For reference, this is with MO2, in an entirely new game, in Skyrim AE, with the latest AE version of Framework (and not P+ or some such variation), with SLSO, SLUP, and Tools. I'd guess these are likely related to other mods I have installed, so I don't expect you to be able to troubleshoot them as is, but I figured I'd add a voice here in case / when others run into similar issues so that you can prioritize. - As ebbluminous reported, going to Devices MCM > Devices Underneath (1) > Item Hider Slot and trying to change the default selection causes a CTD. - Starting any sex scene causes a CTD (which I'd guess is probably an interaction with one or more of the combat mods I have installed, I'll try without them when I have time), with or without devious devices equipped (which I found odd, but starting a game with the exact same modset but without DD NG does not crash) Thanks again for all your effort! But, for example, without certain scripts you are missing all the OAR functionality. Early release discord's version of P+ - 2.0 - isn't supported yet due to the fact that it's not compatible with pretty much anything yet, but we are slowly working in that direction ? Can't say much about U+ compatibility, haven't used it since P+ came out - it probably works, but I'm not sure what tweaks Osmel did to animation registration process.

The devices are not patched by UD, i.e. the new struggle functionality of UD is not there. UD native devices work, though. Also I have tried the framework together with Cursed Loot. Another data point - I have been using DD NG with DCL, and DCL’s events have all been working okay for me, equipping DDs as expected, with the added benefit of significantly improved performance for the equipping. 3

Thanks for the clarification, I will test it. The "enchanted chest" functionality of DCL works, the standard devices are equipped. But when you trigger a special DCL device, e.g. the slave collar or the slave gag, the device is not equipped. Should taki.esp be loaded with a higher or lower priority than DCL?

Taki's overhaul doesn't touch DCL's custom stuff, I think - it only adds some fixes and animations to base DD items, so load order shouldn't affect it much (though, my gut says the overhaul should be loaded with a higher priority just in case, as it is newer). Would be great if you could upload your <username>\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE\DeviousDevicesNG.log when that happens again. I just had that happen. The slave chastity belt didn't equip after it said it would. I could only assume the other ones, the slave gag, slave collar and shock boots won't work either. Could I make a new animation request for the next release? I would love to see sitting animation for the yoke and armbinder. Even if the player can't currently interact with furniture while wearing one, if the animations exist I could at least turn sandboxing back on for my followers.

FWIW, I was able to create a similar crash on SE 1.5.97, but only on a fresh new game -- that is, trying to manipulate the Device Hider settings without saving and reloading the save at least once. After first save and reload, though, the crash no longer happens. At least in my case, there seems to be some initialization that only happens on reload of the game. 2

Hmm it was a fresh game for me as well. When I readd the mod I'll try this as well

Double-checked and this is definitely the case for me as well - Crashes reliably if I manipulate device hider without saving and reloading at least once, but is fine thereafter. I tried uninstalling SLUP and the crash on scene now happens midway through the scene instead of when it starts, which is encouraging but still not playable. Yet! (I haven't gotten the Slave Chastity Belt event yet.) I just spent some time testing DCL events. I set the DCL MCM General tab / Basic Cursed Loot chance = 100%, saved in front of a chest, and then repeatedly reloaded the save and opened the chest: Spoiler I did not see any problems with devices not being equipped. There are some truly fantastic new features and improvements in DD NG. I have a couple questions about NG: For mod development purposes, would there be any benefits to switching to NG in my CK installation of the game? Or should I stick with DD Classic for dev purposes, at least for mods that I started writing before NG? I'm currently using "out of the box" DD without any tweaks or enhancements in my CK installation. My other question is mainly because I've been out of the loop for a while: what are P+ and U+? ?
