Choosing a prostitution mod

I've used Radiant Prostitution for a very long time. Always was satisfied with it (minus a few buggy quests). Free-roam is nice, lots of customization on how much you're paid. But apparently TDF Prostitution is way more popular. It got me curious on trying it.

 

Does TDF Prostitution do anything that Radiant Prostitution can't? What are some pro's/cons for each of them? I've only spent a couple minutes with TDF so far, and the one thing that stands out to me is this dance animation. I think that's pretty neat. What else does this mod have that is convenient? 

 

The main things I am looking to get from a prostitution mod are mainly free-roaming (the less script intensive the better). I'm not a fan of approaching NPC's asking them for my services (that's what I use SLEN for). I prefer when NPCs walk up to me, ideally immersively. Pimping NPC's is also a high priority. From what I have read, TDF has a limit of 3 NPCs you can pimp out at once. That's pretty lame. I don't think there is a limitation to how many with Radiant (just equip the jewelery on every NPC you see, and watch your PC burn). 

 

Any alternatives besides these two, that could be considered better? It would be amazing if one existed that worked in un-loaded cells. Imagining walking into the bannered mare, witnessing a scene already in progress. That would be so immersive. But from what I know, the prostitutes only prostitute when they're loaded in your cell. Maybe that's a technical limitation? 

 

I had an idea of using "Adventurers PKG for NPCs" in combination with Radiant Prostitution. Adventurers PKG makes (personally picked) NPC's travel around the world in groups. I could make groups of whores travel around, soliciting their services, even when I am not around. If only a prostitution mod existed that worked while you weren't around.

 

TLDR: Looking for opinions on prostitution mods.

The impression I got is RP is more hands off, watch women whore themselves out while TDF is like a pimping sim. I hate managing npcs so I never tried TDF either.

Spent some more time with TDF and the whores seem to follow you around while their looking for clients. That's a bit annoying too. I mean you can have them follow you and then order them to wait, to get around this. But still a bit annoying.

 

In terms of script load, do you know which is heavier? I am assuming Radiant.

Script load is irrelevant.

You can have 18 (or 21) with TDF and its plug-in.

I think the question is more "what do you want out of the mod?".  RP has quests for you the whore-player to do.  It provides content through its quests but lets you (I think) also bring NPCs into that content.

 

TDF's PP is more like swmas said, a pimping sim, though pretty simple. You can pimp yourself out or gather up to 3 NPCs and pimp them out, either with or without your services. When you've done that 10 times, you can turn them loose and then it is a really light weight econ sim, in that you show up and get money. No trade routes or anything else to manage.  if you want to take the long, less managed route, just approach an NPC when you are in town for a quest, offer them money for sex, and after enough trips through town you can put them to work for you and start on another NPC. (or open the mod in an editor and find my comment on the TDF support thread for what to edit if you only want to make them work for you once and change that.)

 

I've used TDF a lot more than RP since RP has been in development and it seems some of the quests are broken, plus TDF is more what I want in a "walk up to npc, ask for sex, get sex" mod.  TDF also has the guard interactions feature if you want to make a game of hide and seek out of your game.

 

So, what DO you want in your game, and what questions did reading the support thread not answer?

I prefer RP even though some of the quests like Home Deliveries are buggy. What I do like about TDF is the dance feature... but I already have Dance for Septims (which is based on TDF) for that.

I just use TDF and RP together in one LO:

• TDF-P to create better standings with any kind of NPC, pimping, dancing (rising NPC arousal) and for PAHE
• RP for sLOLAr
