Cautiously optimistic here. Some disturbing developments with the original devs themselves I've read make me wonder if CDPR still have the magic. Love Geralt, but it's time for Ciri to shine imo.

About Witcher 4 overall:

Wary, yet hopeful. Wary because the people making the financial decisions about any even somewhat well-known franchise seem to prioritize squeezing out every last ducat above all else. Hopeful because they -CDPR- must still have some people who remember how and why they made 3.

About Ciri, Zireaeal, Cirella Fiona Elen Riannon:

Absolutely should be the main character. Would also like a different Voice for her. Just as Triss is distinctly American and Yennifer is high English, Ciri should have her own unique sound. French, German, Slavic, Nordic, Italian, Spanish, I don't know, but something other than low-middle English.

Nordic,

Please, not this. Heard enough of that accent in Skyrim. Also don't mind if they ditch American bastardized English either. :classic_tongue:

> This is going to sound strange but none of us doesn't like to hear Asians speaking English with perfect American accent. We are aware that most probably they were born in the US and that their voices are digitized, but the sound doesn't go into our ears. Also, sorry, Kool, but we like Nords' English accent in Skyrim :D

I have a high degree of distrust with CD projekt after the disappointment that cyberpunk was but my opinion with the witcher 4 is that they should leave Geralt retired and create a new protagonist, why is this:

- one of the endings of the witcher 3, ciri becomes empress, how is she going to leave this position to be a the witcher again? because then there will have to be canon endings, so there will be people who will complain because they would like the ending the witcher 3 to be whatever the player wanted (my ending for example is that ciri became a witcher, geralt chose yennefer, Letho and the two characters from the blue stripes are alive and the others too ), but not everyone, unfortunately, played the two games prior to tw3 (out of laziness, I can only think these reason  about it because I played and finished the two previous games and they are great).

- Geralt is old and him returning to the scene would force the bar as it happens in assassins creed revelations, ezio with 50 years old doing things that only a person of 18 - 30 years old could do.

- risk of the story being saturated if the old characters return, returning one or the other as a mention or easter egg or even secondary character is good, but returning old  main characters risks making the story tiring and boring.

so, i think it can be a good game (cd projekt's redemption arc) but it shouldn't return the main characters of geralt's trilogy.

> As for me, I would leave three main protagonists, Geralt, Yen and Ciri and dismiss all ones from W3 except Anna Henrietta ... :D It is time for Geralt to marry Yen and have children with her, go in adventures with Ciri, have affair with A. H., train and lead new witchers and forget about Triss (she was killed in witch hunt ;)  )

at the end of the dlc, Yennefer and Geralt are living together and both Yennefer and Geralt are incapable of having biological children, so theoretically their daughter is ciri or they would have to adopt another child. The character Anna Henrietta is very well done, the artist who made her is to be congratulated. What's your problem with Triss? T-T, I played in chronological order and having to turn down triss in the third game was hard, but yennefer is nicer and more compatible with Geralt.

> I know they can't have a children, but would make it possible by using the magic since Yen is very good magician. :)

> Triss has better character then Yen who is very explosive but we simply didn't like her hairstyle. We saw some art remake of her and she looked fantastic, although Yen is more beautiful and hotter.

> My Prince played the game on all difficulty levels and he always turned Triss down. My both luvs says that Yen is very close to me by character and beauty, and my Prince and I agrees that Ciri is same as my Ivy. That's why I used them in my banner as the representatives of three of us ... well, I removed Yen since I often change my avatar. :)

Umm... really Eva? Yenn didn't love anyone but herself really. She did care for Geralt, but even that she suspected was because of some magical fuckery via one slippery djinn. :classic_biggrin:

Personally I would rather they set it much earlier and let you create your own character, even if they do it in a similar manner to V in CP2077.
TW3's last DLC pretty much closed the book on Geralt's Story, I felt.

> Good idea, but as someone said earlier that having old Geralt might be a good too, like returning to fight new (old) evil and defending the world  again. Something similar to Max Payne. After he does it, I would like to see W5 in which your suggestion: creating your own character :)

P.S. saying this I am not saying my ideas are better then yours or anyone else's, I rather share my thoughts about Witcher game that I learned to like thanks to my Prince who truly enjoyed playing it.
