I will simply say I enjoy this mod. The Scolipede in particular is an odd and interesting choice, but it's quite good.

I am trying to figure out how to get Critterbang to work with Sexbound - The Pygophilia Upgrade , and while scrolling through the main page, I came across this:

"

UPDATE REGARDING CRITTERBANG

Surprisingly, it's a fairly easy fix to make Critterbang compatible, however you will need to unpack Critterbang, and go into the following directory

Starbound\mods\SxB - CritterBang!\artwork

and delete the "defaults" and "humanoid" folders.

I'll try and find a less jank way of fixing it in the future."

I have little idea on how to unpack Critterbang to do this fix.

Any ideas?

Well, there's apps like PAKit, that let you pak/unpak .pak files.

For unpaking though, I just use a simple .bat file

Make a text file in the starbound assets folder, then copy and paste this into it:

@echo off
echo Unpacking .\assets\packed.pak into .\assets\unpacked\
echo This may take a long time.
start /wait /min ..\win32\asset_unpacker.exe .\contents.pak "UnpackedAssets"
echo Done.
pause

Rename the text file into a .bat file (unpack.bat or something similar).

Copy the CritterBang!.pak file into the assets folder and rename it to contents.pak

(The reason for the name is because Steam uses contents.pak for all of it's workshop files.)

Then just run the .bat file, and it'll unpak it into the new UnpackedAssets folder.

Job done.

Edit:

Uh, remember to move the contents.pack and UnpackedAssets folder somewhere else before running Starbound again though.

Is something wrong with the latest version of Critterbang? I have no mods that are incompatible with it but it just doesn't work (even if I just use it and the mods it needs to be able to run, it just crashes the game whenever I launch it)

CritterBang still seems to be coded for the legacy version of Sexbound, and not Sexbound Reborn...

I've been hoping that the mod author would have gotten around to fixing this by now, but no joy yet, it seems...

Mod should work for both, it in theory doesn't use any special feature of Reborn *yet*.

However, of course, i can't offer help without being informed.

A log from your game after trying to use the mod would be preferable, as it'd have the information to know what's up with your game crashing.

The copy-pasta:

Quote

So, to better report issues, try providing a description of the issue and recreating the issue in-game, then providing a log file.

To find the log file, it should be within your Starbound installation directory, then the storage folder. You should see a text file named starbound.log (Or simply starbound, a plain text file). Paste it into your response as a attached file, or use PasteBin, whichever you prefer. Then users can look into your issues with the necessary information at hand.

<Just please don't post the whole thing as text here>

Just added CritterBang back in to my mod folder to test it, and it does seem to be working now...

I haven't used it for a while, since it had a conflict with the older SBR sextalk system

All seems to be working now though. Sorry for complaining while relying on out-of-date information!

Just quick question. Does male Cynder have any animations for where they are doming the player? It does not give the option to swap positions when interacting with them.

While the mod does work, it is still doing that thing where it can't load certain frames, such as player's heads and sometimes even the critters themselves after climax.

There's a lot of "Could not load image asset" messages in the logfile, but I'm not tech savvy enough to know how to remedy the issue...

Anyone have any ideas?

I am unsure if this is the correct place to ask, but why are the critters disappearing after taking arousal damage? Is there a way to disable the damage taken from arousal? Sorry if this is a asinine question, but I cannot bang the critters for more than 11 seconds before they despawn

Just remove the pheromones mod that makes those explosions in the first place. The pink queefs that deal damage to literally everything are not normal.

So, POV redux breaks this mod, what to do?

Do tell me more...

Somehow I managed to fix it, the only problem is, is that I don't know which of a different mod did the fix

Just letting you know that I've discovered a bug where the player character's face becomes invisible after climax. Is that supposed to happen?

so i've come across this issue as well, and through some fiddling and independent DIY debugging i think ive figured out the problem: its the "Default Masks" in the defaults folder in the artwork section of the mod files. My best guess, based on pure conjecture, is that it has something to do with the size of the mask image of this mod not matching up with the mask image in the sexbound root folder. Removing the defaults folder from the CritterBang! mod folder (after unpacking the file using the unpack tool in starbound's source files) seems to have fixed the issue on my end, and as far as i can tell from what ive tested, removing it hasnt seemed to have broken anything, though the mod author themself may have to verify that further. hope this helps!

I found it easier to add in the missing frames, I had to add in an extra 6 frames. Glad to hear your solution worked for ya.
