CaptainJ03 Posted October 24, 2022 Posted October 24, 2022 What happens if you heed the warning and move you FNIS installation from your weird path to Data/tools where FNIS obviously expects itself to be? 1
xanathous Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 wait now it says no male or female directory and everyone is t-posing...

It already said that according to your first post. And that's not an issue, not every animation must go into these folders. T-pose are usually caused by incompatible hkx files, which means you installed a mod containing animation files for LE. This is very easy to spot (FNIS will give you a literal warning like the one you already got, pointing to the incompatible files) and also easy to fix (you simply remove the mod containing said files and get a version of the mod in question ported for SE). Without the full FNIS log it's hard to say anything more specific.
xanathous Posted October 24, 2022 Author Posted October 24, 2022 (edited) oh. okay then. so is there a version of zaz thats updated to ae? bc it says its Special edition but apparantly my game version is 1.6.640 which is updated to the anniversary edition? ive just had a bit of confusion when downloading mods bc the ones for SE are like 1.6.3 or something... man i wish skyrim would stop re-releasing it turns the modscape into a labyrinth. Â So should i get that downgrader tool for reverting the update and startover with all the mods or is it worth trying to find a way through? Thank you btw. Edited October 24, 2022 by xanathous
Just Don't Posted October 25, 2022 Posted October 25, 2022 (edited) The only mods that need a specific exe/SKSE versions are the ones containing a DLL file. In which case said file can fail to load during the SKSE launching phase. This has nothing to do with FNIS or animations, at all. For all intended purposes if a mod was ported or released for SE it works in AE too, exceptions are mods with DLL files in which case you'll want to install the specific release for your game and SKSE versions. If you have any warning or error messages in FNIS address them, if you want to go the extra mile for this you can enable one of the "patches" in FNIS (something like HKX compatibility check), that will scan every hkx file in your game/mods to verify there are no incompatibilities there. And again, without the full log it's really hard to say if this is the extend of your issue or if you're having other problems interfering with your animations. Edited October 25, 2022 by Just Don't
