I have a question, I can't remember the post though, so I'll risk asking again:

What does the ff files replace/do? The body? Is it the effect? Can I somehow replace the body used in this mod so I can mix and match it with hdt?

I'm currently trying to mix and match and giving this another go in my head. And when replacing the armors and renaming them, if I were to say for example, as a test, I'd replace it with bladesarmor, which file do I copy and rename? Is it bladesarmorf_0.nif or bladesarmorf_1.nif? I know to rename it to the the chest one, but I don't know which of the 2 to use. I tried replacing this before and had me scratching my head at the time, and I've learned a bit, but I rather ask to be sure.

 

No, those are used by the game and some other mods, to make it easier and more streamlined, I left those blank while building in the replacer files. The files are easily named so you can replace whatever you wish. The main 4 located in the Replacer Folder are :

 

VampireLordReplacerChest.nif = This is the "armor". Includes main chest pieces as well as the body type.

VampireLordReplacerHelmet.nif = The helmet or circlet

VampireLordReplacerBoots.nif = The foot option

VampireLordReplacerGloves.nif = The hand option

 

IF you use something like expired's RaceMenu to adjust your characters breast size instead of the weight slider, then use the _1 file to replace. _1 file is "max" weight, or scale. If you have your weight slider all the way up to avoid the neck gap issue with most custom armors then this is what you would want to do. Why I didn't tag them with a _0 when I made the entries is beyond me, this started as something personal I did for myself and decided to share, so more then likely that's why. It's both not that hard to fix really in the CK, but also not really THAT big a deal. 

 

So rename bladesarmorf_1.nif to VampireLordReplacerChest.nif and drop it in the replacer folder. As long as the blades armor uses the generic outfit slots for the game ( in this case 32 body ) it should work just fine.

If your talking about Harkon, your best bet is to change him to female in the Ck and make him look how you want. If your talking about the PC ( you ) then again, this mod if ONLY for those that play female PC's.

I ask because after installing, I can't seem to do the kneeling feeding animation anymore, plus for some odd reason I can't gain any levels after feeding, it just resets me to the first level. I use Better Vampires. Load my mod AFTER it in the load order. Some notes :

 

You won't get a feeding animation AS A VAMPIRE LORD. You will just sit there. Sorry, I don't know where he has them hooked, and haven't bothered to look into it.

 

As for your not gaining any levels.... are you sure that it's THIS mod AND Better Vampires causing your problem? I do not have this problem, and no one else has brought it up.

 

Hell I even sculpted this mod for personal use with my Celestials Mod, making a Celestial Succubus instead of a Vampire Lord when you change. I am able to be a Celestial ( NOT a Celestial Vampire ) and unable to feed when normal, but will still gain hunger levels and starve etc, and must transform into a Vampire Lord ( Succubus ) to be able to feed on victims . . .  and I gain levels and everything works just fine with Better Vampires.

Yup, you're right...it wasn't your mod or Better Vampires, just Skyrim itself. Turns out it was some bug that messed not only with feeding animations, but sitting, enchanting and working on weapons and armor. Had to revert to an earlier save before whatever happened, and all is good now. Thanks for the response, though...cheers!

Hello! I just recently found your lovely mod. I've been looking for something like this for a long time, so thank you for sharing it!

 

Everything works great so far, and I really like the animations. The static wings don't really bother me, overall it's very beautiful.

 

The only problem I seem to encounter is the facegen issue. I've tried replacing the .tri files to no avail. I use the most recent version of RaceMenu, and I've looked through its files after extracting its BSA archive. It has many different head morphs that it uses, and I'm not sure exactly which are the correct ones. I tried them at random with your mod and nothing really changed, or if it did it simply got worse. I opted to go into your mod's .esp and redirect the mod to reference the default paths for the head morphs (meshes\actors\character\character assets\femalehead.tri, femaleheadchargen.tri etc). Still looks exactly the same, though. So I'm assuming there's no way around this at the moment.

 

Otherwise it works like a charm though, so I'll definitely be keeping it. I just wondered if perhaps you could clue me in on maybe what .tri I should use from RaceMenu since you said you use it yourself. Or if it's even possible to carry over the customizations with it at all. I know that RaceMenu uses a lot of different morphs so, I'm not sure if it's possible to get it to look exactly the same on the vampirelord.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Actually the fix is simple and part of a new patch I am working on,. It has nothing to do with tri's. Instead, in the CK, you need to look under the race entry for VampireBeastRace for female. Then look and see what options are checked for Face Data. Both Overlay head parts list and Override head parts list need to be UNCHECKED. Everything should then work fine for ANY head data you want to use.

Now, to the obvious question: Is there a way to make this work with Sexlab? I can easily replace the Textures alright but something about the animation-path or the Skeleton makes my char turn into a lovecraftian Ball of flailing Limbs whenever i try to trigger a Sexanimation while inside VL.

^I don't think so. the ssl animations are for the standard vamp lord and this mod isn't compatible with standard vamp lord shtuf. that, and it has its own little resource nook so its blind to everyone and everyones blind to it. can't get sos to work either.

 

but its a great mod. wish more semi/total conversions had this many customizable bits. even got a hdt cbbe mesh to finally work. any chance I can glue an sos strap on to the mesh in blender or nifskope or whatever? also, hdt skirts... everything has to be hdt.

I'm loving this mod, however I have 2 small problems.

First is a problem that already had been mentioned here but I can't find a solution where the other person did. My hands are missing and I'm not using any other vampire mod other than Better Vampires. I've checked it with TES5Edit, and nothing is overriding the gloves or anything else concerning the Vampire Lord. I'm sure the problem is still on my side but if someone knows something that could point me in the right direction that would be great

I also have a problem with the jumping animation when on the ground. My arms seem to bend backwards in a very painful and unnatural way.

 

Other than that though, I'm loving it!

You installed this mod with NMM. This mod is NOT NMM compatible. Uninstall the mod with NMM and please install it manually.

You are correct. SL has it's own animations. Those hook into it. I also THINK it has it's own behavior right? I'm sure it must, since it requires fnis if I am not mistaken. See, my mod DOESN'T require FNIS, I work around it by making everything simply a replacer. I just made those old paths point to new ones, be it file or file structure name, that worked in this way.

 

As for your question, anything can be anything. If you have a nif, you can combine nifs. Yes. That simple. You can make whatever you want be part of whatever you want or whatever you want it to be. I suggest learning more about nifskope.

Is better Vampires the one with the cloak? One of them has that thing and it is what messes with my mod. that said, I SWEAR I use BETTER VAMPIRES and it doesn't have that effect. My it is a version difference? Did Better Vampires ever at one point HAVE a cloak and now it does not? Anyone know?

No. There are reasons why animations don't want to work with behaviors if you straight up replace them. See my above about how that is how I made that mod. It also had broken the power attacks for the first versions of this mod. Groovetama was nice enough to take them and knowing how to work with animations fix them sot hey had the right flag to work when flagged as this race instead of the race the animation was made for. If you want to replace them, you will have to ask Groovetama how he did it.

Better Vampires is not the one with the cloak, no. I know which one you mean though, even though I can't think of the name right now.

 

 

Anyway, I finally found the problem. It's pretty damn simple really. Following your explanation I modified the armor to the Bodyslide generated Dragonscale armor. All pieces worked fine apart from the gauntles, so today I decided to check the NIF file of the gauntlets. Apparently the Gauntlets used the Forearm (34) Dismember type, instead of the Hands (33). I modified this in the NIF, and the gauntlets showed up.

 

 

... Now I see how terribly Dragonscale Gauntlets look on the Vampire Lord and am changing it back to your armor...

 

 

I still have the problem with the jump animation, but that's very easy to "ignore". Loving the mod so far!

Hello ! Thank you for this mod, it's almost perfect ! But, I wanted to know if there's a way to replace the wings with wings which are already animated.. I tried with the Animated Dragon Wings, but the game crashes when I transform to vampire lord.. The mod is already amazing as it is, but I would like to have moving.. I've seen that it's not possible to have the same animation that the vanilla VL one, but maybe it's possible to just "flappy wings" ..? :3 I can do it myself if someone explain it to me !

3.: last time my head was completly not visible and i could not find the right folder or datas to fix it . . im a little confused XDD

 

well nvm i tryed this becuse it looks very great and i like to have my white pale with butt/breast physiks the BVLT armor with some custom glooves and boots and maybe much more . .

 

what can i do know !?

 

i read the discription more times and teh install guide . .my english is not perfekt but i can understand it and done following steps:

extractet archive take the core folder with textures/mashes drop it in skyrim folder .... THE DATA FOLDER !!!

take the "Winged A" esp drop it in the date folder . . (dont forget to activate the esp)

 

know if i understand it right i can choose nif and dds files and just rename it like the fils in the "replace" folder and replice it those files thats it !?

if yes i done all right and way i cant transform anymore ???

it is grey in my magic book . .

 

pls help !

Have you tried moving this mod lower then all your other vampire lord mods in the load order? Put mine last.

i tryed yesterday to transform succsesfull . . first i could not than i changed the area and i tryed again and it works but !!!

 

i have the same problems as before butt and breast pyhsics seems glitchi very horrible if i levitate they hanging and the ass too . .

 

my head is again not visible only my changed vampirelord body is visible ..

 

know i hope the animated wings are working that one what i normaly use with pitions to fly ... i test it meybe it works

 

i dont know how important the load order for this mod is but the last seems a little wrong !?

Hey, I'm having a problem with this mod. Just installed it, whenever I transform into VL, my game crashes. I've tried different things with my load orders, nothing seems to work. Not sure if its a mod incompatibility or what... I have the only listed requirements.

 

Here is a papyrus log. I read some of it but can't really figure out what's going wrong.

 

Also, I use the Better Vampires mod. I also use Royal Bloodline, but uninstalled it when the crashes started just in case, so thats not the problem.

 

Any ideas?

When i transform into the vampire lord my character's height shrinks, but it only happens when i'm in the vampire lord form, as soon as i transform back to human my height goes to normal. Is there any way to boost the vampire lords height.

OK i uninstalled all stuff with better vampires and royal bloodline and those 2 compatiblity patches !

it was all ok head was visible bit the head skin was not VTF white pale

 

than i tryed vampiric thirst with royalbloodline+patch and my head was visible+snowwhite pale and !!!

this glitchi bug with breast and butt physics seems fixed it works with your mod fine and your mod in order as the last esp . .

 

but if i use the nature of beast slow motion combat style the physics seems a little buggy not horrible as befor with BV

another point i tryed with uchiha race with sharingan slowmotion and no breast and butt physics bug only with BV+RB and nature of beast

 

it seems all is fixed with VT+RB i testing you mod with much other stuff and report if something seems wrong by using your mod

i hope that was a bit helpfull

 

befor i used vampThirst+Royal it was BV+Royal and it is hart to detect witch of all those mods and compatiblity patches made problems in VampLord form ..

if i use BV+royal my head is not visible or has not the VTF+Pale skin in LordForm + Butt and breast seems glitchy

if i use VT+Royal my head is visible and has the correct skin tone and the butt and brest physics are ok if i levitate in Lord Form ...

 

thats all i try out some other stuff and report if its something in combination with this mod

stupid question !

 

the BVLT brest/butt physiks works with no big problems if i take the tbbp body and the armor is not visible only the wings seems replaced but !

if i can only change visible stuff in the mash/texture replace folder way it changes complete from your stuff to a naked body with dark vampire wings if this mod dont have any texture dds files and the nif data goes automaticly in to the character assets folder !?

 

and way it changes something if i manipulate the charakter assets folder if i can only manipulate visible stuff over the replace folder !? thats a bit confusing

 

and i saw another thing . . . i think its the chargen.tri in your replace folder if i am in Lord form i have no more exactly the same face as before and the Neck is a bit buggy cant fix it with texture blend . . . i tryed to change some chargen files (made backups) but could not fix it face is a bit ugly not much but i can see it . .

 

if i use that BVLT curiosly it looks better no texture problem on my neck face locks as befor transformation and the instalation contains no dds textures or chargen tri files . . .

 

in your replace folder is a file named exactly like those from BVLT but only 10kb big . . . how i can have the BVLT armor without any dds fils and only nif files !?

in your folder is the 10kb queenarmor butt seems like a dummy or fake date if not sorry for saying that ^^
