Psalam Posted October 1 Posted October 1 2 hours ago, naaitsab said: If I understand it correctly. You are trying to modify the bridle to remove the bit part?  The bridle nif needs to be modified to remove the bit itself. This can quite easily be done from 'Outfitstudio' by using the mask feature. It would also need a modification to remove the 'zad_deviceGag' keyword from the item. Otherwise it will trigger the gag system of DD. Both would require to use a custom armor addon and armor in the mod itself. Haven't touched LE in years so not sure if that mod currently already uses custom armor objects.  Or did I misread your question? No, you read my question precisely, and thank you for your answer. I have no expertise in this area but in the spoiler below I quote @Hex Bolt who says that the approach that you outlined didn't work for him. Spoiler I tried this, but as I'd feared, the section of the texture that's used for the bit is also used for some of the connecting straps. Hiding the bit hides some of the straps so that their rivets just float, connected to nothing, and I can't hide those rivets without hiding all of them. Not only would that look wrong, but you'd see all the rivets disappear when the bit is removed. So, this approach won't work for this item (I have more success with things like removing sleeves from clothing to get around clipping). Having said that @HereBeTentacles has posted what they believe to be a texture that meets the requirements. Thanks again for all the help.

Deamionzero Posted October 4 Posted October 4 Just saw this mod for outfit management on nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/193410 Â Does anyone know if it is compatible with DD? Or will it force-remove devices and break them?

Thanks!  If you don't mind: Could you please point out where the source code for that Partial Animation Replacer DLL? Thanks! Looks like https://github.com/IHateMyKite/PartialAnimationReplacer is the repo. A PR to bump to commonlibsse-ng is open there, pointing to https://github.com/naitro2010/naitro2010-PartialAnimationReplacer/tree/port-commonlibsse-gg. I'm trying to build against the fork but still having some issues to wrinkle out.
abcd99 Posted Monday at 04:06 PM Posted Monday at 04:06 PM Done. Recompiled PartialAnimationDLL as well. Please revisit the original post since I put everything there. 1

Original Devious Devices works fine. There is a post by abcd99 that includes a few files that should fix this. I get Skyrim to load without (almost) any issues.  However, I am a little confused. The DD Mod does not show up in the Mod Configuration menu and devices are not visible and do not lock when equipped. Here is what I've tried so far: DD [SE][AE][VR] 5.2 + DDNG 0.4.3 (did not work, same 1115 error) DD [SE][AE][VR] 5.2 + DDNG 0.4.3 + ABCD99 Patch (surprisingly didn't work) DD [SE][AE][VR] 5.2 + ABCD99 Patch (obviously didn't work) I'm 99% sure that I'm making an error somewhere or forgetting something, but I don't know where. I've double checked the dependencies and load order, and nothing seems out of place. Is this multiple errors compounding into one overall issue? Am I missing an updated mod? am i a big dummy? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just the daft questions towards the most common mistakes: - did you enable all 4 EPSs? Dunno about MO2, but Vortex has a knack of only enabling one. - did you run BodySlide and checked that the output actually goes in your current Data folder (might be different with MO2) - did you do the "start-a-new game, wait for all MCMs to show up, exit, resume" cycle? DDs don't load on a fresh start.

ApocBoi Posted Thursday at 11:22 PM Posted Thursday at 11:22 PM Odd request but is there any discord gamers here? I got a stable modlist on 1.6.1170 but my mod choices are so limited due to not having DD or DDNG and I cannot get it to not CTD on me the second I try to enable both of them. Not looking for hours long troubleshooting, just some ideas, explaining for how to install this properly in the first place ect in a short discord screenshare

I was wearing a different outfit (not one in pic above), separate top and bottom. Then I became outfitted with some devices and I could no longer wear the top. Which didn't make sense because none of them used slot 32. I looked in XEdit and discovered that the author gave it 4 body slots: body, forearms, calves, and something. The numbers were 32, 34, 38, and 48. The bra in the missing lower legs pic above also had the calves body slot. I removed the extra slots in XEdit, and could wear the top again. However, calves were still invisible when wearing cuffs. I have no way of contacting one of the mod authors because that website is no longer available. I'm not sure if the other one is around. Neither of these are new mods, not by a long shot. Is there anything I can do that would make calves visible again when wearing these armors? I'm fine with getting rid of the offending tops, saving, making a clean save, and reinstalling if that would work. I just have a hunch that it's a bit more complicated than that. I'm on 1.6.1170 and never could get that Creation Kit working for me. If it's a .nif issue, I don't know any of those programs well at all. I struggle with Outfit Studio.

Hi, this is very likely a conflict with the Calves slot. Do the calves remain invisible when you strip all armor and only wear the DD cuffs and boots? Maybe the conflict happens already on the DDs and not the other armor pieces, but that's just a guess.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't really clear. If I don't wear anything at all except DD devices, all my body parts are visible. If I add the top, and only the top, my calves become invisible. Doesn't matter what else I add in addition to the top. If I wear different armor that does not have extra equip slots, my calves are visible again. Edit: I did originally think it was an issue with the short boots, but that's obviously not the case since I'm wearing regular shoes and not DD boots. Edited Friday at 05:27 PM by Seeker999

Hmm... that sounds like it might be a slot issue in the nifs then, after all. Perhaps the top has a naked body included which somehow conflicts? If that guess is correct, the only way to fix that might be through NifSkope or Bodyslide Outfit Studio.
