Love the looks of this mod, but as soon as i transform into vamp lord, after getting harkons gift, all the other vamps get hostile and when i'm in human form they just see me as a mortal so i cant continue the quest line.

use the setrace console command after you revert back to human form

example:  player.setrace bretonracevampire

 

replace breton with whatever race your character is and then they will recognize you as a vampire.

That being said, i have followed the install instructions in the readme.

Copied the 00 core to my skyrim data folder.

Put the B wings ESP in the data folder.

I even deleted the A wings from those folders to make sure, as someone suggested.

 

Now the animations are working, and they look great, but i am still stuck in my boring old vanilla VL form, and i cant figure out what is wrong.

 

I made sure the esp was checked in the launcher, but i use Mod organizer to start my game, not sure if that might be the problem, but then why do the animations work.

 

Anyone that could help me solve this please?, i really wanna try it.

It sounds to me like you have another mod that effects Vampire Lord loaded after this one in your mod list. Try placing my mod lower / below any other vampire mods you have, it should fix the problem.

It sounds to me like you have another mod that effects Vampire Lord loaded after this one in your mod list. Try placing my mod lower / below any other vampire mods you have, it should fix the problem.

 

First of, thank you for the reply.

 

Second, i have installed this mod manually like the read me says, but all other mods are installed through the Mod Organizer, so changing the load order is not going to be possible, however i was thinking of trying to open the rar file, remove the excess files and recompact it, then try to install through MO, see if that works.

 

P.S: i use both better vampires and Royal bloodline (the one that makes the hands dissappear if you chose the one with the cape)

Ok, now i've tried packing the mod and installing it through Mod Organizer, that didnt work.

I've tried re-installing it manually and removing Royal bloodlines, that didnt work either.

 

As i said earlier, this mod is the only one i am not using MO with so the load order thing is kinda not valid, i check this mod in the launcher, then exit the launcher and open mod organizer, where all my other mods are, and launch the game from there, maybe that is the problem, but i have way too many mods to risk installing them all manually and love the ease of MO.

 

So if that is the case, i may have to resign myself to the fact that i might not get to use your mod, wich i find really sad because it looks really great, and looks like you've spent alot of time on it, not to mention alot of time helping clueless people like me

I have been using this mod with better vampires and royal bloodlines for a while with no issues, I just load yours after both of them. so his problem is something else.

Thank you for the mod. It is great. Im using it for a while with temptress race but I got problems with height in vampire lord form. Char becomes half smaller and looks like a kid and I dont like this.

I did that though what I am trying to accomplish is have my cake and eat it too so to speak.  Shaydow made his mod to be very customizable and he offers an easy method of putting your own texture files in place to have the vampire lord you want.  I am looking for advise on whether replacing face textures will fix the problem or if it is something that just won't work.  At any rate I run The Mod Organizer.  My first test was to disable DVA in SkyUI since it has a menu.  No effect.  Next I disabled it and envision face and other customizations to the face in Mod organizer.  No effect.  I am going to post a screen shot of the issue.  If it will help I can post my load order when I figure out how to extract a list from Mod Organizer.

I'm having a similar problem, I have a feeling it has something to do with racemenu because this mod actually works when I use a default preset face, but when I load a face i imported from racemenu I get the ugly overlay face. I'm having trouble finding my normal character tri/chargen files that i would place in the replace folder, any help?

 

I don't have any custom race mods and uninstalling dynamic vampire appearance made no difference. I know about the neck seams i just have't had time to fix them.

Hi Shaydow. First of all. thank you very much for your mod. It's everything I ever wanted in a vampire lord appearance mod. However I'm using ECE and I'm having the same problem that every other ECE user has with this mod: After I transform my character's face looks like before being modified with the sliders. I've looked through this entire thread but couldn't find a good solution for this. Replacing the .tri flies didn't help. I tried installing the .esp file that was uploading in this thread in page 6 or something and it got my character's eyes, nose and mouth fine, but the face became bigger, the cheeks rounder giving my character a really chubby face. I know you don't use ECE and it's unreasonable to ask you to spend time with the mod to fix a problem that is not yours, but I'm a noob modder and I thought maybe you or someone with experience could give me some advice on this matter. Thank you very much.

Edit: I've tried downloading Race Menu and exporting my face from ECE to RM but still the problem persists. I don't really know what else to do

The (bone) animated vampire wings plugin that Princessity did for Shaydow's Cust.VampLord actually does allow gliding when the sprint key is pressed, not the jump key.

 I'm not sure if it's the bone dragon wings that don't let you glide because I know that the other animated dragon wings do let one glide. Maybe because there's no fleshy wing to hold the air (?). (And the body stays entirely vertical when you jump, not like the usual gliding, more horizontal).

 Also I wonder if I want to switch out the wing type how I would do that? I'd really like some fleshy wings so that I can glide. Have to use CK or somthing?

  This looks great, thank you!  Except that she is a midget, I can fix in-game with showracemenu (I read it was "by design" so to fit through doors.)

 

 

 

Saw this and wasnt sure if it was ever answered but I think I found a fix. If you open the plugin in CK and edit the race DLC1VampireBeastRace, select female under the Body Data tab and change the Height from .8 to 1 and you should stay the same size as you are before you transform.

 

edit: after some experimentation I found that to keep body proportions it should really be set to 1.08 just like the males, you will look taller but that is because you will technically be wearing highheels. I compared it to my height when wearing highheels untransformed and it was comperable.

uh its something on your end not the mod, it works fine for me and many others, make sure you have a skeleton such as xpmse and also that your not using a mod that changes the vampire lord that could conflict.

I've tried swapping normal map textures and I've tried swapping the Tri files and head meshes in the replacer folder. I even tried editing the esp in the ck to remove the use of the tri files altogether but that just changes the face shape to the default nord ugly chin. So any idea what else could be making the face look puffy?

 

 

 

Worked some more with the textures but Im pretty certain the jaw is a little wider and the chin may even be a little longer when transformed. Any ideas on how to fix that?

yup definitely tried every different combination with the head files, both mesh and texture. You racemenu option makes sense though as I did recently update racemenu. I assume the change has something to do with the plugin in CK, let me know if you remember what it was.

I could use some help with the "mslVLKerriganWings" mod postet a few pages earlier. Somehow I cannot manage to get that to work. I simply do not know what I do wrong, or even how to install them properly. I'm using Mod Manager to install all my mods, if that is of any concern.

 

I tried so many things so far, but the wings won't show up, could anyone who managed to get this working tell how to do it properly?

 

Which .esm of Shaydows Overhaul to use? No Wings, A or B wings? is the Load order of any concern? Does it matter if the Animated dragon Wings are installen through MO in a seperate file? Do I have to combine anything? (like Shaydows and mslVLKerriganWings into one folder in the MO, or even all 3 together?)

 

No Matter what I do I have the Wings according to Shaydows .esp, the mslVL.esp seems to not do anything for me :/

Ooookay, after a LOT of testing, I found that the "Royal Bloodlines" mod seems to prevent the wings from appearing. Without the Royal Bloodlines the Wings appear and work as intended.

 

Load order did not change the result (yet, but I don't know what combination to try anymore), has anyone any Idea why these two conflict? I thought the royal bloodlines mod just expanded the VL perk tree?

 

*Edit2: I FOUND IT! Phew. After reading into the description of the Royal Bloodline mod, and searching for all the things this mod changes, I found it also equips you with the royal armor, once you reach that stage. I did not see that armor thanks to Shaydows Overhaul, but ith the optional .esp without the armor the wings now work!

I use the citrus head and when i opened the bsa to pull the nif and tri's out to use with the replacer it makes my characters face look like it is melting. I started using rans head mesh but now she looks like a ridiculous elf thing and if i use the nif and tri's that came with the file it keeps a vanilla head mesh. Not that huge of a deal still love the mod just asking for any ideas.
