Anyways yeah I wished I could just...port Linkle from BotW into this game. Then again modding just BotW was a nightmare for me, I'd rather not mess with it again. x_x

Seems they did something similar but transferred the bones and physics from another armour piece. I feel like that'll probably be a lot of trial & error and more trouble than it's worth, but thanks for the heads up!

 

 

 

Sure thing, I'll post all my works here for free. I was hoping to get all the issues fixed first but I don't think it's possible atm, so I'll just upload it as is. I'm not sure what to do about the RSTB files though, should I include them for all game versions? It might bloat the file size if I do unless people know how to do it themselves. I guess I could put instructions.

I'm really glad people are liking it 😃, but I hope I'm not putting too many expectations since it was just a test. It has it's fair share of problems like weight painting which was mostly automatic with a few tweaks. Also just a reminder this isn't a Link replacement mod in case anyone was getting their hopes up, I'd have to learn how to do that.

 

You are a legend my man. It's amazing to see actually progress. I would think it a good idea to include all version. I myself like and earlier version. I think 1.1.1. And it's fine as just a lewd zelda for now. Unless you find out how to replacement this is an amazing first step.

Doesn't BotW and TotK use the same engine? I mean, I did hear that porting stuff over to the other isn't easy, so I dunno...

It currently only replaces Zelda from the beginning of the game and her Yiga counterparts. This mod has NOT been tested on a Switch console, so please be careful. I don't know if it can get bricked or screw up other things.

Is this compatible with all versions of the game? Curious cuz most people I know play on older versions for building tricks

is anyone else getting infinite loading times when approaching zones where this model is used? i tried doing the dueling peaks quest to get to yiga zelda and the game freezes as the area loads. no idea what's going on. i even tried going to the plateau zelda and it also loads infinitely. playing on yuzu with the latest version btw

seems like they are explicitly targeting playable zelda mods... there was a rumor of a zelda game in development for the switch two with the princess as the only playable character....

I really wished these people wouldn't freakin' paywall this crap behind patreon, though...it's one of the reasons why Nintendo goes after this kinds of stuff.

I'm not aware of any TotK mods behind a patreon wall. Sockpopppet has botw mods on their patreon. The one you're talking about is in development and is stated to be released to the public when it's ready, which is to say, there's no released version of it.

Studio Shigeki has previews locked behind paywalls, and Sockpoppet's highest tier mentions "Early Access"
Even if they aren't giving out any mods on Patreon, there's an argument to be had that they are directly monetizing off of people who want it, which I feel is a risky decision.
It's only one step away from what supposedly got Yuzu taken down.

I wouldn't be surprised if this never sees the light of day. Nintendo is actively going after TotK mods with DMCA takedowns. Free ones at that. If they catch wind of a monetized TotK mod...it's toast.

Pretty sure that was the main reason why Yuzu was taken down, Sockpoppet is just-...at this point I don't see this mod happening anymore. Which is irritating because a working nude Zelda/Linkle is all I want for this game. -.-

im still shocked TOK hasnt gotten a linkle mod yet, it was the most popular mod of all time for breath of the wild, and its a bit annoying I heard nothing on if Linkle will even return in TOK.

This is precisely why I'm against paywalling mods, especially for games made by Nintendo who is infamously known to be litigious. You don't fuck around with them.

If they're aware of what you're doing, they'll definitely come after you if you're selling modified content based on their IP and then you're forced to stop everything.
