PoV for my Floran player character was working fine then it suddenly broke, I haven't really added any mods that should be messing with those specific files so I'm not really sure why it may be happening.

 

I'm using the pak version of both PoV redux and Sexbound Reborn, tried both reinstalling and changing to the unpacked version of PoV and that didn't seem to work either.

EDIT 2: I quickly made another Floran character, spawned in the GFY platform to test if the PoV on Actor 2 was also broken on her and it worked fine, after some more testing, I think the issue is really stupid, I was using the Facemask that comes with SxB on my character's face cosmetic slot, I was also using some glasses on one of the extra cosmetic slots that I think OpenStarbound (unless for some reason some other mod I'm using does this) adds, for some reason having that equipped was what bugged out the PoV animations for my character, after I removed the glasses, everything went back to normal.

The log points to nothing out of the ordinary other than missing frames issues, where it looks for a frame outside an image and fucks up, but it isn't supposed to cut images like this;

What i'm thinking is that, somehow, the added cosmetics from OpenStarbound slots apply to your character directives (Your body colors, effects, etc.) directly, and apply their mask, which is smaller than the PoV images, thus cutting them off. But this is just theory-crafting. If they're actually doing this, that's a bit goofy.

Yep, seems to have fixed the issue with the artwork being cut off for my character on both actor 1 and 2 positions.

Yeah, Imgur decided to become fully paid and they were going to post all my images publicly or something, don't remember the full details, but had to close the account, and i very much doubt i'll be able to upload the GIFs to LoversLab...  But i can try a few more times.

Edit: Tried uploading the GIFs again, they're not that complicated, even compressed them down to 1.5MB and only a single GIF and it still failed, while deleting my whole patchnotes and not uploading a single image!

That's weird.
I was able to add GIFs to my supports without any problems.

Spent several days trying to upload them the first time, and that's why i used the IMGUR method later, but if you can do it, good luck! All my GIF uploads cause issues with LoversLab.

When I got the cute avian GIF to use in the harpies' support, I opened the GIF in a new page, downloaded it directly to my computer, and then uploaded it to the support page.
I never use images in links because they tend to cause a lot of problems.
Try to find the GIF you want and save it directly to your computer, then put it on the page.

do i need both 4.2.0 and 4.0.1 or just either one? Because the former says "API PoV Redux" whilst the latter just says "PoV Redux" so i wonder if they're the same

I've never uploaded it to another page and linked it in LoversLab, i've always directly uploaded it to the website, but whenever i do, the "Save & Submit new version" button just loads forever, and i get a page from CloudFlare saying LoversLab is not responding,

The only time i got the page to work, was when uploading them to ImgUr and linking the images as previews in the mod page.

As i say this, i find out what the problem was;

Apparently it also tried to reupload all the 4 mod files every time i just updated the details with no new files. This made the page not load. So for now, the ZIP version of 4.0.1 gets nuked so i can upload the GIFs.

4.2.0 if you are using Sexbound Reborn, 4.0.1 if you are not using Reborn. There are still people that use old Sexbound, due to one reason or another, beliefs in some cosmic force that claims their old mods all work perfectly as intended in that version or something.

The adition of the word "API" onto the name was my stumbling onto the keyboard when i was dead tired probably.

Hello! I'm having trouble with the mod right now. The PoV screen will not even show. I checked the log, and it says some assets are missing, but that shouldn't be causing this, right?

Nothing seemingly wrong in the installations;
The PoV window is a little P in the bottom right corner. If it is grey, it is hidden.
If it is blue, it is active.

If it is active, and the little box never shows up even between humans and florans, then something isn't right.

However no errors or anything is being pointed out here;
Only thing i can notice is that the module message appears be there, which implies it is running.

"Main" is the PoV module, "Cutscene" is the sub-module if installed.

Do, however, disable "Node Logging" from the main config, as it is mainly used for very specific error logging, and otherwise floods the log file with tons of Node stuff.

Other than that, i'd ask for an image of the screen when you expect it to show up and the little bottom right corner button.

Not something i've been keeping track of, i'm afraid. I usually have to keep track of the opposite since people often ask for technical/troubleshooting help.
Searching for "PoV" should provide many results. Most mods (That feature PoV art) are compatible, with only a few causing issues. A few others that replace PoV in it's entirety aren't going to be quite as compatible though.

Hey there, just figured I'd let you know that neither your mod's download page nor the mod's filenames clarify which version of the file (4.0.1 or 4.2.0) is for which version of Sexbound, be it either the older version or the newer Sexbound Reborn version. Just figured I'd say something since some of us still swear by the older SxB and not SBR due to older mod compatibility and mod availability... I swear it used to clarify it once upon a time or something...

 

That being said, thank you for your efforts on working on this mod for us degenerates lol. ❤️

Used to be down in the "Changelog" section that gets auto-generated with every update, but it got wiped when i was trying to upload working GIFs to the preview.

I'll revise the description and add big red text since it is a very common problem that people install this with the wrong version or install it with incompatible/not required setups.
