marrow12 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 yep it is, he even comments on Shadowmere if you have him present, and speaks about the cheydinal incident, even has an interesting comment about the major holds in the game hell he has so much dialogue, I dunno why they didn't just make him a full blown companion.
afro-herbalist Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Anyone noticed the strange markings on the architraves of some houses in some towns? At first I thought they were some kind of glyphic house numbers, but they're all the same, which makes me think its some kind of marking of a cult or secret group maybe? Â Probably more of an internal bit of trivia than an easter egg, but still interesting. Nothing about them has been mentioned in game so far. They are circles containing 5-6 horizontal lines, carved into the wood or stone by some doors. Â Edit: Figured it out. They ARE the markings of a secret group. The thieves guild. Apparently theres books on it, but I could never be arsed to read 20 pages of text in any of the ES games, its just so...boring. Real books are far better LOL

I had been seeing the marks (especially in Solitude) and later found out that they meant things like "good loot in here", "empty/no loot", "dangerous/trapped", "Thieves cache", or "Fence". Very nice and subtle addition to the game that improves the immersion and keeps you on your toes when you're searching around town. Â Anyone know how to use the Oblivion marked altar down below the mages college? I hear you can use it to summon things and it sounds like fun.
Ryanhabs Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 You have to put the crystal you get from the unbound deadra you summon to "stabilize" the summoning portal. Then add specific ingredients to the box and pull the lever. depending on what you place in the box a certain attronach will be summoned and it will attack you. easy way to farm void salts for upgrading the leather armors.

Deus13 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Here is another one , you can find the hero of kvatch in sheogorath form. He mentions he was there when Martin transformed into a dragon.
HanPL Posted November 29, 2011 Author Posted November 29, 2011 Well that one is kinda hard to call easter egg since you become new Sheogorath in Shivering Islands still quite nice "easter egg "

The problem with that is the shivering isles was an addon that was released after the original game thus technically those who completed the game prior to the addon being out weren't sheo yet. See the brain tickler..... Â The invasion of mundus from an oblivion realm is a big deal so all of the gods were watching this (daedric and the 9 divines), no real surprises on that one. Â Until Beth says the pc became immortal (which hasn't happened yet) it is a theory and nothing more.
Jexsam Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Sorry' date=' no sale. Your assuming that the PC did the Shivering Isles "before" completing the main quest. The problem with that is the shivering isles was an addon that was released after the original game thus technically those who completed the game prior to the addon being out weren't sheo yet. See the brain tickler.....[/quote'] No, no I really don't. You're assuming that in this case, it can only be true if the player was Sheogorath before the Invasion began, when that simply isn't the case. If the PC from Oblivion really is Sheogorath, then it could have happened in either order. Just because they weren't Sheo at the time doesn't mean they weren't there. As long as the PC is Sheo now and at some point saw Martyn transform, that statement is true. Â The invasion of mundus from an oblivion realm is a big deal so all of the gods were watching this (daedric and the 9 divines), no real surprises on that one. This is likely. Doesn't really mean anything, though. Not to mention, Sheo does mention things that weren't related at all to the Crisis. There's no reason the Nine or the Princes would really care about the severed head (Dark Brotherhood quest reference) or the fox (Gray Fox reference, would have only been of any interest to Nocturnal). Â Until Beth says the pc became immortal (which hasn't happened yet) it is a theory and nothing more. Let me put it to you this way; we have circumstantial evidence that Sheo is the OB PC, and no evidence that Sheo is not the OB PC. Now of course it's true that lack of evidence doesn't mean it's not true, but normally that only matters when there's also no evidence to the contrary, which there is in this case... Â It's not definitive in either case, but it's irrefutable that all the given hints point the possibility that Sheogorath is the Champion of Cyrodiil.
Silk Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Plus, it actually means that the player got a reward from Oblivion, rather than a set of crap armour. He became a daedric prince!
Deus13 Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Yeah I guess it can go both ways, but the reason I think he is the hero of kvatch is because, like Jesxam said he mentions the butterflies, severed head, and the gray fox, wich are things that the hero saw and not him.
gregathit Posted November 29, 2011 Posted November 29, 2011 Your forgetting that as a God they aren't limited like we mortals are in the sense of time and or eyes in being able to follow events in other realms. The invasion of mundus by a realm of oblivion WAS a big deal that ALL would have been paying attention to very closely as it could have upset the balance of power drastically (9 divines would have no followers left alive) other daedric princes are quite jealous of power and unwilling to "give" any away without some type of favorable exchange. So conversely you could say that the hero of kvatch was worth watching to the Gods & Daedric Princes as so much hinged on his actions. Â It can be argued a thousand ways from Sunday without any conclusion simply because there is no hard evidence. Circumstantial ain't hard. It is nothing more than a theory of evidence. Sure I agree it is an interesting theory but I just can't bite hold of it. Â As I said before in another thread, I will eat crow when someone finds hard evidence but until then Bah Humbug. Â Not like it really matters one way or another as it is merely an opinion on a video game....
Med111 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 I'm suprised, that no one mentioned biggest easter egg in Skyrim yet. Do you recognize his voice? I hope you do... Â
Tobbe27 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Doesn't he make a ton of voices apart from that thief, though? I think I've heard his voice on various shopkeepers and random people.

Med111 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 Don't make feel me depressed... If this is not Bethesda's nod to Thief, then I don't know what is this. It's Garret, damn it! Â @marrow12 - WOW! This makes it f*****g biggest double easter egg I've ever seen.
HanPL Posted December 2, 2011 Author Posted December 2, 2011 Hmm not sure if this is easter egg but for sure its not normal. Â When I was exploring I stumble upon 3 SAME looking Orc Hunters (same armors, same appearance ) In few second 4 Forsworn (2 male 2 females ) attacked them and kill them. More odd they where not aggo to the player, only told to "back off " but even if I got very close they did not attack me. Â

I tried talking to them to see if they have a quest but they just tell you to back off, it may be an Easter egg that we do not recognize. Â

[img']http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g20/WilkPL/TESV2011-12-0219-19-52-80.jpg[/img]  Same happened to me and they killed several orc hunters. Another random encounter spawned at the same moment and some guy was questioning a magical item he found and eventually I talked him into giving it to me. Just as he did that the forsworn rushed him after walking away from me and killed him. They took a few swipes at me too so I had no choice but to kill him. I think the encounter was supposed to be that you come upon a group of orcs fighting the forsworn and the forsworn are set to aggro the orcs before you. Telling you to back off is probably just the game not switching over and having them come after you after they've dealt with the orcs.  I've actually had that happen to me a few times now where random encounters will spawn on top of each other. I had the woman demanding I shoot her with my wabbajack staff (hehe), the escaped bandit that handed me an item and told me to not lose it, and the group of thieves that killed the imperials and took their armor, all pop up within 20 yards of each other when I fast traveled to a location. Even better it was an out of the way cave in the middle of nowhere yet the place was crowded with a conga line of people just waiting to get my attention.  Â
marrow12 Posted December 2, 2011 Posted December 2, 2011 I found another one while re-doing some quests in Markarth, the quest"No one escapes from Cidna Mine" is an easter egg that should be obvious to anyone who has played "The Chronicles Of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay." "No one escapes from Butcher Bay" "If you wanna live, get a shiv" some of the missions you can do for Madanach and the other prisoners are also similar to some of the stuff you had to do in Butcher Bay. I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier.
DocClox Posted December 3, 2011 Posted December 3, 2011 In "House Of Horrors" the chairs are stacked on the table in the same way they are in the film "Poltergeist",
