TheDarkMaster Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 Well, my modding efforts from the last few hours have been somewhat frustrated by the fact that I cannot seem to give trait effects when two conditions are met. One condition is no problem, lots of stuff in the base game has that. I did get the futa mother trait applied correctly and all the localization surrounding it, but applying an effect that requires both male dominated faith and sacred futas using only the trait files has been beyond me as of yet. 1

However after sleeping on it, I think the solution I'm going to need to use is to add a new doctrine to futa acceptance, 'prized,' which can only be paired with male dominated. After all, it's not like you can change your religious doctrines to break this system. This also gives a much clearer message to players what the intention behind this doctrine is and sets up for stories for how the futas themselves think of being treated as especially desirable wives/mothers. They've got a privileged status among women, but they're still in the same class as most women in the time period. Having doctrines with such a value would also be a decent solution for adding faiths that prize Carnalitas body traits, for faiths that are unlikely to have rulers with those traits. 1

I’ve been trying to recruit all of the characters from her little adventure into her camp with the goal of eventually getting land in West Africa (Pulaar region, where she’s from) and giving them land but I might just chill out with her and let her cool destiny kid conquer the land instead. Where else could I go with her? What’d be fun/fitting for her story? :0 1

You could always have her Destin Child become a world Conquer after setting up west Africa!
TheDarkMaster Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 The biggest problem I'm having is that it's so hard to figure out what the absolute minimum is necessary to add a new doctrine to an existing set. Finding a guide online is not easy. Like I'm not sure if I need add art/icons, if there's specific scripting values that need to be set on starting a new game, or I broke something in your code by adding something that it isn't expecting. The information is very hard to figure out from just looking at your code, since there's quite a lot of it to go through. 1
TheDarkMaster Posted June 7, 2025 Posted June 7, 2025 I went quiet because I figured out I'd made a scripting error that had been what caused the crash, and got back to work. I've got the absolute basic mechanic for futa mothers working now. I do note that those base costs you've got for accepted+ are so high that it's almost always cheaper to remove them and go back to criminal when making a new faith. It might be better to set those to have lower base costs and instead multiply the costs more to move between them so it doesn't just cost +1000 piety to make any new faith that accepts futas. 1

TheDarkMaster Posted June 8, 2025 Posted June 8, 2025 (edited) EDIT: Damn it, I didn't do the on-actions correctly. I've removed the download. Phew. It is done. I haven't made any events, just wrote a list of ideas, but the basic mechanics are implemented. I did have to override your doctrine file to get the new doctrine in there, otherwise the rest of what I added is off in its own files. A lot of time was spent just learning how to do the modding for this and waiting for the game to load so I could test my changes / fixes. I think now I just want to play a game rather than futzing with this for most of the day. Edited June 8, 2025 by TheDarkMaster

I started the Inquisitor one and it's a lot of sinful fun but there seems to be a type of contract that just doesn't want to work. The "Rescue a Fair Subject" contract, launch it like any other contracts and spend advantages as needeed and then ... nothing happens once I even clicked the spend 20 advantages event ten times in a row and nothing proceeds even when trigggering it manually via the intrigue tab. Did this happen to anyone also? 1

Other contracts will also do that. Futa Mod doesn't cause it. Last time I had that issue, I had to start my mod list from scratch because I couldn't figure it out.

MasterZak Posted June 9, 2025 Posted June 9, 2025 (edited) I'm finding that the futa assassin visit event is too one-sided. My ruler has 53 prowess, there's' no universe where they should be getting overpowered. Ever since it changed to getting deposed rather than killed, it seems like it's impossible to win in that event. When it fires, I know all the work I've put in previously is getting ruined. (It certainly doesn't help that CK3 doesn't load saves without crashing for me, but that's definitely unrelated) Edited June 9, 2025 by MasterZak

Best solution is upgrade your Enclave outside of the lowest tier, as thats why she even shows up.

If you were landed, you can welcome them to settle down into your lands and start an Enclave. Then you get a decision to contact the Futa Merchant. If you were landless, they just join your camp. If you were Futa, landless and had gallowsbait or the Freebooter camp, they join in greater numbers and unlock camp buildings. I haven't won that event a single time in ages.

Haha, since they struggle on to 1178 it gives you a chance to "borrow" their unique 3D weapons for yourself (Or you could try and let Hermillia impregnante you before she fades away)

Normal version should work for any full conversion as long as it doesn't change the map.
