And like, no wonder the mod has taken so long then. I've been wondering what could possibly take so long but I get it now. Clearly they are experiencing scope creep. Instead of wasting time (I'm sure it's an extremely small amount of people that want to see generic male Rito #5 or Calip naked) on making everyone in Hyrule naked to the point it's more just comical and uncomfortable they could have finished the mod sooner. Adding completely frivolous stuff that just turns even straight men like my bf off and could have been it's own, different mod, instead of shoving it in the ostensibly Princess Zelda focused mod.

 

Like I'm just disappointed honestly. It almost makes me want to wait for Linkle instead. Hopefully ZGW will have a version/option that leaves the npcs in their vanilla state.... because the prospect of seeing naked Rito when I walk into Rito Village is... annoying, when I thought I would only be seeing Zelda naked >_>''

 

I'm sorry if someone takes this personally, but I'm just not a furry at all myself so I'm not excited about this prospect, I'm a bisexual woman who likes just Princess Zelda. Which I figured was a reasonable expectation given "Zelda's gone wild" for botw only altered Zelda and the advertising is just Zelda. I have no interest in animal people or gorons sexually. I don't like that I might have to alter the mod (if it ever gets released....) to not change the npcs in order to save myself eye-bleach. It feels like having to pick stuff out of my food that I never asked to be added in the first place. That's just how I feel. I'm happy for you if you don't care about this, but it's really not what I wanted out of a playable Zelda mod.

I really hope someone out there takes this and just gives us the Zelda stuff. Though some npcs I'd be fine with, I don't want EVERYTHING to be modded, I just want the original game but with a naked/sexy Zelda. -.-

Palworld had this problem too. Modders get together make a patreon and never release anything. Makes alot of money that way. Modders looking to monetize game creator ip are nefarious at best. They are inviting lawsuits from Nintendo. Donations to help are one thing. Patreon for a product that doesn't exist yet isn't cool.

I bought into the patreon for a month just to poke around in the discord. There was some interesting archived Dev streams that showed off more than I expected. But it really is just an outfit mod through and through, which I think is for the best. 

 

I'm concerned about how SShigeki is handling monetization since there really isn't any "product" here. There is (to my knowledge atleast.) No playable demo mods. ToTK has been already out for a full year and I've heard next to nothing about a possible alpha/beta release. Maybe it's a precaution thing towards Big N. But it's still delaying the inevitable that someday you have to actually release this damn thing into the wild. (Literally)

 

As for Kemeno, I don't really advocate anyone to use it. It's just kinda an ethically gray site to use. I would prefer creatives actually get paided for their work and the entire site is just really off and has constant outages. Seriously don't download anything from there right now.

Reassuring because, I've been getting a lot of misinfo about the mod from other people and the glimpses I've found without paying. Someone told me that there was ''animated sex'' with npcs, but I am pretty sure now that he just made it up. I'm guessing the ''all of hyrule will be lewd!'' post was just hyperbolic then or a (thankfully, since I just want the playable zelda aspect and for it to be released sometime this century) dropped idea.

 

Disappointing because, at the moment it really does feel like they are scamming people (one of the reasons I've been digging for information and looking at what I can on the patreon without paying). I had assumed that paying the expensive, highest tiers at least gave you access to an exclusive beta distributed on the server or something (although it makes sense that it doesn't, someone would have surely leaked by now if it did). But man, that's it? Some stream videos?

 

It's sad that every single playable Zelda mod close to being finished is basically being held in a vault by it's team. I get that maybe they are afraid of Nintendo after the gamebanana strikes, but what was even the point of all this work if they never release anything? When the sequel to Zelda's ballad, ''The Shattered Prophecy'' seemingly went south, I figured that hey, at least ZGW would be out soon, but that doesn't seem to be the case. I'm generally pretty patient, but the wait is starting to get a little frustrating x_x

 

And yeah, kemono is fishy to me. I thought it was just a regular ol' rule 34 reposting/hosting site but something's off about it. It doesn't look like the page on there for this mod's content is being updated anymore anyways.

Yeah I don't know why that kemono site stopped updating...I keep checking it because it did work...I just feel like, at this point the mod isn't happening. Nintendo will eventually find out and take it down because it's still on patreon locked behind a paywall. These people never learn....

 

I just wanted a playable nude Linkle/Zelda mod...I don't want the entire game to be modded...

 

EDIT: Of course I find out that they updated it right after posting this. Still though, annoying that they're taking an eternity...just give me nude Zelda/Linkle and leave it at that. I just know Nintendo is going ruin the whole thing soon.

I'm worried about the bug N as well. The longer they have a patreon and are profiting off of N IP they are at serious risk. I want modders to be compensated but a monthy paycheck with no actual mod or even demo beyond a few vids(and only to the highest tier which in an insane amount. Not 10 or even 20 bucks) feels grimy as fuck.

It's a pirate site for content from Patreon, SubscribeStar, etc., of course it's going to feel ethically wrong to use it.

However, it can only be updated whether the site's importer tool still works and whether someone actually subscribed to the creator is willing to dump their access key so the importer can scrape and repost paid content. That's how the site works.

There's nothing "fishy" or unsafe about it and the only issue with it comes down to whether you feel comfortable about pirating a creator's work.

 

Personally, I don't believe money is nor should be the only way to support someone (as a creator, I'm happy enough that people are just expressing their gratitude to me) and I'm against the idea of paywalling mods since you're monetising off edited copyrighted content of an IP that you don't own and thus, you're liable to be given a DMCA takedown that forces you to stop everything before the work gets finished. With how litigious Nintendo is, you'd be playing with fire.

 

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind people receiving compensation for their hard work but when it comes to mods, I would have them always free and opt for a donation/tipping method instead for financial support. I mean, that's what I would do.

I love this method and support it. I tip modders whose works I enjoy. And hope others do the same if they enjoy the work. 5 bucks isn't alot to drop. Studioshigeki has a 30 bucks a month option. That's sus

I've been waiting for a while for a lewd/nude mod before playing this game, but it seems the wait is far from over. It even sometime feels like it'll never be.
 

• There does be the zelda nude mod from FrancisLouis mentionned above that can be applied on a zelda companion mod from gamebanana, Hidden behind a paywall (10€+VAT) unfortunately.
• There's the Tears of Ecstasy mod from Studio Shigeki for a playable zelda, no idea about it's current state though, and as far as i know it won't be nude, at least for version 1.0. Maybe it'll be possible to merge the nude zelda mod above into it, at least for the default outfit?
• There's apparently a nude link mod on nexus for those interested. That's something at least, if it works.
• There's a playable linkle mod on gamebanana, called The Linkle Mod, that's currently at 86% completion and seems to still be worked on and updated (as of 2 weeks ago), though slow going. No lewd/nude though. It'd have to be done afterward (probably by someone else), or maybe by somehow merging the BotW nude linkle mod into it for the default outfit?
• There's also a playable Purah mod on gamebanana, currently at 68% completion, also still being worked on. But again, no lewd/nude.

There might be some other mods out there, either done or in the work, but if so they're well hidden, The most i could find was nude blender models of various BotW and TotK characters.

Unfortunately though, any currently existing Zelda companion mods and existing nude mods haven't been updated in a while, and at least for me (using latest Ryujinx and game versions 1.1.1 and 1.2.1) cause problems, especially trying to get them to work together. Maybe I'm the only one having problems due to what mods I have, but I did try having only the nude mods applied, and it still crashed more often than not. I've tried several methods of merging, regenerating rtsb and all that jazz, but I only got both the nude mod and Zelda companion mod to load once before it crashed a few seconds later. I've given up trying to load the companion mod by itself, because even when it does load, the highlights in Zelda's eyes are missing, which makes her look dead. The Link mod was mildly amusing, but it conflicted with other mods for him, so I removed it. Atm I feel it's just not worth breaking my game and mod setup as a whole just to have Link and Zelda naked for a bit. I was thinking of recording the ending of the game with them both naked for the lols, but I doubt the game would go long enough without crashing.
