NotWhoYouThinkIAmLmao Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Hey fuckers, I'm curious to see what everyone's geeky pleasure is. I know we've got a few weebs, a few poets, and some cooks on here. What's something that you could talk about for hours? What about it attracts you to it? Does it define you in any way? Mine is absolutely Warhammer. I play on tabletop and a ton of the video games. I get a kick out of the brutality and satirical elements used to mirror our absolute worst qualities in obscene displays of over the top violence and destruction. Something about the sanctity of life meaning nothing, but personal stories still being explored in such a dark world. I'd absolutely live in the universe of warhammer 40k, fuck, even fantasy. Nothing would thrill me more than diving in to fight some horror beyond my comprehension yelling wildly with reckless abandon.
Fiend71 Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 Space documentaries concerning black holes, the big bang, etc, since a lot of the time they're a total mind job for me (and have wicked-cool graphics), and fighter jets, because they're at the apex of technology, IMO (plus - they're freakin' fighter jets! C'MON)...lol

TT. Posted April 17, 2022 Posted April 17, 2022 It's not as extreme as WH40K, but boy it's still rough, both physically and psychologically. The first has more meaning, while the second has a better gameplay, and the third is just more realistic in its critic.

It'll sit on my wishlist until I've an influx of money.

I especially love creating new characters and adding them to the world I'm writing as it expands and improving the world's setting as well. / Unschooled Art, anything. If the individual making it learned on their own like I and built their own style instead of developing from what's taught at art schools, which I observed seem to deprive people from originality, sure, they're authentic in that they're genuinely themselves as artists but they rarely make truly mindblowing, new and original shit because most follow some school taught pattern of creation - again, sure, they make amazing and "mindblowing" stuff that amazes people but it's nothing really new usually and just achievements of doing big extravagant projects or whatever other flamboyant stuff that the average joe would obviously praise. I believe true originality isn't dead but dormant, rather, it lies in ignorance which spurs people to think and imagine new things that they've never seen before instead of being amazed by what the olden days' artists created and trying to mimic them, wearing their overused shoes to walk their roads to artistry. There are the exceptions that don't follow the "school proper" path, mind you, and good on them for it, I guess. I guess indeed. / Music, I got a small space in my art studio that's dedicated to music and I love just playing my jam on my axe with the big entrance of my studio open letting sound blast through, some friends join in and we make it a bit of a show whenever we get the passing people to form an audience and it's always amazing too, like, budget-mini-concerts of my own haha. I have a few original songs but I don't have dedicated recording gear other than my mic and I don't want to shuffle my home stuff back and forth even if I have enough space in my Hearse for the equipments so I wait and amass cash until I can afford more stuff, currently. / New strange innovative ways to have sex, but that's a given. Ever had sex doing bungee and not breaking anything? / *Might add new stuff that comes to mind eventually*
