Chris Pyre Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 Tommorow! just a few more things to work out!
Carolingio Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 mc_lastexception.html Nothing to do for me. The game gave me this LE and then crashed
WhiteGloveSociety Posted July 6, 2023 Posted July 6, 2023 (edited) Not sure if it's this mod or if it's an EA glitch-- No LE, my Sim's weight and muscle keeps going back to 0.0, he's a pig/fat pig/gaymer so he shouldn't be having his body weight decide to peace out like that. was fixed today, I forgot to update Either way, I love this mod! It's a more in depth version of one thing I was looking for, but can I suggest a guide for how each trait is applied? I.E., trait requirements? I've noticed "Pig" is triggered by either Glutton or Slob, for example. This mod does not throw LEs, for anyone curious. I have TMEX's Better Exceptions and removing Big Dick Problems fixes them. OP could probably try to update it, but it's not OP's responsibility, it's clear the LEs are a recent thing or else they likely wouldn't be a requirement for some traits. Chris Pyre Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 yeah part of the reason i've removed the bdp intergration is adding traits from it throws LE's as if i'm trying to add a trait for a mod that's not installed and yet they are. I know it's been reported to khlas and he seems to blame my mod. Never had a formal conversation with him about it, as the last time i tried to have a conversation about collaborating he seems reluctant to do so (to put it lightly). Plus most of the feedback regarding other mod intergrations has been mostly negative (not in a bad way, people just prefer more control) so I'm dialing most of it back anwyays. anyways @Carolingio thanks for the le! some how the bad tuning that caused this has been in the mod for a while but this is the first time it got triggered i guess! Uploading a fix now! 1
Chris Pyre Posted July 7, 2023 Author Posted July 7, 2023 oh! on the topic of guides! Yes that's something i'm thinking about. The whole descriptions needs to be redone to begin with the mod has evolved to be so much more than traits. it's mostly a matter of wrangling my ADHD to do it. 3

Felt that, I'd be willing to write up descriptions if you need it, but I can't exactly code for shit. My sister has ADHD, and we both have ASD. urayxor Posted July 11, 2023 Posted July 11, 2023 (edited) I'm having trouble with the dirty sex buff, it lowers my sims' hygiene too quickly. Is this by design or did I catch a bug somewhere? Until the last update, I did not see such problems, and also, why do I have all characters bi, how to fix it? Edited July 11, 2023 by urayxor

Also the mod bases bi vs gay off of CAS orientation settings. It assigns bi if your sim has romantic/woohoo preferences for both male/female sims AND/OR your sim is labeled as "exploring"

Do you plan to pull out the settings from the CAS to a separate menu for the mod?

I actually even said that we can talk about it but you never did. as for BDP, it’s because you are forcing BDP gameplay traits to be added through others things that clash with BDP itself, at least it’s what I noticed when I tried your mod ? Chris Pyre Posted July 12, 2023 Author Posted July 12, 2023 @KhlasI only ever added bdp dna traits through loot action tuning. I was careful not to add the gameplay traits since I noted that those are regulated by the bdp mod itself. Perhaps there's scripting involved that I wasn't aware of. I haven't had any issues adding traits from other mods via loot tuning, even WW and WP. I probably should've reached out before trying this (and about the other thing) and I didn't and for that I appologize. I was still figuring things out and new to the modding community. 1
femboigaymer Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 (edited) Hi @Chris Pyre ! First, excellent work on bugfixes, the mod's coming along very well. That said, I'm seeing some strange freezing in the game. At first I thought it could be conflicts with Lumpinou's LGBT mod, but it still happens without it. The behavior I'm seeing is that sometimes sims will just stop doing actions. Like, they'll just idle, or continue doing their current loop forever until I interrupt them with reset object (debug). I've had it happen to where it completely froze everyone at a nightclub last night. I'm thinking maybe the script is running into an infinite loop trying to assign traits, or maybe it's trying to figure out compatibilities between sims. Another observation is that last night my sim had the feminine trait, as assigned in CAS, but today (after removing and reinserting your mod) he's stuck as a twink. He also has the Drag Queen trait which he didn't have last night. Since it's a silent error, there's no logged exceptions, but here's my sim's detailed log. I'll keep trying to find a trigger for it tonight, but let me know if there's any other data or tests that might be helpful! Edit: have done some more testing. Initially I thought it was conflicting traits when manually added, but I just managed to get the freeze to happen without adding any traits. What I did was I removed the mod, saved, added the mod, used MCCC to go into CAS to modify an NPC sim's basegame romance/sex preferences, and when I left CAS all sims are in an idle loop, and my sim can no longer interact with him. Gonna try on a fresh save next. MCCC_SimDetails_Charlie Dahl_Jul12_180755.log Edited July 13, 2023 by femboigaymer
Chris Pyre Posted July 13, 2023 Author Posted July 13, 2023 so what you're encounting is called simulation lag, and it's actually a basegame sims bug/occurrence but it's definitely being exaserbated by something going on in my mod. It's a known issue and I'm still trying to identify the source. It caused by the game trying sort through all the different actions all the sims on the lot are doing and getting stuck on something. think of it like being in line at the grocery store and someone at the front of the line is having an issue being rung out. the trait adding and what not aren't really the cause as those happen instantaneously without having to wait for anything, unlike interactions which all needs to happen in a certain order since one sim might be waiting for another sim in order to talk to them and what not. I think part of the issue is my custom lot traits might be adding more sims than usual to the lot, or the some how my mod might be proccing wicked whims autonomy too much. as for the traits of your sim, a sim can have both feminine and twink. twinks' based on your sims physical fat and fit stats and whether or not they have body and facial hair, while fem and masc are based on a hidden commodity that gets set by the CAS preferences when your sim first spawns and can be affected by their interactions (which can be turned off). Drag queen gets added based on what the sims is wearing, so it they've got femine hair, clothing and shoes, it'll add that trait. if your sim wasn't wearing those clothes when it got added than there might be something going on there. 2
femboigaymer Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 OK, have been playing a few hours with a brand new save, carefully adding and messing with different sims to see if I could find a tipping point. First was a hetero sim couple with a child. No problems. Started getting the guy to get flirty with other men, no problems. Then I added a gay guy with male fashion pref, and no issues (though I didn't test extensively with him). Next I added a gay male sim with female fashion pref and discovered that this triggers recurring callback errors for the DragQueen trait. Log and Sim Details attached. Still, hadn't encountered any sim lag yet until I went to a gay spa and went through WickedWhims' interaction menu to set an NPC to be a top. I'm guessing the script wanted to autoassign a top/bottom/switch trait that entered into a conflict loop with this sim. Unfortunately I didn't think to get his details, but I'll keep trying to repro and will post log if successful. **PS: I just set up a new fem sim and in CAS set him up to be a bottom via Archetypes' Likes/Dislikes, and in WW he was set up as a top. Swapped it in WW and no issues so far. Quote as for the traits of your sim, a sim can have both feminine and twink. Yep, I discovered this on this new save. What's strange is that in the first instance it only had fem, no twink. Maybe the script hadn't gone through all the way. Quote fem and masc are based on a hidden commodity that gets set by the CAS preferences when your sim first spawns and can be affected by their interactions (which can be turned off). Lots of questions here, lol! First, what interactions make a sim more Masc/Fem? Is this configured in CAS Likes/Dislikes? On there I only see "Let traits [do X]" and can't see anything Masc/Fem except for attraction. Also, these in Likes/Dislikes are all ternary options (smile (on) / frown (off) / neither (default)), is the default on? MCCC_SimDetails_Smartie Like'cosplay_Jul13_133532.log mc_lastexception.html 2
femboigaymer Posted July 15, 2023 Posted July 15, 2023 (edited) Hi again! I think there's a high chance it's related to the Drag Queen trait. For one, I keep getting random exceptions from it; and I noticed that it was easier to get the simLag to happen if there were a lot of crossdressing sims on the lot, but now I've somehow triggered it with a single sim in his home lot. He had feminine clothing preference on, and when I turned it off in MCCC->CAS and returned to the game it started lagging hard. Closed the game, opened it back and immediately got an error log for the trait, and the lag remains. To my knowledge he's not wearing anything female-coded at the moment. Sending files. Hopefully this helps figure out the problem! Edit: managed to debug the drag queen error, it keeps trying to do a callback to something called SizeQueen that appears to be missing. I'm guessing it's related to BDP, which I removed a long time ago and I don't quite remember why. I'd try throwing it in to see if that solves the issue, but I accidentally fried my mod folder doing compat testing, so I gotta get that fixed first. That said, before frying the folder, I did remove that trait's reference from the .package file, which took care of the logged error, but did not resolve the simLag. mc_lastexception - masc solo 2.html MCCC_SimDetails_Mitchell Connolly_Jul14_174457.log mc_lastexception - masc solo.html Edited July 15, 2023 by femboigaymer
Chris Pyre Posted July 15, 2023 Author Posted July 15, 2023 size queen is my bad, forgot to remove that when i removed the other bdp interactions. I don't think simulation lag is connected to the drag trait necesarily because i have it happen without them. (I'm doing a lot of play testing with my muscle mod right now and i get it at least once every couple hours) It's usually just triggered initially by having a lot of sims on one lot, and can carry over to other lots once it starts up. Also be sure to delete your cache files because starting the game up again and starting new games in rapid succession can make it more likely to trigger it. Like i said, it's a base game sims error that is likely being exacerbated by my lot traits starting situations, as things like adding traits are connected to something totally seperate. I do have a suspicion wicked whims is involved (or how my mod interacts with it is) as it tends to pop up when sims are cruising (in my experience). I'll take a look at the the CAS preferences for top and bottom. Might just have my numbers mixed up in those settings. I'm also going to make the "masculine" and "Feminine" activitives buff visible, as the interaction lists for both are pretty extensive and it will be easier to give real time feedback. One example off the top my head i the treadmill push sims towards fem, while the workout machine pushes your sims towards masc. 2
femboigaymer Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 (edited) Thanks for the info, and for being so on top of this! I will keep the sizequeen reference out for now, then! Also, I managed to wrangle my gajillion mods today and found something linked to the simLag - a random eyeshadow CAS part. I've only tested with one save so I'll have to test a bit more to make sure it's not a fluke, but it would seem it really doesn't like GayArchs, which is wild. Maybe there's some weird data collisions? I dunno. Will look into it maybe tomorrow and post an update if I find anything. Either way, I'll keep this info you shared in mind while in-game. Quote I'm also going to make the "masculine" and "Feminine" activitives buff visible, as the interaction lists for both are pretty extensive and it will be easier to give real time feedback. This is an awesome idea and I look forward to it. Will be super helpful to get some more visibility into how the mod's working; plus it'll be a lot of fun to help guide my sims towards their goals. PS: celebrated too soon. While that one item of makeup guarantees one particular save's lag, an older save is still lagging without it. At least the new folder structure makes testing a good bit easier. Edited July 16, 2023 by femboigaymer
chicharon95 Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Hi! I'd like to use this mod but when I made my sim, the Top, Vers and masculine traits were assigned to him, even when I didn't want them to. I assume it's because of his musculature in CAS? I tried to remove the traits using cheats, which worked for a moment but they immediately applied again. Is there a way to remove those traits? i can't seem to get to them from MCCC or CAS. Thanks! 1
Benjamin9763 Posted August 29, 2023 Posted August 29, 2023 Hi, great mod. And love to see more coming. Just one quick question, is there a way to tune down the "need fiber" moodlet, like it shows up all the time. Even eat salad all days can't fix that.

LovelessOne Posted September 2, 2023 Posted September 2, 2023 This seems pretty fun, but it's kinda broken. Or it makes everyone some kind of gay and I just didn't notice... I had twin boys that aged up from kids to teens. I made one gay in the cas settings, plus I fiddled with one of the settings in likes and dislikes. He got a Post-puberty and Bi trait, even though he's not interested in women by setting. but okay. But the brother... I made the brother straight by cas settings. He got a Straight a Closeted trait. Like, how? Why? He also got Prefers masculine... So I tried to fiddle with those two settings in likes and dislikes in cas and he ended up with Straight, Closeted, Prefers masculine, Feminine and Bottom. The last three were lost, thankfully, because I didn't save the game... So I came to a conclusion, that I'll use this mod only when I'll be in a mood for a different type of game play.

Be sure to turn off the exploring setting as the game treats it as the Og unrestricted sexualit, which the mod then assigns as bi. I'll take a look at the other settings to make sure everything is working as in tended but generally the mod is based on woohoo settings. If woohoo for men is turned on but not romance that'll give them closeted. 1
nihilistaesthete Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Is there a setting to opt out of sims being automatically assigned these traits? I love the idea of playing with these traits, but my sims keep getting traits added to them that don't make any sense and when I delete the trait it just gets added back when I load the save.
bloodystar Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 This is a really cool mod, thanks for working on this! When I was using this I saw how the different archetypes respond to eachother and think it makes my game a lot more interesting since I mainly have gay sims lol. Not sure if this has been brought up but I saw others posting ideas... would you consider working on something like a dating/hookup app/site sims could use from their phone or computer? I was thinking something like personals where sims posts ads to meet and can respond to eachother. And then different gays would respond differently and have preference (and or could set their own preferences too) to the types they will meet. And a sims relationship status could impact how it's used etc. Like if in a relationship they would be risking their relationship while someone single could freely use the app. And maybe even anonymous sims that meet up where scenarios happen and they recognize eachother and are embarrassed or mortified lol. Just some ideas that came to mind, I realize this might be an entirely different mod add on but I thought it could be a way to expand the interactions more. Regardless keep up the good work!
Jonnsmith156 Posted September 21, 2023 Posted September 21, 2023 I love the concept of this mod but it can be pretty frustrating in practice. I have a sim that dresses in feminine clothing and wears make up, but the mod keeps on removing the femboy and feminine traits from him and keeps putting him as very masculine.
