dcook7 Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 Hello lovers lab community, I have recently downloaded a few of the mods on the site in the interest of making my next oblivion playthrough a bit more erotic. However, I have unfortunately been saddled with several tedious bugs that unfortunately ruin the entire experience. I was hoping you all would help me sort them out. To cut to the chase, the specific problems I am encountering are primarily related to missing animations, when my character interacts with an npc they are intended to have a sexual encounter with, there is a significant change that rather than play an animation it will simply play the SFX for an animation while both character models merge into one another in default standing poses. If this happens I am never re-given control over my character even after the 'animation' concludes and I must- in the best case, reload a save, and in worst case, reboot the entire game in order to fix it. I have done my best to follow the install instrucitons outlined in the readme files of each mod, though some exceptions have been made where I was unable to do so, most likely because the instructions were outdated. Below are listed the mods I am attempting to run along with a further description of the issues in question and troubleshooting undertaken already. Mods used: OMM OBSE 22.61 Robert Male Body Replacer V52 OMOD HGEC Body with BBB v1dot12 NoMaaM BBB Animation Replacer V3_1 OMOD UniversalSkeletonNIF181 (Control Version) Blockhead Oblivion Character Overhaul v203 Colourwheels Sexy Stock Armor and Clothing Replacer HGEC v3 (this one doesn't seem to be working but also causes no crashes) RogueMages Daily Income Revised -------------------------------------------- LAPF - version 1.6a1 LoversEncounter (aslo doesn't seem to be working but no major crashes directly associated with it) LoversHooker - Dukky LoversRaperS LoversSlaveTrader LoversCreatures2.5 (Main file, Meshes, Textures, and all available plugins/addons) As I have already done a fair amount of troubleshooting on my own, I can confirm the game runs fine and is stable when only running the mods above the dotted line, it is only after the LoversLab mods are introduced that potential crashes and bugs occur. Apart from the aformentioned animation locks, there are also to .esp files associated with the above mods that I am unable to activate without an instant crash on startup, specifically: 'LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP_HookerPatch.esp' and 'LoversIdleAnimsPriority_MOO.esp' each associated with LoversHooker and LoversCreatures2.5 respectively. When these two .esps are disabled the game seems to run fine apart from the animation bugs mentioned. It is worth mentioning that I have also been trying to run 'BravilUnderground' and 'LoversHorseRider2 fenjeea ed.' but given I have been unable to get the required mods for each to run smoothly I have yet to be able to realistically troubleshoot either of these. Generally I have followed the install readme instructions for each mod, with the only major departures being in LAFP where it recommends deleting everything in the data/ini folder prior to installing it, however, on a fresh oblivion instal there is no data/ini folder for me and it is only created when future mods are added. The other exception to the recommended instal instructions being that outlined by LoversRapeS which specifies it be placed after a voice mod that no longer seems to be availible and is not listed as a requirement. As such I do not have the specified voice mod installed. Apart from these two instances, I have followed each mod's readme instructions. Attatched is the specific load order I am running, please let me know if there are any obvious errors or potential fixes for my issues. thanks, dcook
LongDukDong Posted July 27, 2022 Posted July 27, 2022 (edited) Many things can go into ruining the whole LAPF experience. So why not let us jump headlong into the first step, how you installed LAPF itself, shall we? For this, allow me to present to you the actual instructions on LAPF installation... in a spoiler of course. These are my instructions, only slightly revised because NexusMods changed their url-thread layout after the 2013 instructions were made. Spoiler DO NOT INSTALL IN THE C:\PROGRAM FILES, C:\PROGRAM FILES(x64), C:\PROGRAM FILES(x86) or any version thereafter. MAKE YOUR OWN FOLDER! Certain required required plugins will NOT work within those folders. PERIOD! Required plugins: OBSE: Oblivion Script Extender: https://www.obse.silverlock.org/ This extends the capabilities of Oblivion modding, and used within LAPF and various mods Recommended Tools: Wyre Bash - Galgat recommends version 295 found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/oblivionworks/files/Wrye Bash/Wrye Bash 295/ And it is his opinion it is the ultimate in Mod Installation and Management. Oblivion Mod Manager (OBMM) version 1-1-12 Full: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/2097 OBMM is not quite as versital as Wrye but it is occasionally needed if you have to install a plugin that is in OMOD format. Recommended plugins: Pluggy version 132: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/23979 Pluggy is an OBSE plugin that adds functions to Oblivion. Depending on what LPK plugins you may install you "may" need to rename the dll file from "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy.dll" to "OBSE_Elys_Pluggy_HUD.dll". Elys Universal Silent Voice: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/16622 This plugin keeps the subtitles from blitzing by too fast for you to read them. MenuQue: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/32200 This plugin adds more OBSE functionality in support of some LPK and other plugins. After installing the above tools, the next step is to install these plugins prior to the Lovers Animated Penis Framework (LAPF): 1. Male and Female Nude Body Plugins: For Males: RobertsMaleBodyReplacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/40532 By default, LAPF uses Robert's Muscular body. Alternate Robert's body versions are available in the "Alternate Male Body Pack". For Females: HGEC Body with BBB: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/34442 NOTE: This is an OMOD file so you will need to use OBMM to either install it or extract it to a temp location to install it manually! By default, LAPF uses the LL lower body and most animations are based on H-Cup for arm/hand positions. I also recommend grabbing the HGEC GM Type with Roberts Feet: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/9488-rel-hgec-gm-type-with-roberts-feet/ Also called the HGEC Foot Fix, it changes blocky toes into more natural looking ones. (Finding thanks to Fejeena) Please remember to select the "No Animations" option if you plan on installing NoMaam's BBB animations (step 3). If you wish to use DMRA then grab the "Alternate Female Body Pack" and switch out the lovers meshes with it. I don't have a particular DMRA body link that I recommend. Pretty much any of them from the Nexus or Lovers Lab should be fine. You can also install the Setbody Reloaded made by Gerra6 here: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/13908-setbody-reloaded/ Or optionally the Setbody Blockhead Edition found at nexus by our own movomo: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/45868 Unfortunately there are issues with these. LAPF does not support multiple body types so you may be left with gaps or seams when sex animations kick in. If you can live with this then by all means run (not walk) over and grab the plugin. 2. Growlf's Universal Skeleton! Install Universal Skeleton Nif: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/37596 NOTE: You will be overwritting a portion of this when you install LAPF so don't panic. The portions LAPF overwrites handles extra 'bones' within the meshes. AND ... if you mess with, or replace the LAPF skeletons, you get penis stretching issues! Again, install THIS first, then let LAPF's skeleton overwrite. 3. BBB animations. Galgat recommended NoMaaM BBB Animation Replacer: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/35551 Now you need to use either Wrye or OBMM to archive invalidate via Bsa Redirection. Optionally, you may also archive invalidate with SkyBSA found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/49568 If you do not know how then just read this: https://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Oblivion_Mods_FAQ#BSA-redirection The above link is a handy reference link for those just starting out modding. It contains all sorts of good information. DO NOT use "ArchiveInvalidation Invalidated" from the Nexus. That is a very old mod and not considered the current standard. 4. (Optional but Recommended): Delete all 1 to 200 ini files found in Oblivion\data\ini\ This will ensure that only AP ready animations will be played. Alternatively if deleting stuff makes you cringe (I completely understand that it may) just move the 1 to 200 numbered ini files to a backup folder somewhere. 5. LAPF Finally you are ready to install LAPF. You can manually install by extracting to a temp location and dragging the files and folders to: Oblivion\data\ Alternatively you can create an OMOD file with OBMM or a Bain file with Wrye. 6. OPTIONAL If you use DR 6 or UV 2 or some other plugin that uses 3rd person animations in 1st person view then give the LAPF Enhanced 1st Person Skeleton a try. It was made by Supierce and can be found here: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/37432-lapf-enhanced-1st-person-skeleton/ OBVIOUSLY, first thing here: Oblivion can NOT in the Program Files path. That breakes OBSE itself. Second, the tools and plugins like OBSE, third the bods, fourth is Growlf's skeleton for its severe flexibility, fifth is BBB animations, sixth (optional) is the removal of certain ini files, seventh is the installation of LAPF itself (its skeleton system overwriting Growlf's). Remember... LAPF requires its own skeletons for use. Installing Growlf after LAPF is a big mistake. NEXT would be your mod order. You listed the mods you have, but not their order. Order is key and placement critical. Quite often, there are those that assume auto-sorting systems do a good job, but that is wrong. There is a hierarchy that must be followed. To find the 2013 recommended mod order list, check the yellow link in my signature. The recommended mod order may be nearly a decade old, but it is quite valid, and notes where even mods undefined in the list would go. For example, overhauls like MOO or OOO would load after your DLC plugins and before any LAPF mods, Tamago mods load just before LAPF mods, and the LoversAnimPriority mods are the last to load... period. HOWEVER, there are many mods on the list that require SPECIFIC placement... be advised that you do need to follow it. Needless to say, your mod order, if that's what I saw above, is seriously off. The Idle anims near the top should be last, ObjectsPriority the very last. xLCR is unnecessary as the instructions/helpfile states (it is for debugging only). And even the order of your DLCs is off. You would really do well to read the mod order in the link. If you're using WyreBash, do not BASH Lovers and Lovers-related mods... ever. And Lovers (and related) mods MUST be manually sorted regardless of what manager you are using. Edited July 27, 2022 by LongDukDong

dcook7 Posted July 28, 2022 Author Posted July 28, 2022 Thanks for such a detailed reply and apologies if these are fairly rookie mistakes. However, I did try completely reinstalling everything from the ground up and adjusting my load order according to your linked example, but it only seemed to fix a few very minor issues with many of the main problems persisting and even a few new ones cropping up (now, even though I didn't install LAPF until after Growlf's skeletons, I started getting the elastic penis issue for some models despite not encountering the error before, however it does seem that Lovers Encounter is now working so I guess that is a win). The main issue remains however, that is completely missing animations for certain poses that leave me locked in free cam until I completely close the game and reload the save. I didn't use many of the optional files you mentioned in the interest of trying to keep the process down to the essential components only (skipped the feet/ankle fix for example). The only recommended steps/addons I avoided were pluggy (just thought my modding would be simple enough not to mandate it, though I will try reinstalling again with it included next time) and I was once again unable to find an ini folder to delete files from as recommended since that folder only seems to be created and populated by mods after the installation of LAPF and other mods, so there was nothing to delete. Apart from that I'm not sure what I am missing. I'll post a new image below of my reorganized load order but am scratching my head as to what is causing the issue. Like before, I am unable to activate either "LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP_HookerPatch.esp" or "LoversIdleAnimPriority_MOO.esp" without causing an immediate crash on startup. The only other way I could image trying would be to use WyreBash rather than OMM, though given I have had previous experience with OMM and none with Wyre I was hoping I could stick to using it, and I feel like that shouldn't be causing major issues like those I am encountering. Just to make it crystal clear the order I am installing some of the fundamental mods I will detail the install order below: 1) OMM 2) OBSE 3) Robert'sMaleBodyReplacer 4) HGEC BODY WITH BBB (selecting no animations) 5) Blockhead 6) Oblivion Character Overhaul 7) Growlf's Skeletons (using controllable skeletons) 8 No MaaM BBB Animation Replacer 9) LAPF 10) Colourwheel's Armor Replacer (still not seeming to work for some reason) 11) the other LoversLab Mods
fejeena Posted July 28, 2022 Posted July 28, 2022 Of course you can not use/activate "LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP_HookerPatch.esp" or "LoversIdleAnimPriority_MOO.esp" ! ! ! You do not have the master files. You want to use a patch for a mod you don't have. You need LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP ! And then the load order is LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp LoversHooker.esp LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP_HookerPatch.esp This is a patch for both mods above. And to use LoversIdleAnimPriority_MOO.esp you need MOO !!! (Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul) If you do not have the master Mods you do not activate the patches. And you should switch Lovers and Lovers creatures esp Load order Lovers with PK.esp LoversCreatures.esp LoversHorseRider2.esp And Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp after Lovers. Race Mods and most overhaults and companion Mods after Lovers. Oblivion.esm Lovers with PK.esm LoversCreature.esm DLCShiveringIsles.esp DLCHorseArmor.esp DLCOrrery.esp DLCVileLair.esp DLCMehrunesRazor.esp DLCSpellTomes.esp MaleBodyReplacerV5.esp Colourwheels Sexy Stock Armor & Clothing Replacer.esp ( all/most armor-clothing Mods between DLCSpellTomes and DLCThievesDen ) DLCThievesDen.esp DLCBattlehornCastle.esp DLCFrostcrag.esp Knights.esp RMDailyIncomeV2.esp LoversEncounter.esp LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP.esp ( if you want to use it ) LoversVoiceSSPplus.esp ( if you want to use it ) LoversRapers.esp Lovers with PK.esp LoversCreatures.esp LoversHorseRider2.esp LoversSlaveTrader.esp LoversHooker.esp ( if you want to use it ) LoversAdultPlayPlusforSSP_HookerPatch.esp ( if you want to use it ) Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp LoversMB2.esp LoversIdleAnimsPriority.esp LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp ------------------ And have you installed Oblivion right ? NOT in C : program files !!!! or tools like OBSE, pluggy, blockhead, ... may not work. Everything you need before you install LAPF : right installed game, OBSE, pluggy, nude body, mod sorting, . . . READ https://www.loverslab.com/topic/36443-oblivion-install-gametoolsbodiesbbbmod-sorting-and-cleaningcs-cse-body-stretching/?do=findComment&comment=915257 And game testing always with a new game ! Do not use a old save ! bugs can be in a save ! And saves often no longer work if the loading order has been changed significantly.
