Error uploading file

Update: Videos from my previous post finally uploaded when I compressed the file to low quality.

Now, trying to upload files to my "Kingfish's Sims" page and my "Kingfish's lots" page has continued to prove futile.  No matter the size of the file, site refuses to upload it on the first (read numerous) try.

Might I ask what the size of the files were at the time the upload succeeded?

Honestly, it seems more like a crapshoot. I’ve had files as small as 47 mb fail to upload. A file at 173 mb is rather average for the content that I make. I am currently struggling to upload a lot file of that size.

Upload success appears more based on dumb luck than a particular file size.

Seven attempts?  That's nice.

Problem is... I can't.  Even after twenty attempts.

7? Those are rookie numbers. I think I’ve surpassed 50 in the last two days. And that’s for mod files alone. With photos, it’s more than 100, guaranteed.

Has the mod of this site eve acknowledged that this is a problem?

Now I know this is taboo, and everybody is blaming their OS or Browser.

BUT!!  a month ago I was able to upload videos of my builds to my club.

                                             NOW

The upload goes to a certain level then stops, times out and I get the same error message as everyone else.

Now, I could be wrong, but it seems as if the forum is working on half power, as if the bandwidth was being limited.

That would not be so bad if we were told about it.

Is it just possible the problem is here on LL and not our individual systems

Also, the multiple attempts at unloading........

I was once told that doing the same thing that fails again and again  expecting a different result was the mark of insanity. ?

I have my doubts about browsers, too. Especially if other sites (with the same software) have no issues at the same time ?

Same here, if it was a browser issue then it would be consistent and it is not. Sometimes (as at the moment around 14:00 UK time) it runs perfectly well, other it grinds to a halt which indicates it's more likely to be load issues or problems with Cloudflare itself.

One thing I have noticed as I use a VPN to connect, if it runs poorly I disconnect and connect using a different location, often on the third attempt the site will then work perfectly again. Possibly a coincidence but it has worked a number of times for me now so may indicate a Cloudflare issue, but I'm guessing here.

I don't upload/download many files but when I've had problems I again found switching locations worked (in this case from England to Eire)

Agree with you and @worik about the browsers but I've just had a wait to get to LL (from BBC News) at 14:00 hrs PM o'clock. Not exactly snappy once inside the site.

Well, my fore-mentioned issue and fix suggested by  KoolHndLuke to sign-out and sign back in no longer works.  I do not use Chrome, and I had even tried uploading with (barf) Microsoft Edge.  Hell, I have no plugins installed, and even turned off my anti-virus and firewall, so that too is not the issue.

Of it not being browser related, I've repeated that.  For some reason, some people still believe otherwise.

So would it be more likely that the stringent settings assigned to CloudFlare would be the issue?  Whilst DDos Protection... it seems to be rather... harsh.

(THE ABOVE CONTENT .... I THOUGHT I POSTED YESTERDAY.  I GUESS I HIT ESC AND LEFT?)

Getting the "Error Code - 200" message when trying to update my Blog with videos.

Please do something. Not only is the site slow as f***. But now we can't upload anything.

Going to try the log off / log in thing and then another browser.

Had these problems when I started animating in 2018.

Be aware, of the two servers that LL uses, one is defective  and now taken offline.  The second defective server is also what caused the navigation slowdown for many members.  See my To Lovely Ashal thread which garnered attention on the issue.  Insofar as uploads... that is hit and miss at this point rather than full-on death.  At last, I am able to upload my own content, but there is still slowdown and possible time-outs until the second server is dealt with.  It is possible that the blogs were on the second server as well, which would explain much. Please be patient.
