Underlorb Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I have uninstalled and reinstalled everything from the game to the mods for the last 6 hours. I am really struggling with FNIS. My latest issue is after having skse, SkyUI, and FNIS installed, the game won't start unless FNIS and it's data folder are disabled. I went ahead and attempted to continued anyways as I couldn't find anyway past that and was just getting annoyed and downloaded everything else until Sexlabs was installed. Game still won't start and these are the warnings I currently have. >>Warning: Generator not run from a legal (Steam) Skyrim installation directory. Just Don't Posted March 15, 2022 Posted March 15, 2022 I think that's a SE game with a LE FNIS installed. Remove FNIS, get FNIS for SE. Use nexumods for Skyrim Special Edition, not Skyrim. Do the same for every site and mod you want to use.

Thanks for the help so far. EDIT: Think I know what's happening. Need SE version of another mod, I assume the XP32 one

I would probably consider it if you don't care for the CC content use this one https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/57618 Will make most things easier but you will also have to use the Sexlab version of the correct game version, so if you have sexlab for AE rn and downgrade, you need the one for SE. But for most mods, i think they should have compatible versions for AE now (big question mark tho.)

If I try launching the game from Nexus Mods, it just runs FNIS and then nothing else happens. If I run from Steam, then just nothing happens. I did some of my own troubleshooting by disabling FNIS to see if it would work. It did not. I reinstalled the skse. No difference in results. A black scene popped up for a moment and then went away. I attempted to run through Steam and got the same thing.

I attempted to run through Steam and got the same thing. What mod manager are you using, Nexus Mod Manager? I haven't used that in years, but if you're hitting Run or Start or ??? and FNIS runs, I think there's an option of which executable will run and you still have it set to FNIS. You should have options there for Steam and SKSE, or xEdit or Bodyslide if you have those installed. If by starting from Nexus you mean Vortex, I would have to guess that you have the same option. Make sure you select the right executable to start the game.

Skyrim 32bit: ??.??.?? - That is Skyrim Legendary Edition not SE or AE. Get rid of all the SE mods and install the correct mods for your game.

Get rid of it and install the SE version. The message wouldn't be there if you had installed the right one.
