Juamplo Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 I have a problem, the mod never activates in the mcm menu, i already unistall make a clean save and install again and the problem is still there, any idea what can i do?
WCSC Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 Defeat's been pretty consistent for me but after starting a new game my followers are just outright killing NPC's during battle. They used to spare them and have their way, but that's very rare. 95% of the time it's just slay. Any ideas why, or what to do to correct?

Overpowered followers tend to hit opponents so hard that they rarely land in the "rape" percentage of health. Before the last hit they are above the percentage you have set and after the hit they are dead most of the time.
WCSC Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 I've been using Nexus Mod Manager and today I got a notice to upgrade, I did so and it asked me update what looked like file paths and it ended up uninstalling all my mods wth??? So I've spent some time reinstalling all my mods and for defeat i'm getting an error when trying to run the FNIS for users. When it comes to reading defeat it says "ERROR(2001):..\Generate FNIS for Users\AnimVars.txt. does not exist" Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? thanks

I cannot get Mjoll or Jordis to follow anymore since they were knocked down or about to be forced, they can follow but won't move. So this sucks, tried disabling the mod and sending them home but they still stand there.

You can get to it by either pressing the 0 key (that's zero) when no action is going on, or in MCM under general.

NeatLL Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 I am sure that Goubo is working on some of the bugs that are being mentioned, they were in the big list I posted a bit ago. 5.1 is an all new mod instead of continuing the mod that got to 4.somthing. He stated the reasons for doing this, but it means there is some things that need ironing out to make it work. I have two saves that have it working alright, and one that is really buggy and sometimes works... maybe. Once he has time, I am sure that the mechanisms that trigger events will be cleared up and hopefully work well with the new Sexlab. You agree, Goubo? I am working on it sure, I plan to make an update to fix major problems first asap, we'll see after this. can someone please give me a link to V5.b3 this one is giving me CTD's on load (yes i can start new games and i can play them, but even if i save this new game i can't load it) Defeat V5b3.3fixed.rar Could you please make your beta available under V5.1.0 as a main download?

jemand69 Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 Is there a way in Defeat 5.1 to get one of the following results: - I am playing a male char. I dont really want to get defeated. But I always have Lydia with me. Can the mod be set up in a way that stuns me as soon as my follower gets downed (so i can keep the recommended "all down" setting), leading to her get attacked? I know is possible to uncheck the NPCvsNPC setting which requires all hostiles to be downed, but that does not work properly. - Another possibilty would be to stun my companion when i am downed and then make sure they are only interested in my companions. It seems to get this to work, id have to enable getting defeated as the player and then have a 100% chance they ask for my follower (in case of me giving up) or going straight to my follower (in case of getting downed) and ignore me. Is there any way to get either of the two behaviours to work?

MK66 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Hi, I have a problem: I can't surrender. When my character HP reach 0, an event can happen and all seems normal. But when i press the key ("k" in my case), well, the combat stop, but all agressors do nothing, they just return to their buisness for like 20 second (something like that), my character can't move. They become hostile again and there is just no way to surrender. I tried to clean the mod, restart it, unistall and install it again, it slove nothing. Does anyone have the same problem?
DragonOverkill Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 my follower refuses to be assaulted. she can assualt and can be assaulted by creatures but she will not be assaulted by bandits. she is given the order to start the animation and nothing happens. she stays on the ground and the bandit just looks at her. can someone pls help me!

I decided to remove this mod for now. Simply unstable. If "cleanup" doesn't make NPCs walk again, 1. make them essential, 2. 'kill' from console command. 3. 'resethealth' command 4. NPC will stand up and walk again. VERY ANNOYING. Well, I just removed this mod for good.

All I get is a messed up General menu where half the items are prefaced with "$", and under that all the sub-menus are either blank or only have a non-interactive word "Disabled" in them... The mod is enabled in what I can see of the General menu but it doesn't function in any way. None of my modified Defeat keys work, and neither do any of the defaults. SkyUI, Fus Ro, FNIS, and obviously SL Framework are all up-to-date.

By downloading it, double clicking it, starting a game, going into the MCM menu, activating it, leaving the MCM waiting for alert stating it's ready, going back into the MCM, setting the values I want to use, leave the MCM, and play the game. Sorry but there is no magic way of "getting it to work". It just does. One note, do not merge with 5.1.0. 5b3.3 is the previous version. If you are wanting to use this on a save with 5.1.0 already installed, then you will need to uninstall 5.1.0 (not sure if there is an in-game uninstall), then you will have to run a save cleaner and remove all instances of Defeat 5.1.0 in the save, then install 5b3.3. And I don't actually suggest doing that because frankly there is no truly safe way of removing any mods with running scripting from a save. Cleaning saves usually works, but is not guaranteed to work on all saves. Your best bet - start a new game. Look, everybody's install is different and I have no clue what mods you have, what heavy scripted mods you've got slamming your papyrus. I have no clue what mods you have merged together that make be conflicting with Defeat, or anything else. $ usually means translation files are missing. I play the English language version, are you play another language in which there is no translation? Anything else and you'll need to provide more info (papyrus logs, load order, etc).

After the clean install didn't work I just thought it might help to retain my settings, so I gave it a try... My issue seems like an MCM thing, and I keep thinking that if only I could get the menu to work then the mod might too. Anyway I'll keep plugging away at it until a new beta or something drops.

Anyway.. i read up about this mod and thought it'd be an interesting thing to try out.. so i installed it last night. So far as i know, i have everything in the MCM menu set up correctly, the mod is 'checked' in the mod list... so it should work right? Well... not exactly Turns out, when i ran into a forsworn camp to 'test' out the mod... the Forsworn had no trouble knocking away my health..... but i was never actually 'knocked down' or 'attacked'. My health droped down to 0... and i had the 'pulsing' low health screen effect... but i seemed to suddenly be invulnerable. I had 0 health.. but i could still run around and attack and kill enemies.. all while being hit/shot/flamed.... but i never fell over, never died.. Not quite what i was expecting to happen Has anyone had this happen with this mod befor? Any ideas on what might be causeing it? or how to fix it? ** quick edit ** Ok.. so i had just tried this two more times (intentionally letting myself get attacked). First time, i hit K on a whim (the give up key), when i got to the wierd 0 hp mark. The Mod then seemed to work mostly, as combat stoped, i couldnt move, and dialog was initiated. AFter some of the dialog, the bandit knocked me down/tied me up.. then assaulted my Follower. Seemed ok sofar. But, when i 'got up' after doing the little minigame, i was 'back' in the 0hp and unkillable stage (had actually stayed at that point durring the dialog as well) Second attempt.. the Bandit acted as if he was going to assault me.. and my character whent into its 'attacked' animation... but the bandit simply walked away and left me sitting there playing the animation/sounds.
