I'm not 100% sure if I understand your explenation of your process.  But here is the process that works for me (example used: lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx)

  • delete the mesh in the FLVER-Editor
    • You should now have 3 files
      • lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx (not yet modified armor file)
      • lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx.bak (backup file to restore original armor)
      • lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx.LG_M_1290.flver (.flver file with your adjusted mesh)
  • unpack the lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx file by dragging it over the yabber.exe
  • delete the LG_M_1290.flver file in the unpacked .dcx folder (folder located in same place as .dcx file in ELDEN RING\Game\parts, called lg_m_1290-partsbnd-dcx ),
  • replace deleted .flver file with the flver file generated by the FLVER-Editor (lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx.LG_M_1290.flver)
    • Don't forget to rename lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx.LG_M_1290.flver to LG_M_1290.flver, so that it has the same name as the file you just deleted (just delete the lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx. part of the name).
  • Repack the .dcx file by dragging the lg_m_1290-partsbnd-dcx folder over the Yabber.exe
  • Afterwards, you have to click "Patch" in UXM.
  • Now your modification should be visible in game.
    • If you want the original armor back, delete the lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx file and rename lg_m_1290.partsbnd.dcx.bak by removing the .bak part of the name.

Thanks a lot for this clear guide.

I took a crack at some low hanging fruit and removed the "skirt" off some of the armor torsos. People can use them with some of the already modded leg armors for a bottomless effect: https://imgur.com/a/hd7LYOt I've attached the ones I've done.

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to change the masking so you can add the player model back in without needing to use Yapped-Runebear?

Also, is there a way to "undo" changes in Yapped? Or batch select vertices? It's fairly fast if you just want to remove the entire mesh from a point down, but if you want to leave some bits long, you have to right-click on a point and click delete face a lot.

Thanks a lot for your precise and efficient tutorial, buddy!

I'm a total noob in moding and I managed to strip the clothes off with Flyver! :)

In addition, I was thinking if it would be possible to put pubes in Stella's beautiful model, through exporting and meshing this great mod with pubic hair published here:

Do you think it's a possible thing to do? I mean, something that a noob (like me) could get it.

P.S.: I like your mod done upon Stella original model: you fixed some imperfections, but for my taste, I prefer the original Stella, because she is thiccer. ???

Look back at the previous pages, it involves Flver and Yabber.

Drag the "lg_m_1250.partsbnd.dcx" file from the Stella mod onto the Yabber.exe file, then edit the .flver file it gives you (inside the new folder that pops up) with Flver. To get the model without clothes, press "Mesh" then delete all the clothing items you do not want. "Check" allows you to see what each row messes with, so you'll know what you are deleting. Check the Delete box next to the item you want gone (make sure the Chose box is checked as well) then once you delete what you want, click on "Modify" to apply your changes. All you have to do from then on is to replace the .flver file inside the unpack folder with your new .flver file then drag the entire unpacked folder onto Yabber.exe to pack it back into a .dcx file. Replace the .dcx file from the Elden ring game/part directory with your edited .dcx file, then patch via UXM if needed. You should be good to go.

To make the skin color from your face match your body the values are:

"R: 255

 G: 176

 B: 158"

It's relatively simple:

1. you have to download the Stella model in Nexus:  https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/617

2. you have to modify it with Flver: https://github.com/asasasasasbc/FLVER_Editor/releases/download/1.97/FLVER_Editor1.971.zip

3. follow DorkDiva's great tutorial which I mentioned in my post.

4. to make your life easier, you can use the "mod" I made (whose link is below).

5. to install it, just do the same way as Stella original mod, but change the uploaded file below.

After all steps, you're good. In fact, I'm waiting some modifications in Stella original model (following the author in Nexus), so that some imperfections can be fixed: removing some tan marks, adding pubic hair etc.

Oh... that's a really nice mod. But also the creator (or are they just the video uploader?) is saying that they're not sharing? oh well.

holy hell...they figured out the physics

BTW, https://smutba.se/ has a massive repository of 3D nudes if you all want to go crazy porting nudes to Elden Ring. The process can borrow the armor nudes porting process that people have been using - i.e. just have nude body parts as armor instead of trying to replace the nude Elden Ring body - won't respond to skin color changes, and won't have clipping issues due to wearing armor over the body.

Nice. I'd love to see a version without the hood but keeping the shawl/tail

Probably not possible without the user editting Yapped-Runebear masks unfortunately.

You guys think this game will ever get a mod manager so you don't have to do all the unpacking, yapped stuff and packing?

There's a "Elden Mod Loader" on Nexus, but I'm unsure as to how to set-up or integrate mods into it.

Hi FearStyle,

You can use the Mod Engine 2 for Elden Ring
https://github.com/soulsmods/ModEngine2/releases

Just Download this under Assets, and unpack it where you want.
Then on the "mod" Folder you can create a Folder named "parts"
On this Folder you can put the moddet *.dcx Files.

To use these mods in the game, you have to start from ModEngine 2 root Folder "launchmod_eldenring.bat"

Hope this helps

Does this work for reversing the masking of body parts? (Like the legs for trousers, etc)

Finally got my ass off to doing it (mainly because I finally reached her in the game again).

Drop the files into your /chr folder once you've unpacked the files. I'd recommend you backup your original files (put a 1 behind the file extension makes it easy).

The chr8900 file is her cinematic cutscene file - it needs some work, but won't stop you from playing the game. Her lower jaw disappears while in her Blade of Miquella form for some reason (not sure why; the entire body mesh is one component, shouldn't have a mask on it). Also her tits poke through her gear (that she's not wearing in her in game version) - so if you want a less buggy looking cinematic, over a hornier one, skip copying that one over.
