Serana expanded dialogue and romancing - mod recommendation

You'll have three occasions to do it. My Prince loved to have drinks with her in the bar (animations followed the dialogues).

Yeah, it was pretty good actually, i finished Dawnguard with this mod on my previous character. I really enjoyed her voice, although when she started singing in a cave after banging her i counld't stand it so i had to put helmet on my head, which i never wear. I catched one writing error, sometimes she claims she never was in Winterhold, and sometimes she claims she was, but that is minor thing. What really started to annoy me later, is how supperior she is writted to be. "I am good at this at this and at this, and also everything else", it became unrealistic, i do not like that.  Also do not like that this is another 'knight in shining armor' follower, pure good, smiles, rainbows, praise the sun, despite being hunders years old vampire, raped by Molag Bal to death to became one. You would think that it left scars on your psyche. But no. I need some dark followers...

But hey at first glance it is really good mod and i am propably nitpicking. In fact i really enjoyed it, and i do reccomending it.

What he learned about her is that she is smart for she was reading a lot for hundreds of years since she is the vampire and she was alone. That's why she knows a lot about the world and she want to taste the life in fullness. Unlike Vanilla Serana wo is pushing her goal to end Harkon, this one is actually slowing Player down asking him to go to taverns, have nice conversations and similar. I like what my prince told me about the mod. Wish to play Skyrim sometimes, have this mod installed.

It is a really nice mod and very good written and acted out too. My only problem was that it was to fast. I played one of the early versions so i can't say anything about the additional features or how she reacts in Soltsheim or at the end of the main quest. (don't have it right now installed.)

For me her unique comments and npc chatter never really triggert, i feel like at some point she should've a real talk with Hulda or Maven (she claims to like maven but never really talked with her.)

 

For all its minor flaws, i liked it quite a bit, even if it felt off sometimes like moody132 said. And it's way to fast for my taste, i know you can pause dawnguards questline at some point in a more logical way.. But to me this questline has something urgent. Vampires are on their way, a crazy dude in his castle wants to find the elder scrolls, i can't just chill at the collage for serverall weeks.? then again, it's just taste.. It goes very well with some mods that make skyrim a bit more gruesome,because her story is a tragic one and the way she coops with it is sad. I imagine most of her sassyness is more protection then actually being meant to be funny.

 

(also, if she wanted to, she could kick my ass, harkons ass and probably alduins ass..? And she doesn't.. Never knew why)

Probably just a choice of mods. I made vampires way stronger then vanilla in general and gave her the queen of the damned mod. Probably made her very strong together, my Character couldn't keep up and wasn't as well equipped as her. Apart from that, it's a thought i had recently. I mean she is the (probably the second) oldest vampire in the game, she should be stronger then she shows even if she doesn't choose to transform. And she should be way more "Pure" then her father too, the didn't get violated by a godly being like her ?

That and everyone talks always about the daughters of coldharbor, not the sons. they exist for sure, lorewise sexuality and sex are very fluid when it comes to daedra but harkon is never called that. So i assume he just got the vampirism as a gift for his human sacrifice and only made the deal the moment Molag was done with his Wife and Daughter. (sick bastard..) None Combat reason why i think she is stronger then all mentioned is.. I mean i would've really mentally broke in her shoes..

SDA is a very impressive mod, but it's basically creating an entirely new waifu character than anything reflecting the background the game sets up for Serana or most of the vanilla material. I have always preferred Serana Dialogue Edit, no matter that it's old and its completion has been in limbo for years (the author of SDE, ThatGuyYeah, is still active and does work on it very occasionally, but he has a very demanding job).

 

Serana Relationship Reborn is looking very, very promising and I know the author is active and working on improving it (and planning for eventually patching it with SDE). I would keep an eye on that as the modder is intending for the mod to fit with the older Serana Dialogue Edit's style, which is less sunshine and booze parties than SDA.

Also, i forgot to say, i was finishing Dawnguard with Serana Dialogue Addon, and Amorous Adventures, and you can have both of thoose romance at same time without any conflicts at all, so you do not really need patch from SDA page. It just looks like Serana have split personality, because in one moment she 'loves' you by one mod and she does not by another, but hey, it is already weird with two different voices, so, whatever. And of course Admorous Adventures have great writing, at least for me, I started to laugh on dialogue with Valerica.

Love these massive, voiced follower mods. After playing Enderal, I realized how much long-term companions could add to the game. It's especially amazing when they interact with each other. The chatter makes the world feel more alive.

I finished it for the first time about year ago, it was amazing, dialogues and characters was great. banter between Alistar and Morrigan. pretty every character has actual personality, hell, i even liked Wynn. And i even liked gameplay, my bloodmage destroyed everything. I need to replay this immidietly. DA2 was well, i played as snarky female character, and again, voice acting and dialogues was cool. Rest of it not neceserry. I am still mad at DAI, I forced myself to finish it. Bard song about companion was cool.

Do yourself a favor and take alistair and Oghren with you from time to time, they are hilarious together. Oghren especially has some really funny lines with each of the other companions

Yeah Oghren and Zervan was really strong characters too, thats the problem with theese games, you would have to finish them with all combinations of companions too see every diagloue, and honestly i wouldnt mind to.

I remember dying of laugh with Oghren i think DLC scene when some girl asked him are you gonna do something or are you gonna just stare and drool and he owned this like 'i will stay with classic. staring and drooling.

Oghren and Zervan prison break. sidequest in elf woods with lovers. ENCHANTMENTS! so much memorable things.

I even plyed kotor 1&2 for the first time not so long time ago, very simlar games, still good. i think Mass Effect Trilogy was last good BioWare 'game'

 

btw, Try Divinity Oryginal Sin 2 if you hadnt played it yet, really good game, also with characters with actual personality, great humor and really good gameplay mechanics.

My biggest problem with the mod was when my male Dragonborn tried to have sex with Serana using the scripted options from the mod.... she tried to fuck him instead. That was a deal breaker.

Oh my fucking god, someone else actually has similar thoughts to mine.

 

I've played with her and Sophia as followers long ago and it was when those two were together that Serana showed how much of a bitch she was. Constant subtle jabs and belitteling comments about Sophia started to grind on me. Sophia may have been a bimbo and an airhead but at least she was honest about herself, straightforward and, once you get far enough in her relationship, very loyal and caring. Serana turned up being a smug bitch and by the end of the Dawnguard questline I genuinely hated her so much, I dumped her ass as soon as possible and immediately married Sophia. Serana was not invited but turned up anyway and was of course all "oh, I'm so happy for you" bullshit. At that point I wished there was an option to just tell her straight away to shut up and GTFO and observe her reaction and then rub even more salt in.

 

Now, credit where credit is due, this actually makes SDA an excellent mod and I tip my hat off to @Martimius and Kerstyn. It is one thing to make what seems like a lovable waifu at first sight, but making a character so nuanced that you start to loathe her after getting to know her better, is truly an achievement.

An diesem Punkt wünschte ich mir, es gäbe eine Möglichkeit, ihr einfach sofort zu sagen, sie solle die Klappe halten und GTFO und ihre Reaktion beobachten und dann noch mehr Salz einreiben.

 

Nun, Ehre wem Ehre gebührt, das macht SDA tatsächlich zu einem exzellenten Mod und ich ziehe meinen Hut vor @Martimius und Kerstyn. Es ist eine Sache, etwas zu machen, das auf den ersten Blick wie ein liebenswertes Waifu aussieht, aber eine Figur so nuanciert zu machen, dass man sie zu verabscheuen beginnt, nachdem man sie besser kennengelernt hat, ist wirklich eine Leistung.

You don't only find something like that in a heterosexual man-woman relationship - but also in homosexual partnerships.

That's what makes this mod significant enough to add significant depth to the otherwise fairly simplistic relationship between the player character and the vampire waifu.

Of course not all players like that their "doll" (i.e. Serana) suddenly becomes as complex as real life...
..they had hoped for a fun game like "I Tarzan - You Jane".

Serana, of course - but Sofia also has a massive inferiority complex - which she tries to hide behind lots of babble.

In this respect, both "girls" take nothing in terms of "self-confidence" - they both have very little of it.

With Serana you know why - with Sofia this remains open.

But if you play with the companion "Recorder" - it's just as weird.

I have the feeling that she's in the sack in the relationship between Serana AND Sofia

 

Actually, none of the three need it - i.e. lack of self-confidence - which they hide behind a facade
all three are so good at taking care of themselves in battle - that as a Dragonborn you can sit back and let the girls do it all.
