generated portraits Deathclaw (14F, 13H, 16M). 3/7/2025 - VF 2.7.0 Fixed missing mouse species. The bug will be fixed for new games but may result in blank portraits for existing empires and games. To fix a saved empire preset, simply edit it and reselect the mouse species. There are some details on fixing portraits for existing games in the comments. New Nadia Fortune Catgirl (necroid) species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits Anubian (20F, 20H, 21M). 1/31/2025 - VF 2.6.0 Image files are now compressed using BC3, reducing file size per-image by 60-75%. All portraits in VF Portraits have been compressed so far, and the rest will gradually be compressed over time, as each image must be compressed individually. New anubian species from Yourmamu's AI generated portraits Anubian (62F, 70H, 56M). More pale vampires from nonething55 PaleVampire (5F). Steven Universe Gem species from Railgunner2160, along with expansions to WH40K Imperials, Tau, and Halo Elites. He has also revised (re-edited to look better) many WH40K Imperial portraits. SU Gems (78F, 21H, 13M) Tau (14F) Halo Elites (25F, 3H, 11M) WH40K Imperials (92F, 6H, 8M) Some portraits have been pulled from Railgunner2160's VF Inspired Themes mod to expand VF species. Togruta (19F) Twi'Lek (18F, 2H) 10/27/2024 - VF 2.5.4b Centaur species expanded with portraits from judarme Centaur (6F, 6H). Fixed bug where humans were missing from humans category. Fixed bug where ratlings were replaced by VF rats on non-replacer version. Swarm species added to event species category on non-replacer version. 10/21/2024 - VF 2.5.4 Tau and warhammer 50k imperial species expanded with portraits from Railgunner2160 Tau (1F, 1M). WH40K Imperial (30F, 8H, 2M). Pale vampire species added with portraits from nonething55 Pale vampire (24F, 6H, 5M) VF Portraits 2.4 now required for standard and NR mods. 9/9/2024 - VF 2.5.3b Hotfix to add Hum01 back to the humanoids species set. This bug is not seen in the NR version so it does not need an update. 9/8/2024 - VF 2.5.3 Reverted back to using base game species categories, as the portrait sets defined for a category no longer overwrite sets already in that category, so using VF-specific categories is no longer necessary for mod compatibility. This may affect custom empires but will not likely affect savegames. Warframe species added using portraits from MalikilsHere. Warframe (25F, 17H, 16M). Tau and warhammer 50k imperial species expanded with portraits from Railgunner2160 Tau (18F, 1H). WH40K Imperial (4F, 1H, 2M). 9/2/2024 - VF 2.5.2 Several existing species have been expanded with portraits from Nightsail's Furry Dickgirl Portraits mod. Cat (6H). Cow (2H). Dog (15H). Draconoid (3H). Fox (15H). Hyena (4H). Shark (3H). Bunny, Deer, Goat, Skullwolf, Snake, and Wolf (1H) each. A new Warhammer 40k imperial species has been created using portraits from Railgunner2160. Warhammer 40k imperial (73F, 14H, 12M). Hyper-size submod created using portraits from lolman6978 Hyper-size Human (13F, 13H, 10M) Hyper-size Mammals (6F, 8H, 11M) Hyper-size Reptiles (8F, 7H, 7M) 7/13/2024 - VF 2.5.1 Swarm species now playable as an arthropoid in the Event Species category. Several existing species have been expanded by Xenodragon54. Deer (3F). Hydras (2F). Crows/ravens (44F, 1H, 5M). Moths (26F). Owls (24F, 3H). Naga snakes (16F). Xenomorphs (swarm) (36F). Some additional portraits from giorgi200. Humans (6H, 1M). Orcs (2H). 6/21/2024 - VF 2.5.0 Lith01 (elementals) has been broken into several subgroups, and new portraits have been added to each from MalikilsHere. Earth Elementals (19F, 5H, 9M). Crystal Elementals (16F, 10H, 6M). Fire Elementals (19F, 8H, 7M). Ice Elementals (18F, 6H, 5M). Synth Queen portrait has been replaced. Thanks to Railgunner2160 for some coding help and to MalikilsHere for the portrait. New version name convention is now being used. The first number will be changed if a major restructure is done to the mod, the second number indicates a likely save-breaking update, and the third number indicated minor changes and expansions, with a letter at the end indicating a minor bugfix. 5/24/2024 - VF 2.4.2b Fixed bug where robots made by a biological empire couldn't access the VF robot portraits in robomodding. 5/24/2024 - VF 2.4.2 Updated code for event species. Added event species portrait sets and portrait categories, allowing for them to be used in the empire creator. VF machines are now added in through a separate portrait set, so other mods may safely overwrite the base game machines portrait set. 5/15/2024 - VF 2.4.1b Fixed minor bug with plant species 1. 5/11/2024 - VF 2.4.1 Changed the portrait categories so they don't overwrite base game portrait categories, which should improve compatibility with other mods. Portrait categories (the portrait groups that you see in the empire creator) have been renamed to indicate that they are from vanilla framework. Before the latest update, the portraits in the empire creator were grouped by species class, and now they are grouped by species category. This means that with multiple portrait mods installed you may see several different portrait categories which all contain species of the same class, so species categories now indicate that they are from this mod in addition to which class the portraits contained belong to. Machine Age pre-made empire removed. Bugfix - Lithoid portraits are now part of the lithoid species class. 5/9/2024 - VF 2.4.0 New species added using portraits from MalikilsHere. Japanese Humans(19F, 16H, 14M). Vocaloid Androids (24) including both males and females. Futa Vocaloid Androids (21). Updated to work with the newest version of stellaris (3.12.1). Due to large file size, portraits for humanoids, mammalians, and reptilians are being stored under the submod "VF Portraits". 4/6/2024 - VF 2.3.1 New species added using portraits from MalikilsHere. Lopunny (19F, 20H, 19M). Grim Reapers (20F, 12H, 15M). Necromancers (17F, 12H, 10M). 3/4/2024 - VF 2.3.0b Minor patch regarding the Imperial shipset (thanks Railgunner 2160). 1/11/2024 - VF 2.3.0 Integrated portraits from VanillaFrameworkPortraits+ (6 demon female, 23 demon futa, 7 viking female, 2 viking futa). Integrated event code from Vanilla Framework Events Updated. Discontinued compatibility patch support. 1/11/2024 - VF 2.2.0 Used the unfinished machine files from the original VF to rework the machine species. The original machine species have been removed entirely. ArthropoidFembots(12) Femandroids(84): female robots that look similar to humans but are still distinctly robotic. The purpose of Vanilla Framework Continued is to keep the original Vanilla Framework mod working with the newest versions of Stellaris. There are too many species added for me to thoroughly test each one, so reach out if something does not seem to be working. This mod works with the Lustful Void monogender/futa traits, as well as the VF gender policies, however I do not support the base game monogender options. BUG REPORTING: For now, bugs can be reported in the main forum for the mod. This is a large mod, so I cannot thoroughly test every feature before publishing. With this mod installed you should not see any base game portraits except for machines, if you see a biological base-game species portrait, there is likely a problem. The first step in troubleshooting in issue is always to try replicating the issue with only VF Continued (and official submods) and Lustful Void active to ensure the problem is with VF Continued and not from another mod or incompatibility. Railgunner2160 Posted January 4, 2024 Posted January 4, 2024 Try getting into contact with EnviousEll who made VanillaFrameworkPortraits+. They added some nice matching portraits which would fit nicely!!

Right now the only mod that I will explicitly support compatibility for is Lustful Void, though if anyone would like any minor adjustments to be made to make VF Continued work with other mods I am open to suggestions. On 1/12/2024 at 4:52 PM, Smily1 said: When I took a look in the files, a bunch of the machine models won't load properly Do you mean that you cannot get a preview of the DDS files in your file explorer? Because I've been having that issue, but it doesn't seem to affect the mod when they are loaded into the game. The ones without previews are the ones that I turned into usable DDS files myself, and as far as I can tell they have the exact same settings as the DDS files that were already present, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
SanzeninHayate32 Posted January 21, 2024 Posted January 21, 2024 (edited) thanks for updating the mod brutha! everything works nicely but unfortunately it doesn't work well with VF Portrait+ since some of the machine portraits will turn blank and unusable Edited January 21, 2024 by SanzeninHayate32
ModderWhoModsThings Posted January 27, 2024 Author Posted January 27, 2024 I looked into the VF Portrait+ mod, and unfortunately it is not at all compatible with VF Continued. VFP+ overwrites a bunch of species classes (hence the empty robot species), and uses different code for the portrait files that define individual species. Any sort of compatibility patch for the mod would basically require overwriting the entirety of VFP+'s code, so there's not really anything I can do on my end. I reached out to EnviousEll about merging the mods a while ago, but I have not received a response. If you really like the portraits he adds, the best solution would probably be to manually add the portraits from his mod into VFC by copying the image files into VFC's portrait model folders, and copying the portrait names from the VFP+ portrait files into the VFC portrait files. 1

ModderWhoModsThings Posted February 5, 2024 Author Posted February 5, 2024 EnviousEll has gotten back with me, and when I have time I will be integrating VF Portrait+ into VF continued, as well as some new portraits that they have not added to VF Portrait+.

In the last Update (from Sunday 11.02.2024 or 02/11/2024), did you miss the PATCH files or they obsolete with the new Update? All good to you and stay heathy I have decided to stop supporting the patch files, as I do not think that they are a very effective solution to compatibility. In my opinion, the best solution to make two portrait mods compatible is to simply overwrite one's species class files to include the species from the other mod. It is one of the simplest modding procedures in stellaris, you just need to copy and paste from one file to another (see the new requirements section). The previous solution of patch files means that you may only have one of the mods work with VF, while making changes manually will allow for unlimited mods to be made compatible. Since you already need to go into the mod's files to use the patches, it's not a big difference in difficulty to learn to add species to a species class yourself (as I said before, it is a very simple procedure). Just copy the species from one class file's custom_portraits section to another file and you're good to go. Feel free to ask for help here if you want to try this yourself but are struggling to get it to work. Also, while I will not be making any myself, if someone else were to make patch files I would be willing to add them back into the mod. 1
merlin1234 Posted February 15, 2024 Posted February 15, 2024 I'm not entirely sure what's happened, but in the overwhelming majority of my games the base portraits are still being prioritized over those that the mod puts in. I've gone through my mod list with a fine toothed comb, and ensured there aren't any others that affect the base game portraits. Even still, at least 9/10 species in the galaxies created are using the normal ones. Any idea what might be going on?

Please ensure that this issue still occurs with ONLY Lustful Void and VF Continued activated. VF Continued should prevent base game species from being added to any species class thus preventing them from being used in the game, so the species class files are probably where the problem is caused. Are you able to see the base game species in the empire editor?
Railgunner2160 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Small issue that was in the original Vanilla Framework is the missing Imperial shipset. Please add Quote # This species class should only be used for its ship set IMPERIAL = { playable = { has_nemesis = yes } randomized = { always = no } graphical_culture = nemesis_01 } to the 01_base_species_classes file to renable the Imperial shipset.
Salias Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 (edited) I am running into an issue where the Machine Vanilla portraits are being duplicated when using VF Continued. I set up a play set with only this active (I used Calcs to see if they doubled with theirs as well) and when this is the only mod you have both the modded portraits and the default ones. I am not sure if this was a problem in the OG VF, and I'm not familiar enough with the code to try find the duplication. **EDIT** When having Calc's and this on together with Calc's below VF, you get both Calc's and then the Vanilla Portraits and then the VF ones Though when looking at another race you get Calc's and then the VF So i think somewhere in the code its duplicating the Vanilla Machine portraits. (I know they aren't really meant to be used together) Edited February 27, 2024 by Salias
ModderWhoModsThings Posted March 5, 2024 Author Posted March 5, 2024 @Salias The base game robots are actually intentionally left in, Vanilla Framework has never removed any robot portraits, only the biological/lithoid ones. From the looks of it, the mod is working perfectly fine. Removing the base game robots could cause some issues that I do not currently know how to account for, such as setting new default robots for each species class.
