ryanwinch Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 My game was running fine my ENB and mods all working great, then I installed the Dark Desires Club Mod and the mods needed for that mod to work. Since doing that all NPCs have a black face? Their bodies and hands etc. are all the correct complexion but the faces for some reason are like a slider for complexion has been moved all the way to dark black? Does anyone know how I can fix this or had a similar problem? Any help is much appreciated!
Gukahn Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 When this happens, it's almost always a Load Order problem or a Mod Conflict. There are a few Things you can do. First check the Load order of those new Mods, are they in the correct order. Does the requirement mods load before the mods who needs them? Second: Does another mod do something with those NPC's, altering them in any way? You can check that in SSEdit, that's what I do. I mostly delete files that aren't needed if I ran 2 replacers that middle with same NPC's. Or you can try to install this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/42441 Never needed to use it. But many say it works wonders 1
KoolHndLuke Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Mod conflict like Gukahn said. You can also patch those npc files in X-edit if you know how.
Fiend71 Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Yes, as was mentioned, it can be fixed. Basically, it's anything that alters the NPCs facegeom, or even touches it. Try changing an NPCs eye colour without CK...lol The mods you added must be screwing with in some way. So, you can do as Gukahn said, and find what mods alter any given NPC, then make sure everything's the same for each iteration, or just create a patch, like KoolHndLuke said. OR get an NPC replacer, and have it overwrite everything...lol
